BuzzJack Music Forum _ Television _ The X Factor ● Series 14

Posted by: jase. 24th July 2017, 08:16 PM

The X Factor returns to our screens on ITV next month! Simon, Sharon, Louis and Nicole are all back for the shows 14th series.

The Six Chair Challenge is currently being filmed.

Big changes have been confirmed by Simon, including themes FINALLY being scrapped and the live shows have apparently been cut down to six weeks, but with acts performing and leaving on both the Saturday and Sunday night each weekend.

Speaking at the recent filming of bootcamp in London, Simon reportedly told crowds: "All these crazy things we used to do with themes have gone, no more jukeboxes, none of that rubbish this year. The public are smart enough to know what’s real, that’s what we are focusing on this year."

I always complain about it but I still enjoy it and watch it religiously tongue.gif

HALLEf***INGLUJAH.

Much more excited for this year following that news.

Just seen an ad for it on ITV - some guy doing a rather laugh.gif rendition of Bey's End of Time.

Posted by: mdh 24th July 2017, 09:32 PM

So excited for this years series (after last year was imo the most enjoyable year ever!) - the one talent show I can fully get behind dance.gif. Plus they've got rid of themes, the only real bad component of the show, so it sounds like a gripping watch, especially with less live shows.

Posted by: Jade 24th July 2017, 09:32 PM

Hooray. Big Band week you will not be missed x

Posted by: mdh 24th July 2017, 09:36 PM

And the Halloween week where the exact same songs were performed every single year :shakingcheesebloc:

Posted by: Johnkm 24th July 2017, 11:05 PM

6 weeks of lives shows too, yay. When it was 7 a couple of years ago it felt a lot leaner and more enjoyable.

Posted by: cq(uavo)merqn 24th July 2017, 11:10 PM

Savannah from this series of BB has reportedly auditioned. Hyped to see that.

Posted by: Liаm 25th July 2017, 12:03 AM

Omg she has the most generic average voice ever, she'll be a 10 seconds in a montage airitme and gets cut at bootcamp type I'm sure.

YAAAAAASS at the theme weeks though, the odd one was ok but they were always the ones that were wide open anyway so didn't reall need to be a theme, like movies or #1s. I hated the genre ones with a passion though, big band and disco especially as nobody would release either of those after the show and they were so dated.

It is indeed Slavko! https://www.escxtra.com/2017/07/22/slavko-kalezic-factor-uk/

The Savannah rumour turned out to be a different Savannah in the end I believe. sad.gif

Posted by: jase. 18th August 2017, 11:44 PM

Well there's only one more Saturday left in August (26th) and still no confirmation when it's back which I find really bizarre.

EDIT: Rumours going round that it premieres Saturday 2nd September!

The advert's been going around a lot so it does seem likely it'll be back in a couple of weeks!

Random but can anybody remember the %'s between the final 3 (Matt, Saara, 5AM) from last years final?

5am had something like 30% when it froze and Saara got 40% out of her and Matt.

Excited for this. Especially with themes being dropped and performances on both saturday and sunday. Can see the not so good contestants be gone quicker rather than hang around for weeks on end laugh.gif Although knowing the public, the best people will be voted out first sob.gif

I watched religiously 2009-11 but I got pissed off early in the 2012 series and haven't bothered since. Thinking of getting back into it this year though.

Posted by: StillJupiter 23rd August 2017, 05:51 PM

Betting already that it will be shite. Would be happy to be pleasantly surprised tho. I will probably watch it anyway for the craic.

If they can just drop the heavy handed manipulation that would be fab.

Guest performances I should imagine Lady Gaga will get a gig, she is touring this autumn (London, Birminigham & Manchester: 9-17 October 2017) and also touring Little Mix.

So he admits we all knew that wheel gimmick was complete fakery!! Landing on Xmas themes just on time and others knowing their songs for the next week before it landed lmao.

Posted by: lewistgreen 1st September 2017, 10:04 PM

I do wonder what the setup for the series will be... are we getting the standard 6 auditions shows or more? If they're planning on getting rid of people on both Saturday and Sunday live shows then this will be over way before Christmas no?

Posted by: MoistSummerFruit 1st September 2017, 10:33 PM

Hopefully so as to leave Xmas no.1 well alone.

