2 wildcards

Jules and Matisee to win please heart.gif
The special guests are irrelevant people

Starts 7:30PM tonight wub.gif

Posted by: JosephStyles 31st May 2015, 05:55 PM

Isaac Waddington to win cheer.gif

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 06:06 PM

UDI ftw.

That obviously won't happen, of the ones with a real chance I would prefer the choir to win.

Posted by: Rooney 31st May 2015, 06:08 PM

I think it's between three acts unless one of the others comes up with something spectacular this evening!

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 06:32 PM

The wildcard thing is a bit weird, what happens if the judges picked the same as the public? Or do they know who's winning in advance & then choose someone else if they were gonna pick them initially? laugh.gif

I'd guess they know considering the vote for the wildcard closed on Friday evening smile.gif

Ah I was under the impression it was open until tonight.

2 pretty obvious wildcards there, shame IMD missed out.

Posted by: Cameron 31st May 2015, 06:35 PM

Oh those wildcards drama.gif

Posted by: ziggz 31st May 2015, 06:36 PM

I'm sorry but Jessie is a bit of a pointless act. Where is it going to go?

Posted by: Cameron 31st May 2015, 06:38 PM

Oh it's Lauren Platt's brother drama.gif

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 06:38 PM

Another solid performance from them. It's good that they change the theme each time.

Posted by: Cameron 31st May 2015, 06:39 PM

Also how many dance acts are going to dance to that mis-Teeq song?

Posted by: ziggz 31st May 2015, 06:40 PM

My 4 year old just informed me she doesn't like Alesha's dress as it shows her boobies lol

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 06:41 PM

watching this tonight, Lorraine Bowen to be a secret surprise wildcard and win the competition plz

Posted by: Rooney 31st May 2015, 06:42 PM

That was pretty good.

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 06:44 PM

the dance troupe was good but nothing we haven't seen before.

from what I've seen (i.e. Wednesday's acts), UDI are my faves. And looking at the OP I imagine it'll stay that way

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 06:47 PM

Oh I just missed a dance troupe, good.

Not huge on either of the wild cards... Jessie Jane is good at what she does, but it's not entertaining! If she was 10 years older and was the same, she'd not go through tbh.

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 06:50 PM

Wow that was amazing, glad they brought the good/bad guy theme back cheer.gif

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 06:50 PM

UDI were quite good but that wasn't a winning performance.

Posted by: Robot 31st May 2015, 06:51 PM

They are very unique and it's all so perfectly polished but there's just SOMETHING about UDI that doesn't quite wow me. It's fantastic but maybe it's the stories being told that are slightly uninteresting?

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 06:54 PM

They are technicall just as good as Attraction imo but the latter really moved me every time with such simple stories, whereas UDI's are pretty and very good but don't go anywhere and don't touch me. I'd be surprised if they came any higher than about 6th.

Posted by: liamk97 31st May 2015, 06:56 PM

Not impressed so far. :/ I agree that the storytelling of UDI isn't interesting enough - they need to get some hints from Attraction and present something emotional.

This song AGAIN rotf.gif

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 07:00 PM

lawd, that was such a pedestrian performance and what a terrible song choice too banghead.gif

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 07:00 PM

Oh god this song again rotf.gif It's one of those songs that the public inexplicably just take to though so I'd not be at all surprised if they sneaked top 5.
I actually like that song but meh, it's not the sort of song that's for a final to blow everyone away.

Posted by: Cameron 31st May 2015, 07:00 PM

This is a mess

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 07:02 PM

did they sing I Won't Give Up in an earlier stage of the competition then?? Or we are just rofling at the song being used in a talent show yet again

Collabro performed it as guest act on Friday. And yeah it is used on every show ever.

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 07:06 PM

Well it was easily their best performance but something I find unlikable about them...

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 07:06 PM

that was my fave of the night so far! very energetic and technically great, hope they do well here.

