Because he's not featured, he just did a remix to the original song.

Not a big fan of Fight Song but it's a nice #1 for variety's sake and I do prefer it to Ain't Nobody. Nice to see it reach #1 somewhere, for sure!

Don't think I'll be able to tune in to another chart 'til December due to my class schedule, gonna miss this for the next few months. sad.gif

Biography
Justin Drew Bieber (/ˈbiːbər/; born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Bieber's current manager, Scooter Braun, first discovered him through his YouTube videos in 2007. Braun, as noted, was impressed with the videos resulting in contacting Bieber's mother, Patricia Mallette, about wanting to work with his musical abilities. Moreover, him having convinced his mother, Braun arranged for Bieber to meet with singer-songwriter, Usher, in Atlanta, Georgia. As a result, Bieber was signed to RBMG, a record label based in Atlanta, then to Island Records -- part of Def Jam Records -- with a recording contract offered by a prominent record executive, L.A. Reid.

He released his debut EP, My World, in November 2009. It has been certified platinum in the United States. He became the first artist to have seven songs from a debut record to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Bieber released his first full-length studio album, My World 2.0, in March 2010. It debuted at or near number one in several countries and was certified platinum in the United States. It was preceded by the single, "Baby", which is also, as of July 2014, the YouTube video with the most dislikes, and the most views on a Vevo platform. He followed up the release of his debut album with his first headlining tour, the My World Tour, the remix album titled, My Worlds Acoustic, and Never Say Never – The Remixes, and the 3D biopic-concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Bieber released his second studio album, Under the Mistletoe, in November 2011 when it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Bieber released his third studio album, Believe, in June 2012.

He has received numerous industry awards, including both Artist of the Year Awards at the 2010 American Music Awards, and the 2012 American Music Awards. He has been nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards. With his growing national and international fan base, they have been dubbed "beliebers" who largely consist of early to mid-adolescent women. He has millions of "followers" on Twitter and other social media accounts. He has been listed three times by Forbes magazine as one of the top ten most powerful celebrities in the world in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

I know he is not featured (a la Calvin Harris was on We Found Love for example) but not surely understand why it should not be credited then as that remix is the one that was sold, got the song to become a hit and peak that high, not the original song at all.

That doesn't really matter, it's still a remix of a song plus the OCC or the label (whatever) decided like this. The same was with Mr Probz - Waves. The Robin Schulz remix made it famous, still he wasn't credited.

We Found Love is not a good example as it was an original song with Calvin Harris.

To put it another way...

Felix Jaehn isn't the artist; he is (by virtue of the remix) part of the TITLE.

'We Found Love' is credited officially as Rihanna Feat. Calvin Harris anyway.

Lovely #1, way better that than that pretty unexciting Ain't Nobody cover. I'm so pleased Rachel Platten's managed to have a chart hit, something I'd never have called even when Fight Song was premiering.

It does make a nice change from some of the #1s we've had lately too.

A fantastic start to Jess Glynne's career with 5 #1 singles and a #1 album already. Time will tell if she will actually remain a major star beyond this album of course ~ Shame to see Bon Jovi breaking their run of #2 albums but maybe they can get back there with their next proper album.

And that's Aphex Twin/AFX getting a top 40 album after not being there in the mids twice this year ;o

That cover art of "Male" is hideous, good she got a top 20 album even though it will stay on chart for 2 weeks max.