I think it still finishes the same time, I read they are sacrificing live shows in favour of more pre-recorded shows. Idk how I feel about that, I know that a lot of people love the auditions and whilst I enjoy that round I always feel by the time it's over I am ready for the next round so I'm not sure I'd want more. I suppose they could have a show or two of bootcamp, they have that whole bit between auditions and six chair challenge that gets quite quickly glossed over and it feels a bit rushed I don't think we'd want too much of it but I guess that could fill an episode and maybe we could have some more funny auditions to pad out the audition shows without it dragging on too much.

Sep 9/10 - Auditions 3/4
Sep 16/17 - Auditions 5/6
Sep 23/24 - Auditions 7/8
Sep 30/Oct 1 - Bootcamp 1/2
Oct 7/8 - Six Chair Challenge 1/2
Oct 14/15 - Six Chair Challenge 3/4
Oct 21/22 - Judges Houses 1/2
Oct 28/29 - Live Show 1/2
Nov 4/5 - Live Show 3/4
Nov 11/12 - Live Show 5/6
Nov 18/19 - Live Show 7/8
Nov 25/26 - Live Show 9/10
Dec 2/3 - Grand Final weekend

I imagine something like that but it seems like 4 episodes of Six Chair will be too much, can't remember what they've done in previous years?

Yass that Sats relevance!!

If it does go on to Xmas it shows what a liar Cowell is, claiming he never wanted the Xmas no.1 and it's just that's when the show ends.

Posted by: Liаm 2nd September 2017, 12:13 PM

Louisa and Matt both missed Christmas #1, Simon isn't stupid he'll know that he doesn't get Xmas #1 willy nilly so I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan's schedule was right actually, to give them more chance at #1 (but I still think the winner won't get a #1).

Posted by: Martyn 2nd September 2017, 01:44 PM

I really feel no hype for this at all. I predict lowest first show viewing figures ever for tonight. The only thing in its favour is every other channel seems to be running shit.

It feels like floggin a dead horse for iTV at thr mo

Posted by: Liаm 2nd September 2017, 02:01 PM

It still gets higher ratings than anything else that will be on tonight though laugh.gif Sure it's past its best than when 17 million people watched Matt Cardle win, but it's not a "dead horse". When the competition is Iolo's Great Welsh Parks (...), Casaulty, Great Canal Journeys and Stonehenge: The Final Mystery, I'm sure it'll do just fine. TV ratings are down in general so like 6-7million for a Saturday night is solid.

Posted by: Ryan. 2nd September 2017, 04:45 PM

Grace Davies is apparently on tonight, she's Janet Devlin's flat mate! *.* I've heard some of her original songs too, I can see her getting very very far based on them!

The welsh guy who bought his Gran along who sang Sam Smith and the girl (Shanaya I think?) who was last up on the Sunday show are my favourites from the weekend. I liked the guy who Nicole said she wanted to squeeze his cheeks and the girl who sang Roots, the original song.

Posted by: Martyn 6th September 2017, 09:16 PM

With only 6 live shows. I hope we only have like 8 contestants in the live shows. Other wise it will be multi eliminations most of the time.

Posted by: Davidson 6th September 2017, 10:10 PM

I really don't like the idea of hardly any live shows this series. The live shows are always my favourite bit and having hardly any takes away a lot of the spark for me.

Posted by: Ryan. 6th September 2017, 10:31 PM

I think there's going to be 12 live performance shows, just spread over 6 weeks (results on the same night, 2 shows per week). I think we'll probably get 16 finalists, first few weeks we'll get half performing one night and half the next night (with an elimination for each half)

Yeah I agree, I think that's what ruins The Voice a bit for me, you don't feel like you're watching them grow so much etc. because you see them sing live like 4 times laugh.gif I think Ryan will be right though it'll be just less time, which still irks me a bit as it doesn't give them the time to grow and feels like a bit too much but we'll see.

Interesting choices thee for once in a few cases, I hope they're not all the crappy joke ones laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 9th September 2017, 07:26 PM

Talia was bloody amazing!!! She could win this whole thing, she's got flecks of Paloma Faith, Amy Winehouse sort of thing.

Posted by: Jade 9th September 2017, 07:29 PM

Pretty Boy Karma were absolutely dreadful, I was half expecting Louis to like them so I was living for his "you make Jedward look like Simon and Garfunkel" comment rotf.gif

Posted by: Dobbo 9th September 2017, 07:35 PM

Still don't think much of this Nathan guy the second time around... I was cringing first time when he was begging to get through, if he didn't have the single dad sob story he wuldn't have got the chance drama.gif If you're not good enough nd you f*** the audition up, you aren't good enough.