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 07:08 PM

Omg the end one with the green tattoo thing on his chest *.* he's like a hot Jake Simms.

I agree with Simon though actually. It WAS very good, but nothing special or that different. I did like that they tried to put a story to it with the elements thing but meh

Posted by: Ryan. 31st May 2015, 07:10 PM

Boyband were so much worse tonight than in their semi-final when I loved them. I liked how they took chart music in the semis and it made them commercial and you could see that working in an arena tour of some sorts, but tonight's was just like all the other dance acts with the speaking recorded onto the track and "dramatic music" accompanying it that I hate so much as no-one can ever do it like Diversity.

Posted by: Maurice Horan 31st May 2015, 07:11 PM

A friend of me texted me ''i wish lightning would strike me'' meaning the guy with the grey tattoo. laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 07:18 PM

Is it just me who finds Jessie Jame quite annoying? laugh.gif I can see why she's confident from winning that many titles but she's very big headed for a nine year old and quite off-putting?! As mean as that is to say about a 9 year old laugh.gif

Posted by: Cameron 31st May 2015, 07:19 PM

That just looked like a little girl running around playground thinking she is a ninja laugh.gif

Posted by: Robot 31st May 2015, 07:19 PM

I adore Jesse Jane, she stands no chance of winning but she's definitely my favourite wub.gif I always love the different acts though.

Posted by: Cameron 31st May 2015, 07:21 PM

Wasn't Calum meant to be next? Simon was obviously furious he wasn't last so marched and told the producers to sort it laugh.gif

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 07:22 PM

Jessie Jane was fun, probably won't win though.

Haven't laughed once at the stand-up guy which isn't exactly great.

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 07:23 PM

Danny was a lot better last time, but I loved his Marcus Bentley rotf.gif The Keith Lemon was good too but the others didn't exacrly grab me.

BB getting that promo tho *.*

Posted by: Robot 31st May 2015, 07:25 PM

Dara O'Brain was SPOT ON, that's his best impression yet for me.

Posted by: Robot 31st May 2015, 07:28 PM

I hope him fluffing the words has cost him the win. Just because he's a singer, I actually really like his voice but I just don't want a singer to win BGT, that's all.

Posted by: LeeWallace 31st May 2015, 07:29 PM

#diamondsareforever

gutted for him, wrong song choice sad.gif

Posted by: Cameron 31st May 2015, 07:30 PM

meh, just another one of those male singers with a 'weak' sounding voice for me sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 07:31 PM

He's good and all, I really like him (and he's hawt) but that was so week 5 shock exit in X Factor. Not winning material but I think he'll still be top 3. Còr Glanethwy or however it's spelled are most likely to win now I think!

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 07:33 PM

At least he got better as the song went on, I still don't like pop singers winning BGT though (that's what XF is for) so hopefully he doesn't.

Posted by: dandystar 31st May 2015, 07:33 PM

Didn't like that Rihanna cover version at all. :/

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 07:33 PM

Had to go out so missed the last bunch, from the comments doesn't look like I missed much laugh.gif

Looking forward to the magician just because it's the only act I have no idea what to expect.

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 07:40 PM

That was about as English as they could make it tongue.gif

Could definitely see them winning it & would be perfectly suited to RV.

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 07:40 PM

blegh, they weren't any different to any other professional choir. Not worthy of winning imo but of course they'll get the Welsh vote so will do well

Posted by: Cameron 31st May 2015, 07:41 PM

That was stunning I loved it! But maybe a tad boring?

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 07:43 PM

That was stunning and rather captivating, but not my type of music and as an act they're rather boring. It's exactly the sort of thing that the Queen would love to see at the Royal Variety and I'd be stunned if they didn't win looking at the bookies' odds.....

I'd just prefer a singing act not to win.

Posted by: Cameron 31st May 2015, 07:49 PM

Cringing already

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 07:50 PM

Oh dear, they literally made it drunk dads at a wedding...

Posted by: Josh. 31st May 2015, 07:50 PM

Who actually are the guest performers today?

