Ugh at 'Say Something', I suppose it's too much to ask for it to drop out again this week if it's as high as #10 today I really don't get how it's managed to make a bigger impact the second time when surely the viewing figures for the first episode would have been higher? Whateva ~ I see what you mean but there won't be a link between how many watched the show and how many bought the song because of it. I don't know how to explain it further but I know there's no link. Either way I'm still thrilled it is currently Top 10 in the mids, definitely re-entering the Top 40 this time round. I'm still shocked about 5SOS being so high even if boybands always do well on physicals. Being close to the Top 10 or even just inside I would think was pretty reasonable but not Top 3, certainly not for a song which hasn't really had the most promising chart run so far. Robert Plant at #1 as I expected but I could definitely see him down to #4 at least by the end of the week. |

Ouch for Duke! In that case I'm even more glad it missed #1.
Need U and I Got U are far, far better. Would love it if he could turn it around for his next single and get another #1 smash |

and Banks should have released months back! This is definitely the issue. There was a real buzz around her when 'Brain' dropped, but delaying the album for MONTHS after that and practically premiering 60% of it before release doesn't give too many casual listeners a reason to buy. Shame as it's mostly a wonderful album. Boo at Jhené missing out. |

I don't get that, why would there not be a link? Just because someone's watched a show, it doesn't mean they're going to buy the song. I really don't know how to explain it but I know what I'm thinking! When you consider the millions of people who watch X Factor, a difference of perhaps 4k of what 'Say Something' has sold on this Tuesday update compared to last week's is nothing. So because the sales are tiny in comparison to the views, there's too much of a big gap for there to be a link. |

Do you know if/where Sigma's Changing was, since it was higher than Ten Walls on streaming (#62 against #98)? I would say we only know 10 Walls position from last week because it is listed as a climber in the top 200s for the mids - with Sigma not out until next week we will have to wait for its top 200 streaming chart run unless it jumps into the top 75 this weekend which i doubt it will as its not doing as well on streaming. I asked whether it was top 200 in the sales topic on Sunday and when Alan Jones' commentary was added he stated that Meghan was the only top 200 debut which wasnt officially on sale which must have been a mistake. Hope this makes sense |

Lilly Wood was on 18.2k last Tuesday, a slight increase on last week, it seems its sales are going to do the same as last week, probably a tad less though. I still think Lilly Wood will get a 3rd week.

I would like Lilly Wood to get another week from a personal opinion perspective but wouldn't mind Calvin doing the business as it would prove to everyone that releasing OA/OS can work if you do the right promotion.

I'm sure the reason 'Say Something' made a bigger impact is because it was still in the iTunes chart (somewhere top 100?) already and had less climbing to do, whereas last week it had to climb up from nowhere?

Very odd set of results there hopefully tomorrow will give a better indication as to what the chart will look like on Sunday
As I've said before this is the first week for a while where I really won't be disappointed who gets to number one! I'd love Lilly to get a 3rd week but then I think Calvin deserves it too so either way ill be happy but I'm not expecting great sales, maybe 75k max for the number one? |

Its only available digitally, the physical isn't out until the 22nd They are doing 7 album signings this week so the album is available to buy - They have also posted a separate list of stores selling the physical. I was expecting it to be higher as they have 4 physical versions available as a £20 bundle plus the downloads.. |