Posted by: Dobbo 9th September 2017, 08:03 PM

Yeah he was no better the second time round really.

Posted by: Mart!n 9th September 2017, 08:03 PM

Bit of a dull show tonight, the last guy who sang Angels and Heaven was a tad boring, it just felt he was singing for his other half, which felt she has departed from this world recently. sad.gif

Rebecca has an amazing voice but she fels a bit awkward atm, she's one to watch I think!

The girls and overs are running away this year.

Posted by: Dobbo 9th September 2017, 08:17 PM

I feel we've had so many like her that do the exact same style & all sound the same, yawn.

Ginny Lemon was definitely my fave tonight laugh.gif

Ginny Lemon was bad as was the lad in heels, I don't get it, no one really stood out in a good way tonight unsure.gif

I definitely preferred last weeks cohort as I found this weeks very forgettable.

Just caught up on tonight's episode. The Girls and the Overs are definitely the strongest categories this year (so far), although I must say I'm a bit surprised Nicole has landed the Overs since I feel like she'd work with any category but that.

Even though she'd be in that category as a contestant I find her own music isn't suited to that demographic which is probably why it feels alien but definitely would work with any other!

When the voice over person was talking about The X Factor competition he said that one of the prizes are tickets to the final on December 2nd. I guess this means they no longer care about getting the Christmas number one.

Thank god for that.

They ruined the tradition for yeaaars out of Simon Cowell's ego.

Posted by: Mart!n 10th September 2017, 10:26 AM

In all the years X Factor has been on, Louis has never had the Girls category.

Nicole's category is not so bad really when you think about it, she could have acts between the ages of 25 to 33 as her final 3.

Posted by: Dobbo 10th September 2017, 11:07 AM

Yeah I've noticed that ^^ I think they're always so desperate so get a huge female star to win that they wouldn't trust Louis to not completely balls it up as a mentor. In fact only one series in the show's history has had a male mentor for the Girls (which was Simon last year).

What is the cut-off for the Overs this year? It seems to deviate between 24, 25 or 28+ every series. Overs have also won the comp 3 times so it's by no means a tainted category - that would for sure be the Groups.

Posted by: Mart!n 10th September 2017, 11:46 AM

Hearing the final is on the 2nd December, puts the winners single out of contention for the Xmas #1, unless they are going to wait for a week before releasing it this year, so it could have a full week of sales instead of the usual 4.

Posted by: danG 10th September 2017, 06:50 PM

tonight's songs

Whitney Houston - I'm Every Woman
Naughty Boy - Runnin (Lose It All)
Whitney Houston - I Have Nothing
Drake - Hotline Bling
Elvis - Can't Help Falling in Love
Ellie Goulding - Your Song
Sam Smith - Lay Me Down
'Punchline' (original, Aidan Martin)
Fleur East - Sax
'Sing It With Me' (original, Andy Holloway)

quite a boring song list save for Drake/Fleur.

Posted by: Ryan. 10th September 2017, 06:57 PM

The Cutkelvins are on tonight which feature a former Neon Jungle member!

They were also the stand-out act at the Six Chair session I saw but I won't say what happened...

SHEREEN !!!!!!! ohmy.gif

Posted by: Mart!n 10th September 2017, 07:14 PM

Very impressive band, and the vocals were pretty amazing, great song choice, could go all the way.

Posted by: Saenerys 10th September 2017, 07:15 PM

I'm surprised they allowed her to compete as she's had a record contract before - even if it was just one album! Shereen was my second favourite in the band after Asami but I wasn't a fan of that performance.

Posted by: Calum 10th September 2017, 07:16 PM

Was a bit wobbly to begin with when the brothers joined in, but they have potential to make it all work and go far.

Posted by: Liаm 10th September 2017, 07:16 PM

They were brilliant, I knew I recognised her but omg!! I don't see the problem of her having a contract before tbh, plenty of contestants before have. As long as they don't currently have a contract it doesn't matter. Especially as she was only in a girlband, and that f***ed up. It doesn't mean she should never have a chance ever again laugh.gif There are probably people with way more experience although they had a fair bit of commercial success for a new girlband and its a shame they were dropped so swiftly.

I've not got an issue, the producers have been fussy in the past hence my surprise. I was expecting them to bring up NJ in the room and encourage her to go solo.

