RIP Germaine Mason, the British high jumper who won silver medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing aged 34 in a car crash.

An unexpected medal that was when I watched it. A great moment from those Games. RIP Germaine.

R.I.P to Ugo Ehiogu who has died at the age of 44 after collapsing at Tottenham's training ground yesterday. I remember him from Aston Villa and Middlesbrough when I was growing up and he was a good defender, he also played a few times for the England national team. He will be missed by many for sure.

Such sad news to hear about Ugo. He was a very good defender, one of the good guys in football. Scored in an friendly against Spain in March 2001. Was part of a League Cup winning team three times with Villa & Middlesbrough.

RIP.

A great motorcyclist he was, my favourite MotoGP rider he was. The way he won the title in 2006 from the dominant Rossi was brilliant and courageous.

RIP Nicky Hayden

Former Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tioté has died at the age of 30. I remember the volley that he scored against Arsenal in the 4-4 draw where Newcastle were losing 4-0 at half time. May he rest in piece sad.gif

RIP Cheick Tiote.

I remember that volley from the 4-4 draw against Arsenal as if it was yesterday. It was his only goal at his time in Newcastle. One of the great Premier League goals.

He was part of the Ivory Coast winning team at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

I remember that goal, my dad and I used to play a game similar to the Premier League game. Difference was that we had a team in each of the four divisions and Newcastle was one of them. Totally ruined my prediction that day.

R.I.P. Cheick Tiote.

Former Wimbledon champion Jana Novotna has died at the age of just 49. She is probably best remembered for bursting into tears after losing to Steffi Graf in 1993 and being consoled by the Duchess of Kent. She finally won the trophy in 1998.