Posted by: Robot 31st May 2015, 07:51 PM

They're not the most talented, not even close, and I previously haven't found them all that funny but that was fantastically entertaining. A lot of fun!

Posted by: Jester 31st May 2015, 07:51 PM

I missed Friday - did the shy young girl mess it up to not get through?

It's SO boring for me, obviously they have a talent but this is not my idea of entertainment in an entertainment show, would be the worst winners of BGT yet for me sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 07:52 PM

Sorry but that is an absolute embarrassment. I feel sorry for acts like Jonathan, Ella and the Kanneh-Masons who didn't even come top 3 in their semi whilst they're in the final. Call me miserable or tell me to lighten up or w/e but if that's "entertainment" I'd rather be bored.

Hope the choir doesn't win (and yes I am Welsh!)

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 07:57 PM

Didn't buy the 7 of Diamonds thing (Simon could have just told him before) but the note thing was very impressive!

Much better than his Semi which was a bit messy in places.

Old guys to win cheer.gif

Posted by: Rooney 31st May 2015, 08:02 PM

I get the X Factor comments, but I think this type of singer is not suited to X Factor at all.

Posted by: ziggz 31st May 2015, 08:03 PM

Just realized am watching this ten mins behind lol

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 08:03 PM

Isaac IS good, he has talent but I find it absolutely ridiculous that EVERY boy under 16 or so on BGT who can vaguely hold a tune (or not, in the case of Bars & Melody) has Britain spaffing. If he was female or 10 years older, he'd have bee like 5th in the semi at best. He does have control and everything but I don't think he's winner worthy, at all.

Fortunately, watching on the Tivo box meant that I could skip most of that.

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 08:06 PM

Interesting that the dog act gets the final slot, producers wanting another Ashley & Pudsey perhaps?

The magician SHOULD be in the top 3 but if Darcy last year wasn't I don't think Jamie will either.

Posted by: Ryan. 31st May 2015, 08:06 PM

Jamie really deserves to win, my 5 votes are going to him! Failing that I'd be happy with an Isaac win or a Jules & Matisse win assuming they are as good as their semi performance.

Old Men Grooving, Jamie, the Choir, Issac - only ones that stand a chance currently imo

Wouldn't rule out Calum either, didn't see his performance tonight but I think he's still get at least the same fanbase as he did for the Semi.

Hope OMG finish last tbh...

Posted by: ziggz 31st May 2015, 08:11 PM

Jamie was fantastic (so wish I knew how it is done)

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 08:11 PM

rankings:

  1. Old Men Grooving- Dance troupe
  2. Boyband- Dance troupe
  3. UDI- Electronic light dance troupe
  4. Jessie Jane- Ninja kid
  5. Jamie Raven- Close-up magician
  6. Entity Allstars- Dance troupe
  7. Calum Scott- Singer
  8. Isaac Waddington- Singer/pianist
  9. Jules O'Dwyer & Matisse- Dancing dog act
  10. Côr Glanaethwy- Welsh choir
  11. Danny Posthill- Stand-up comedian/impressionist
  12. The Neales- Vocal group

Old Men Grooving were actually great, found theirs very entertaining. Not a fan of the dog act at all though

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 08:18 PM

I think the top 3 will be the choir, the dog act & Calum.

Tough to call between those though.

The magician, Isaac or dog lady to win for me!

Posted by: HausofSHOWBIZ 31st May 2015, 08:18 PM

That has to win! Had tears in my eyes at the end, and the nail-biting tightrope walk just praying he made it across drama.gif Could be my favourite BGT act/performance ever <3

Posted by: LeeWallace 31st May 2015, 08:19 PM

DAN. f*** OFF.

The dog act HAS to win.

Posted by: JosephStyles 31st May 2015, 08:19 PM

Isaac delivered a really special performance tonight I think, I mean I was expecting him to be good but he managed to be even BETTER. All 5 of my votes will be going to him.

