Would love to know some sales figures as we only ever seem to hear of first week sales! Considering they have sold over 1 million singles in the UK im sure there are some pretty interesting sales performances!

Posted by: Gleek! 18th May 2010, 12:19 AM

The most recent sales figure i can find for 'Don't Stop Believin' is from the March 15th Music Week report - 300,283.

Not including this week at #70 though DSB is estimated as 367,500 according to the YTD Singles thread.
Tis the 10th best seller of 2010 so far in the UK.

Vol.3 could reach a new peak this week biggrin.gif
#2 behind Aguilera in the mids.

I wonder if they could hold the top 2 albums next week what with the EP out and the Jonathan Ross appearance.

Scrap that! Oasis GH out :/

Hopefully the two original songs will do better than most of the songs have done this season.

Posted by: Jonjo 11th April 2011, 10:58 AM

They certainly have a chance to do so. I just hope Radio 1 playlist LLM at least, so it CAN become a big hit, DSB style.

I still think Hell To The No is the best of the lot.

QUOTE
The second series of Glee drew to a close last week, and with it Glee Cast’s chart activities will also go on hiatus. They are going out with a bang, however, charting three more singles inside the Top 75, to bring their career haul to 93. Their new hits: Light Up The World (number 48, 6,265 sales), Pretending (number 63, 4,365 sales) and For Good (number 65, 4,260 sales). Only three Glee Cast songs have made the Top 10, 29 have made the Top 40, and 186 have made the Top 200. Overall sales of 3,319,811 include a top tally of 480,148 for their number two hit Don’t Stop Believin’. More interestingly, although 27 Glee Cast songs have charted higher than Defying Gravity (number 38) it is their seventh biggest seller (58,296 sales).

'I Love New York / New York, New York' is also new at #83 this week!

Somebody from the Official Charts Company was just on 'The Story of Glee' and said they have sold just over 3,000,000 singles and 1,500,000 albums in the UK alone! biggrin.gif

Volume 6 is back in the top 40! 'The Warbler's' album suffers a minor fall and Volume 5 re-enters the top 100 after a two week absence! biggrin.gif

"We Are Young" has total sales of 18,983.

Glee Cast gain their first top 100 hit of the season with "Mine" this week, with one or two more likely to appear in the 101-200 section! cheer.gif "It's Time" also charted at #170 a couple of weeks ago.

Britney 2.0 peaked at #122 on the albums chart, but it was download-only. I expect Glease will chart much better this week, as will Season 4, Volume 1 when released here in a couple of weeks' time.

"Everybody Talks" was #152 the week after the three above/"Mine" and "Some Nights" was #168 the following week.

Posted by: THEO. 7th April 2013, 06:59 PM

#77 for "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)"! biggrin.gif

Posted by: Jáhq 16th June 2013, 09:54 PM

#90 for "I Love It", 2nd highest top 100 hit of the season and the 3rd of the season overall - excellent to see them take advantage of Icona Pop's silly label. biggrin.gif

BUMP
How do you think Glee would have done in the charts if it had be shown now with streaming?