Really liked the Shelly the tortoise chap, along with the Welsh guy who sang Lay Me Down last week, boys looking half decent so far (not as good as girls or groups tho).

I feel like they'll do it at bootcamp, I can see it now, the boys don't improve much and then they chuck Shereen in with the girls? laugh.gif But then again, the girls are so strong they hardly need to add another one, whereas the groups could probably do with her. Definitely - or even front show her in a new girl group, that would be pure fire drama kink.gif I think for me the boys were just there really and didn't add a great deal so wouldn't be too fussed if they got chucked.

Posted by: Liаm 10th September 2017, 07:39 PM

I feel like Deanna would be better singing Alicia Keys or Jazmine Sullivan or something similar, she sounds really strained on Whitney and I don't see how the judges were so enamored by that :/

Punchline sounds like the title sequel to Sledgehammer. Didn't rate the audition it was all very set up too much imo with the story the song the judges reaction.

Posted by: Liаm 10th September 2017, 08:04 PM

Yeah definitely, it's hard to judge the song as a song if they've set up so much it feels like you feel or him because of the story not the song laugh.gif If you're gonna sing an original I think you should let it speak for itself like Grace did last week.

Posted by: ThePensmith 17th September 2017, 09:51 PM

I caught a bit of tonight's show by accident whilst eating my roast. The show has curiously never looked more like it's on life support. I wouldn't be surprised if next year is the last year of it.

Posted by: Liаm 17th September 2017, 10:18 PM

Tonight was pretty shite, the Aretha Franklin girl was about the best but she was the overdone trope of being made to seem super ditzy and dumb so people think she'll be crap or basic and then comes out and she's really soulful drama.gif I agree Sharon was quite rude about the mother and daughter, I don't think the daughter was THAT good, she was better than the mother sure but I can't see how she was so ood that they go like that over her, she isn't good enough to compete with the likes of Grace or Holly in the girls category.

I agree with Harry the last guy was terrible, his tone on the second song was offputting and the Uptown Funk perf was so identikit.

Catching up on last night, the girl who sang Listen was good but she feels very generic big voiced diva imo. Also screaming at her family selling takeaway on the side of the road as a sob story.

Rai-Elle was good I think, can't really make my mind up and Sail was a bit of a random audition song but I guess it was nice to have something different. Idk if she'll d oa Tamera and have bags of potential but not quite make it.

What an appalling show tonight. The woman changing outfits, Nicole and Louis singing with the two old ladies...what utter filler/garbage mellow.gif

The woman ending the show oversinging Purple Rain was also horrendous.

Posted by: Liаm 24th September 2017, 11:16 PM

Yeah tonight was awful laugh.gif Berget was the only one I enjoyed really, technically she is brilliant but she's very Overs category in 2005, you just know should she make the lives that she'll only ever sing the same old ballads except the obligitary I'm Every Woman or Could It Be Magic week. Plus there is no commercial potential really, I know the show is hardly churning out Leona Lewis level stars now, but a 45 year old soul singer isn't going to set the charts alight.

This year in general feels lacklustre talent wise, the standouts from auditions for me were definitely Grace, Talia Dean and The Cutkelvins, but theres a handful of others I can see a lot of potential in like Georgina, Aidan and Rebecca. The boys category has been absolutely HORRIFIC, no wonder they'v lumbered them with Louis kink.gif Grace is leagues ahead of anyone though, if she carries on like this she'll just storm the whole thing like Louisa. I still tear up a bit and get chills when I rewatch her performance of Roots wub.gif

Posted by: BiLLYx 1st October 2017, 03:12 PM

I think Alisah is so musical theatre, she literally has no chance at a solo career at all. Shanaya is unreal, and I really like Grace Davis too! Aidan Martin's audition was so good too, and hope those three make it far!

Posted by: SeanGrey 1st October 2017, 07:55 PM

Holly’s version of Harry Styles was better than the original ohmy.gif such a standout, as was Georgina!!!

Sam Black is *.* I don’t get why the judges have been harder on him than most of the boys category? It’s almost as if they know the category is weak and there is little clawback from that. That cheesy proposal though drama.gif

Berget’s slot annoyed me, or more so the judges. Just because there are others in the category doesn’t mean she can’t sing songs which are suited to her genre and voice. Fantastic she’s through, probably the only memorable over for me this year!

