Dexton's Top 20 (19/09/2017) (Week 19)



This week Portugal. The Man's Feel It Still holds on at #1 for a second week, with Avicii's Without You featuring Sandro Cavazza at #2 for a third consecutive week. Climbing into the Top 5 is Marshmello's Silence featuring Khalid (9-3) which is Khalid's highest peaking song on my chart to date. Khalid also makes not one but two more appearances further down the chart. Dua Lipa climbs back to up #4, becoming the longest-running song on my chart this week after The Script bowed out last week. Dua has spent all 9 of her weeks on the chart in the top 5, with one at #1, as New Rules has become one of my most played songs of this year. Imagine Dragons & K.Flay come in at #5 this week with the official remix of Thunder.

Jumping back into the top 10 this week is Camila Cabello's Havana featuring Young Thug which debuted at #1 on the chart 6 weeks ago. Camila Cabello's previous single, Crying in the Club, peaked at just #20 on my chart many weeks ago. As you can see, I much prefer Young Thug to imitation Sia.

Speaking of Sia, Zayn's Dusk Till Dawn featuring Sia climbs (12-11) this week edging closer to the top 10, as does Fergie's You Already Know featuring Nicki Minaj (16-14) which also finds a new peak.

New to the chart is Lorde's Homemade Dynamite (Remix) which enlists the help of SZA, Post Malone, and - of course - Khalid, who makes his third appearance in my chart this week. Khalid joins Avicii as the only artist to have ever had three separate songs in my top 20 at the same time, after three of Avicii's songs entered at #1, #2, and #3 on the release of his latest EP. Albeit Khalid is just a feature on all three of his songs here. Also new this week is U2 & Kygo's You're The Best Thing About Me (#17) in a surprise collaboration and Bastille's cover of Green Day's Basket Case (#18) in a surprise cover. Bastille have always had an amazing talent with covering other artists songs (see Aerosmith's I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing) and likewise here they breathe a new life into the 1994 classic.
