Not quite as radical as we were expecting but on the plus side, at least 'Faded' has finally been A-listed and '7 Years' has finally been removed

was expecting them to add Tom Odell, Drake, Galantis, even Will.I.Am, so very disappointing
only + thing is the Daughter add, although they're again in the INMWT wft!!!

WSTRN, The Vamps and Nick Jonas songs are all excellent so pleased with that!

Bit of a shame Selena has gone, but it was never going to go top 10 officially, and it's been a really big hit nonetheless, I'm still they'll still play it too.

Delighted to see The Vamps and Shawn added, plus Iggy and Meghan moving up!

Wrong Crowd is just an instant grat for Tom Odell, the actual single comes next week so they'll likely playlist that instead.

I think it's really good for The Vamps still managing to get R1 support after both the album's flatlining performance and the last single not charting... not that I'm sure it'll do anything for this single and I'm not sure how much longer their support will last.

The Vamps seem to be on good terms with R1, especially as they covered for Cel Spellman about a month and a half ago! I hope I Found a Girl can make it to the a-list but I think considering Rest Your Love's underperformance, even b-list is good really.

Radio 1 are making a big thing of "New Music Friday", and are introducing all the new songs that have been added to the playlist throughout the day. It's quite refreshing.

I have to say I was expecting Kiss it Better too, especially since R1 are seemingly working less to Impact dates now. Hopefully they add it next week.

It wouldn't surprise me if Radio 1 do still work to impact dates, it's just that labels are getting a bit less silly about when they actually are!

Plus I imagine it works a lot differently if it's not a lead single from an album, and it already exists on the album.