Jules and Matisse were my 2nd favourites of the evening, so so good. Them and Isaac are miles ahead for me.

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 08:20 PM

Oh my god I never cry at anything but that dog act omg <3 HAS to win. That or Jamie Raven are the only worthy two imo. I'd take the choir but imo they just have the talent, they aren't that entertaining.

Can't see Calum being Top 3, he messed the song up at the beginning and think others had better performances than him.

Gonna say choir, dog act and Issac

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 08:23 PM

the dog/trainer clearly have TALENT but I didn't find it that entertaining, doesn't help that I'm not much of a dog person I guess.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 31st May 2015, 08:24 PM

I'm hoping Jamie Raven , The Dog or Old Men Grooving win I really hope the Choir don't win it would be so predictable and although they are talented I find them so BORING

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 08:24 PM

All my votes went to Jamie just because it would be a unique winner for once.

Posted by: ziggz 31st May 2015, 08:25 PM

Dog, Jamie, OMG

Dog act was fantastic! I may have shed a tear

Posted by: JosephStyles 31st May 2015, 08:25 PM

The choir would be beyond underwhelming after some of the performances tonight, I really hope a miracle strikes sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 08:26 PM

My rank:

01 Jules O'Dwyer & Matisse
02 Jamie Raven
----------
03 UDI
04 Danny Posthill
05 Côr Glanaethwy
06 Calum Scott (ignoring the cock up a bit)
07 Jessie Jane
08 Isaac Waddington
09 Entity Allstars
10 Boyband
----------
11 The Neales
12 Old Men Grooving

Down to Isaac were all good, but even with UDI I had issues (that their storytelling wasn't anywhere near as touching as Attraction's) - the top 2 are MILES ahead. The bottom two were AWFUL.

Posted by: Jester 31st May 2015, 08:26 PM

Oh bloody Michael Flatley. Is this last ever thing a promise?

What a piss poor special guest manson.gif

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 08:28 PM

Actually found that very entertaining & glad they didn't pick some pointless singer!

Posted by: 'Dan 31st May 2015, 08:30 PM

that was actually quite good, although Michael is clearly too old for this, not surprised it's his last ever TV perf. His backing dancers were great though

Posted by: JosephStyles 31st May 2015, 08:31 PM

Amazing
1. Isaac Waddington
2. Jules O'Dwyer and Matisse

Really good
3. Danny Posthill
4. Jamie Raven
5. Old Men Grooving

(big gap here)

Not bad but not worthy winners
6. UDI
7. Entity Allstars
8. Boyband
9. Jesse Jane McParland
10. Côr Glanaethwy

No.
11. Calum Scott
12. The Neales

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 08:35 PM

I know Andrea Bocelli is a big name in his field but REALLY you'd think they could get better acts for the final. Even if it was like.... Leona Lewis.

Jules and Matisse to win!!

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 08:49 PM

Each to their own but I genuinely cannot see how somebody could vote for OMG over all the other acts there... How embarrassing for those below the top 4 to be beaten by them! People on Twitter are saying "it's ageist to not like them" which is ridic. I don't like them because it's just like drunk dancign at a wedding. Imo they're no better thatn Cameron Dylan from the other night drama.gif

About the right top 3 talent wise imo, which is great biggrin.gif

Posted by: Rooney 31st May 2015, 08:50 PM

Could be any of the three as winners - think Jamie and the dog act will have got a load of the casual/on the fence voters.

I did! Was really good, much better than their semi-final routine.

Aww Rooney, if you enjoyed them then good on you! Not my cup of tea though laugh.gif

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 08:50 PM

Would be happy with any of those winning although Jamie would be the only one I'd actually want to watch at the RV (though I never watch it anyway laugh.gif)

Posted by: Robot 31st May 2015, 08:51 PM

DELIGHTED with that top three. A magician, a dog act and a choir - none of which you could find on X Factor, hallelujah.