I was thinking the same until the trailer for next week came on huh.gif

I don't think this format of song wall, boot camp and then six chair is working. It's too long drawn out and I'm finding the editing shocking so far of them not showing all song wall bits and then the contestant at boot camp, it's not very consistent sleep.gif

Posted by: BiLLYx 1st October 2017, 08:42 PM

my issue is we're listening to everyone sing a song now and then again next week - it's practically the same round with added chord - pretty boring

Posted by: Parallel Reality 1st October 2017, 09:02 PM

Boot camp was more or less laughably disasterous this year laugh.gif and I agree about the horrific editing.

Georgina was fab at the end though.

Posted by: DANKENSTEIN 1st October 2017, 09:13 PM

they really should have Song Wall and then straight to Six Chair Challenge..

Posted by: Liаm 1st October 2017, 09:24 PM

It's definitely too much, I don't think they need all this laugh.gif In previous years they skip through whole bits of bootcamp quite quickly and I think they should stick to that, I et that those bits are needed to cut down on the loads of people who made it through auditions but to televise ALL of it really does just drag. They could easily just allude to the fact that this is the process the contestants go through with a little montage but not show it all... The group bit was just a mess as I said and this solo bit always feels a bit Poundland Six Chair Change as it's the same thing just without the tension and pressure of getting and keeping a seat. There's just not a need for it all laugh.gif Like they don't show both judges houses songs and that's fine.

Posted by: Hocus Pokus 1st October 2017, 09:32 PM

My issue with this boot camp thing, its the flashback to the auditions, when acts come to stage to perform are they really needed, we already know what acts are through, we don't need the constant reminder of the auditions of how they got to boot camp, when they can show more acts, its like they show 2 acts, than an ad break, another two acts to follow by another ad break etc etc.

Also I find this series is a bit rushed. I think I know who the final 3 girls will be practically, I could easily pick the final 3 already, I can see them going for Holly that's one, as for the other girls the daughter that got picked over her mother, and Gracie. I wouldn't be surprised the 3 piece family band (2 boys and the girl, I can't remember the name of the band) going through to the lives.

I just thing this show needs to be shelved for life, sadly its contracted for another 2 years. Just needs something like it with a new concept to it.

Posted by: Liаm 2nd October 2017, 10:42 AM

Saturday received 4.9 million viewers average and a peak of 5.8 million peak, compared to a 9.3 million average and 10.2 million peak for Strictly, oh dear drama.gif

Posted by: THEO. 2nd October 2017, 06:45 PM

I'm failing to see where the 'huge changes' that were promised are...this series is exactly the same as the last one and the one before. The current 'bootcamp' stage is basically just the arena auditions that used to come after room auditions for 2/3 series a few years ago. The group performances from Saturday night were perhaps the worst ever in that stage. Bring back Gifty et al singing "Work from Home" *.*

I'm quite surprised they didn't put Sam Black through but his voice was really boring and he just looked awkward on stage. Very glad Georgina got through, her and Alisah the night before have been the best of the current stage for me.

I totally forgot about that laugh.gif I know they've taken the live show themes out but obviously that hasn't affected the early stages we've seen so far. But they do this every year, make it sound like we're getting a totally new show and there's very minimal change drama.gif

Posted by: HobDoblin 7th October 2017, 06:23 PM

Finally caught up, I feel like they've sent all the good guys home & kept the crap ones.

A few good singers left in the Girls category at least, and the chair challenge tonight is always so overly melodramatic it's arguably the most entertaining stage of the entire process.

Posted by: HobDoblin 7th October 2017, 07:30 PM

Oh so 6 chair is next week? Yeah they've really dragged this on way too long this year.

Another chap I liked out, they're literally gonna be left with that irritating skunkhead representing the boys aren't they.

Posted by: HobDoblin 7th October 2017, 07:45 PM

Really want to like this guy cos he's so against the grain compared to the typical contestant but his antics are always clearly trying to cover up the fact his voice is pretty crap.

Posted by: SeanGrey 7th October 2017, 07:46 PM

SO bored of the Liverpool guy - so, so bored. Didn’t think Clique were that great either and Daniel going was a shock as he’s one of the better ones from the boys drama.gif

Posted by: Liаm 7th October 2017, 07:47 PM

Jesus this is really dragging that it isn't the six chair challenge yet laugh.gif Like we've all said, this is just a lesser version of the six chair challenge so that doesn't help either.

