My Life Story, of Britpop-era chamber-pop fame, responsible for the brilliant "12 Reasons Why I Love Her", are back, and surprisingly have released a new single, "24 Hour Deflowerer". Given that it seems like this version of My Life Story are going to be a more tour centric line-up, which is probably why the new single drops the orchestral section and instead is more of a straight-up rock song -

I guess it is lyrically very much them and it is nice enough but I can't say I'm particularly enthusiastic about it as a comeback - nor them actually, they were never one of my Britpop faves.