I don't mind who wins here, my preference is:

1. Jamie
2. Jules/Matisse
3. Cor

But I'm just delighted to see some variety here, all of which were superb tonight.

Posted by: Josh. 31st May 2015, 08:51 PM

I thought OMG wer actually rather competent dancer—especially the taller younger blonde one and the old small guy—so I'm not too shocked at how well they did. I certainly thought it was more entertaining than the choir sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 08:52 PM

I think all three deserve to win based on talent, but Cor are the least entertaining by far! I'll take any of them as winners, but Jules & Matisse are my preferred winners!

Posted by: Liаm 31st May 2015, 08:53 PM

OMG YES PERFECT TOP 2

Posted by: Dobbo 31st May 2015, 08:54 PM

They've done a Only Boys Aloud then (who were the bookies favourite in 2013 at one point).

The ideal top 2 then, come on Jamie!

WOW. A magician and a dog act top 2, even better! So so happy regardless of the outcome here.

YES at the Welsh choir not winning biggrin.gif

hopefully the magician wins, we've already had one dog winner.

Think the fact it performed last was the clincher.

Great winner though, I much prefer to Ashley & Pudsey as they do more interesting routines with themes.

David: Jeffrey Drayton
Alesha: Entity Allstars
Amanda: Revelation Avenue
Simon: Cally (Balloon Popping Dog)
Ant & Dec: Boyband
Stephen: IMD Legion

The right top 3 based on Tonight imo. I wouldn't mind the magician winning instead of Matisse but overall a really good final. One small negative. I've had enough of dance troupes..

Don't get me wrong they are talented and all but so bored of the somersaults/spinning on the floor etc that every act does and I don't know why but it doesn't seem to work as well on the live shows as in the auditions.

That's an interesting question. Here's a guess at an answer (and it is just a guess).

Maybe, a lot of the dance acts are used to performing in a fairly small space. That comes across well on television, as the cameras can show everything that is going on. By the time of the live rounds, perhaps they are using the whole of the stage more. Obviously, they have rehearsals, including an opportunity for the director to choose the best shot at any time. Even so, that still means that the television audience may not get the best view.

The same sort of thing can happen in sport. I've known football fans who have been critical of certain players but whose views have changed when they have been to a match and seen them play. That has given the chance to see how much work they do off the ball and away form the cameras.

Posted by: Hadji 1st June 2015, 01:18 AM

Jamie is way more talented and I enjoyed his magic tricks so he should have won. Jules did not deserve to win at all. Jules & Matisse are the adult versions of Ashleigh & Pudsey

Makes sense. The TV Cameras will often pan in on one individual or a section of the troupe and you lose the synchronisation element which to me is the only thing that makes it interesting. That and the routines are getting very samey. It just become reshuffling the moves. Shame as it must take a hell of a lot of work but its just not having any impact anymore (for me anyway)

So beyond delighted Jules and Matisse won cheer.gif The 3rd time now the best act by miles has won (after Ashleigh and Pudsey and Attraction). What an inventive, amazing, talented act which was fun, beautiful, perfect and flawless cheer.gif If I have to be honest I was actually crying a little bit after they performed and after they won kink.gif It was also good they won as I was the only one out of 6 in my house wanting them to win so that was a nice feeling wub.gif Also I voted 7 times for them heart.gif

I really like Andrea's performance, it was really beautiful heart.gif The other dancing thing though was a waste of time and I wish they got in a different special guest.

As others have said, Diversity set the bar so high that it is difficult for other acts to follow. There's always going to be a feeling that "Yes, they are very good, but not a good as Diversity". That's why acts like Attraction and UDI are more appealing to me.

I loved UDI first audition. It wasn't quite as good on the live shows but I think they deserved a much higher placing in the final. Going 2nd pretty much killed it for them.