Posted by: JosephGutierrez 7th October 2017, 07:52 PM

Six chairs starts tomorrow! Bootcamp is reaaaally dragging this year though drama.gif

Posted by: HobDoblin 7th October 2017, 07:53 PM

So will that mean it's rushed through in one episode or will be all next weekend too? 3 full episodes for 6 chair is really not necessary either.

Posted by: SeanGrey 7th October 2017, 07:53 PM

Thank **** for that - I’m already so bored of boot camp and we’re only 30 minutes in. Rak Su were such bores - what is going on?!?!

Posted by: HobDoblin 7th October 2017, 08:24 PM

I liked Talia (I think it was) but that's about it so far. Slavko is acceptable for the annual token novelty act.

Ugh "last one" they're so blatantly trying to get this girl to win rolleyes.gif

Posted by: jase. 7th October 2017, 08:29 PM

This years series has been appalling. If Grace doesn't win it by a landslide then something is seriously wrong.

Posted by: HobDoblin 7th October 2017, 08:32 PM

Don't find her that standout myself but I appreciate she's stuck to her own material so far (but the "song" wasn't any more special than all those boys' ones they sent home in a row last week).

"Roots" was sublime

Posted by: Hocus Pokus 7th October 2017, 08:34 PM

I put my money on Gracie this year, going all the way, that performance was just stunning, and vocally on point, and a tear jerker of a track that blew me away, gave me goosebumps listening to that.

Posted by: jase. 7th October 2017, 08:39 PM

Ladbrokes actually have Grace as favourite to win already laugh.gif

Their top 4

1. Grace Davies (5/2)
2. Sean & Conor Price (6/1)
3. Holly Tandy (7/1)
4. Rak-Su (8/1)

Quite a few acts in 5th @ 16/1.

Rak-Su sick2.gif sick2.gif

Posted by: HobDoblin 7th October 2017, 08:45 PM

Sean & Conor Price, are they those 2 guitar lads? Be amazed if they even reached the Live shows...

Posted by: jase. 7th October 2017, 08:47 PM

Shanaya @ 50/1 ohmy.gif Think it might be worth having a little bet on her.

Posted by: Hocus Pokus 7th October 2017, 08:50 PM

Actually the perfect 3 girls as the final 3 for me would be, Gracie, Holly and the girl from the duo with her mother, but I'm not sure if she is through, as she hasn't been shown for a while. I didn't spot her in the last segment of the show.

Posted by: Liаm 7th October 2017, 08:50 PM

Rak-Su and the brothers are TERRIBLE, so I hope they're wrong there drama.gif The latter especially, I just can't see anything in them but that acoustic bland style is all the rage. I feel like they're the sort that would be afforded pass after pass for being shit because of "potential" that they never actually reach. Rak-Su I find a bit like 5am, they prance about and make it a sort of "big" performance or fun to make up for the fact they can barely sing.

Grace is by MILES the best year, there's nobody even near her level. I thnk allowing original songs has been a good thing as it's allowed her straight away to push herself as the artist she'll actually be not just a copycat diva we've seen every year like say Alisah or Deanna from the girls.

Yeah she is definitely still in as she was in the room when they revealed the mentors. I like her, one of the best in that category.

4.8 million viewers last night, LORD laugh.gif I know that TV viewing figures are down in general but there's no defending that mess really, no surprise as such as the bootcamp episodes are so tedious like we've all said but sub 5m for a primetime TV show on a Saturday with such a history as XF is just awful. Hopefully it goes up for the 6 chair challenge but I still can't see it going above like 6m. It clashes with Strictly tonight so I'm not expecting that much of a boost however drama.gif

Posted by: jase. 8th October 2017, 05:12 PM

One of the worst series (if not the worst) in a long time so the ratings don't surprise me in the slightest tbh

Posted by: SeanGrey 8th October 2017, 05:23 PM

Has anyone else gone off Sharon this series? Shes come across really rude on several occasions (with the mother/daughter act, Nicole [iirc] saying she didn't believe her and the whole "I don't want to mentor the girls"). I don't know if I'm reading too much into it but I remember when shes been on the show before shes usually a laugh and isn't so cut throat like that or with contestants.

Posted by: HobDoblin 8th October 2017, 06:57 PM

Raelle is easily the best girl left in the comp, those other 2 are awful. Shame the Irish girl was thrown out she was a lot more interesting if not the best vocalist, poor song choice screwed her.

