For the second consecutive year Martin Garrix is the world's number one DJ, to the surprise of absolutely no-one. I feel more and more out of touch with the DJ Mag top 100 list every year though as there are a lot of names here that I have lost interest in and more that I've never heard of. Good to see that at least Avicii is still top 30 despite him having not released anything most of the year and retiring from DJing.

Nice to see Marshmello Top 10! I think the problem here is that a lot of these DJs never really broke through in the UK/had minor hits whereas for the rest of Europe they're massive.

^None moreso than Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, with still just a solitary UK top 30 hit to their name after all these years
Good to see Melbourne bounce duo Sparks & Trumpet here, very good climb for latter. |

Yeah it is quite shocking that Hardwell, DV/LM and AvB have only one top 40 to their name each (well Armin has two but one was in 2000).
Though I am not a fan of any recent Harderll or DVLM material so.. |