All caught up today, utterly THRILLED that Jules and Matisse managed to clinch the win! The routine was so gripping, particularly the tightrope segment! The ending also brought a bit of a tear to my eye, haha. In fact probably my ideal top three, as Jamie pulled it out of the bag tonight, I think the whole helicopter thing was a bit TOO farfetched whereas this felt far more slick and the presenting was back to being top-notch after a few slip-ups in the semis. The choir were majestic also, and I'm usually not a fan of them, spine-tingling arrangements and song choices.

Thrilled that Callum came as low as 6th, he was painfully overrated throughout. The second half wiped the floor clean with the first half, really! Brilliant final on the whole.

Posted by: ziggz 1st June 2015, 09:27 PM

So the dog who walked the tight rope was a double

Posted by: JosephStyles 1st June 2015, 09:31 PM

I see a few people are saying that it's "wrong" for a different dog to be used, but really? It's still a dog on a tightrope, Matisse or not! Really impressive and deserved the win.

Well I've seen an article about how Jamie Raven's trick was uncovered but it doesn't take away from the impressiveness of it either.

I'm surprised the votes between the top 2 were so close! Possibly the closest final ever? Can't remember other years...

Posted by: Jade 1st June 2015, 09:56 PM

I think I remember about 2% between Diversity and Susan Boyle as well!

Posted by: Dobbo 1st June 2015, 09:59 PM

Well I had a check & indeed it is the closest final to date with only 2.2% between the top 2. Just beats series 5 with 2.4% between Jai & Ronan.

Diversity had 4.7% more than Susan Boyle! I also thought it was closer.

But we know that any magic act involves deception. That's the whole point. OTOH, it would not be acceptable if a good-looking "singer" mimed while a less good-looking singer provided the real vocals off-stage.

Posted by: Dobbo 1st June 2015, 10:08 PM

Good point, though I think that's a little different to the dog situation. There was still a dog trained by the contestant who did the tightrope part just wasn't "credited" in the act. He was in the SF performance too so at least it wasn't a random addition.

Posted by: Suedehead2 1st June 2015, 10:17 PM

But it should have been known to the audience. How many people would have voted differently if they had known what was going on? That particularly applies to the people who paid to vote.

Posted by: Mack 2nd June 2015, 10:59 AM

It was still a dog doing the tightrope. Although you have to say that BGT and the public have been mislead by Jules.

Posted by: Hadji 2nd June 2015, 11:22 AM

Jules needs to be disqualified for what she did and she should also hand over that £250,000 cheque to Jamie

Posted by: liamk97 2nd June 2015, 11:35 AM

It's mind-boggling how people are screaming how much of a "disgrace" this is and how "disgusted" they are. Get a life! tongue.gif It's quite clear it's not Jules' fault that it wasn't mentioned - let's face it, the producers control the whole show so that it goes their way - she still trained the dog and it was impressive. It wouldn't have been any less impressive had she mentioned the stunt double dog nor would people have changed their vote. People just like to make a big drama out of nothing.

For doing a magic trick that is known in the magic circle and has been/can be done by many others? https://www.facebook.com/ChristianFletcherMagic/videos/vb.197196993065/10153888113923066/?type=2&theater

Whatever dog did it, Jules is an incredible woman/dog trainer and she wholeheartedly deserved the win. The act is Jules and Matisse but that doesn't mean other things can't be brought into it. The other dancers on stage with Old Men Grooving weren't in that group so they should be disqualified too!!1

Posted by: FROOT. 2nd June 2015, 11:44 AM

lol at people forgetting that an actual dog, Matisse or not, walked across a tightrope on live TV.

Posted by: Mack 2nd June 2015, 03:12 PM

Don't get me wrong, FROOT. I still think it's was an incredible thing to watch a dog walking across a tightrope on live TV. Although we wait and see what happens there.

BUMP:

Ofcom has ruled that Britain's Got Talent viewers were 'mislaid' over the swap of Matisse for Chase during the final where Jules and Matisse won the show.

ITV will be offering refunds to people who voted for Jules & Matisse in the final.