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 8th October 2017, 06:59 PM

DIdnt think Raelle was as good as her first audition! Holly is steadily becoming my favourite - that was BRILLIANT.

Posted by: HobDoblin 8th October 2017, 07:09 PM

Who the hell made it acceptable to sing Me Too on this show?

Posted by: HobDoblin 8th October 2017, 07:16 PM

Don't like Alisa at all, just so old fashioned & overly theatrical, one trick pony, yawn.

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 8th October 2017, 07:17 PM

She’s got a fab voice but feels very Sam Bailey. If it were me I’d have swapped out Scarlett or the girl who sang Me Too.

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 8th October 2017, 07:33 PM

Preferred Grace’s first two originals in all honesty - she was going to get a seat regardless what she sang as she’s easily Sharon’s favourite. I do find myself going off her more and more - last week it was her thinking of herself and she’s in a competition and tonight it’s all I’m so sorry I’m taking your seat? That comes with a competition but makes her seem pretty fake IMO.

Sharon’s decisions are mostly questionable so far - Scarlett is good but I’d have swapped her for Grace over Alisah.

Posted by: HobDoblin 8th October 2017, 07:46 PM

Even for X Factor standards this is farcical, brought back twice, why don't they just hand her the trophy now rolleyes.gif

I bet they'll get rid of Raelle too.

Posted by: Hocus Pokus 8th October 2017, 07:47 PM

What a mess, a sing off between 3 acts sleep.gif

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 8th October 2017, 07:55 PM

It’s annoying as she’s got a voice and made a fluff up at boot camp and still got through when many wouldn’t have got that. Scarlett’s diction in the sing off wasn’t brilliant nor was Alisah but FairPlay for changing it up and not playing safe.

Posted by: HobDoblin 8th October 2017, 07:57 PM

That was complete cringe from Alisa.

AT LEAST they made the right choice in sending that bag of hot air home tho!

Posted by: JosephGutierrez 8th October 2017, 07:57 PM

That was a MOMENT from Alisah !!!!

Posted by: Hocus Pokus 8th October 2017, 08:00 PM

Scarlett is better off in a musical to be honest, for some reason Realle would have been better off in a girl band, and Alisa not totally keen on her, hopefully the public will vote her off if she is in the lives.

Posted by: Sonia Fowler 8th October 2017, 08:05 PM

Grace is easily my favourite girl with Allisah second!!

Posted by: Liаm 8th October 2017, 08:46 PM

I'm so fed up of Alisah having a tantrum every time she isn't chosen laugh.gif Whats she gonna do when she's voted off if she gets to the live shows? It's just so tedious and she isn't even THAT good, she has a great voice but in a diva way we've seen countelss times on this show. And she is not a popstar at all, although I guess none o them are going to be stars with these ratings rotf.gif I just feel like we've seen her before, whereas the likes of Grace and Rai-Elle have an edge that makes them stand out a bit more than just a voice.

Has to be Grace, Rai-Elle and then either Holly or Georgina for me in the final 3 but I can see it being Grace, Ailsah and Georgina.

Posted by: JosephGutierrez 8th October 2017, 08:48 PM

Alisah wasn't the one having the tantrum this time, it was the entire crowd! kink.gif The atmosphere on TV only gives a glimpse as to what it was like but the crowd was shouting for aaaages to bring Alisah back, she got an insane reception!

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 8th October 2017, 09:01 PM

I think that's a fair point Liam's raised about Alisah - is she going to be able to cope with the stress of being voted off, if it were to happen?

I don't think I can remember a judge making so many decisions that most would disagree with?

Posted by: jase. 8th October 2017, 10:08 PM

The whole show is basically being built around Grace, let's be real here laugh.gif Not complaining because I adore her but I've never known such a clear-cut winner before.

Obviously anything can happen but I'll be very surprised if Grace doesn't just walk this.

Posted by: Liаm 8th October 2017, 10:23 PM

I still feel like that's too good to be true and the public won't take to her or something, but then again Louisa absolutely walked her series having been the only worthy one really so it can happen again!

She seems pretty much tailored to the show though, like she's likeable enough but not too OTT in your face personality because obviously that kills any female contestant on XF, she's like the nice normal girl from down the road. She's got enough sort of confidence issues "I never thought I was good enough" to make a bit of journey, but not too much so that she seems whiny or like that's all she's built on.

