Catching sight of this Tweet this morning left a chill down my spine. I sincerely hope that the girls - Rochelle, in particular, who has posted on her IG Stories about Paul's death - get their heads together and do something soon. The thought that they'll end up in this middle member club absolutely terrifies me. Tomorrow's not promised. They can flog M&S ready meals any old week or month. Doing even just one tour might not be able to happen again. |

I wonder if they've lost some playlist support on Spotify?
 Their monthly listener total is currently 867,248. In July 2022 it was almost 1.9m listeners! So it's dropped by more than half.

I love all 3 of them so much. MHTO is top 3 Sats for me and I actually prefer '30 Days' and WAYWF? more than fan fave songs like 'Not Giving Up', 'Work' and 'If This Is Love' oops x |

It literally is such an injustice that they haven't reunited. Their catalog is full of absolute bangers, I wish they'd just do a one-off celebration, like a night at the royal Albert hall or something. Hoopla is obviously a very Sats event, but it wouldn't be big enough to justify a reunion.
I miss them so much

I've said it before, but I think the biggest issue is that The Saturdays just isn't very profitable as a brand as they have to split everything five ways.
The best odds for them reuniting would probably be for Mighty Hoopla - a fan based event where they could just mess around and perform for an audience that likes them. |

I agree, I think there just is not the money in it to make it worthwhile for them or their record label etc. They won't sell out an arena tour so it would be a one off date somewhere, which they may also not sell out, and the amount to put into it would likely result in nothing.
I am more of a fan of them now than I ever was when they were together, have grown to really appreciate quite a few of their songs, I'd actually go see them now and I wasn't the slightest bit interested back then lol. (I did see them support Girls Aloud though) |

It’s funny that Frankie ranked All Fired Up as her #1 because it’s now my favourite track of theirs (but at the time of it’s release I don’t think I was that fond of it) it’s aged well though and I think it’s very much a Girls Aloud esque song structure wise. I’ll always remember that release week though where many Buzzjack faves released in the same week and Pixie got the #1!
I would love some kind of reunion at some point but they all seem to have other ventures going on Rochelle inpaticular always seems to get TV work. I do think at some point we might get a reunion however I mean it sounds crazy but 2028 will be 20 years since the debut album so that could be the best opportunity for some kind of reunion. They did well for themselves though. I always remember the anticipation of when they’d finally get that long awaited #1 single I used to lurk in the forum a lot before coming a member in the Saturdays forum which was one of the most commented on across the site. I may actually delve into their albums catalogue as whole albums. I think I own them all but it’s been ages since I played them as full albums. It’s a shame in a way that album seems seemed to be a weakness for them (Chasing Lights did go platinum though didn’t it). This post has been edited by JLJ: 10th June 2023, 11:21 AM |