I don't think Grace would be a deserving winner at all. I liked her first original song but singing original music isn't what the show is about - I actually like hearing people's take on a classic/current track and it's not like it's difficult for contestants to 'make it their own' as the judges like to say. I want to hear covers from her in judges houses to prove me wrong because she does have a good voice.

I'm very glad that Scarlett didn't get through (although as it's the X Factor, I won't believe it until I see the girls in the airport in their judges' houses episode). Alisah's voice was insane on "All by Myself" and then when she came back I was really willing her to do something current to prove Simon in particular wrong and "Bang Bang" was an excellent choice!

I'm also still loving Georgina but her vocals weren't as strong as last week and Raelle(?) - her vocals are insane for a 16 year old!

Also I heard Simon mention that some of the girls should form a group: I'm predicting now (haven't read the spoiler thread to see if it's confirmed) that it'll be the Irish girl (from a previous group with her mother), Sky (who I'd never seen before), the Australian girl who sang "Me Too" and the blonde one that performed second to last. I'd also like to see Tahlia come back but I don't think she'd suit that particular group.

I never said I wanted to see karakoke singers? It is possible to make a song different to the original version without singing it note for note. You clearly haven't been watching this series so I'll just give you a couple of examples:

Anyway your profile has been on ignore for I don't know how long and I'm not going to both opening any further comments x

Posted by: RobBob 9th October 2017, 05:40 PM

I don't see Grace winning either, she's going to have the opposite of a "journey" from what I can see because once she gets to the live shows, she has to perform covers and I think it'll totally eliminate her niche and what makes her supposedly exciting. I haven't even thought the songs since the auditions were particularly good and I can't see her lasting the whole way.

Ever since their audition I've thought the two Irish lads would win, now I know Simon has the groups I'm even more confident. Marketing 'Ed Sheeran as a group' would be very easy and on trend.

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 9th October 2017, 05:59 PM

Grace struggled a lot with the first bit of bootcamp having to do someone else's song. I come across as I absolutely hate her or something but I don't, I just have other preferences in her category laugh.gif I'd love Holly to win but it'd be Louisa/Ella all over again with Syco having no idea really where to market her among current acts.

Thinking back about Alisah, can we just remind ourselves of this? It's pretty recycled with 4I doing it the following year as well.

Posted by: Liаm 9th October 2017, 10:10 PM

Omg yes Sean that's what annoyed me about Alisa's sing-off bit, legit she just did the exact same as 4I did but the judges act like every time she sings it's Whitney back from the grave :lol; She has a powerful voice but that's it, and that isn't all the show is about. it's about finding someone who could be a successful popstar, I know that the ratings kind of stop that happening but it is stil called The X Factor, it isn't just for her belting Whitney or Mariah every week.

Nah there's no themes now so she can just sing her originals te whole way and I think that rule change is pretty much tailored for her :lol; Now I think about it perhaps that will be what ends up putting the public off, like as much I love her I feel like it's being SO tailored for her in pretty much every way and I cn already imagine her bearing the brunt of the Facebook wine mum anger in the comments section.

Posted by: RobBob 10th October 2017, 12:19 PM

I just get an Ella feel that the wheels are gonna fall off for her if she can't mix it up well enough, too many originals and I think she runs the risk of not making a lasting impression, unless all of her songs are fab (and let's be real, none of them have come close to Roots yet).

Surely with Nicole on the panel the whole panel would be aware a girl group of six is unlikely to work????

Posted by: Liаm 14th October 2017, 08:21 PM

That girl and has real potential, first I've seen bar the Cutkelvins from these groups I can say that about! I agree there's probably too many though, Little Mix having 4 is the exact right number and I think it's why they work so well, not too many cooks spoiling the pot but they all bring something different to the table.

That cannot be it, what the actual f*** is Nicole on?! laugh.gif Horrendous category with karaoke singers at best, other than Slavko for novelty this category reads like what the overs typically would be in like 2006. Posted by: Liаm 17th October 2017, 02:50 AM

Yeah right laugh.gif It's not at all a new thing, an talent show does it. They still have to go through the same channels and audition but they scout a lot. Posted by: Liаm 18th October 2017, 01:33 PM

Alisah is so bland imo, she has a big voice sure, but that's not what the X Factor is about. Sharon is right, she just always sings ballads like some sort of overly polished clean cut Disney princess. Posted by: TheGhostPensmith 22nd October 2017, 11:22 AM

Caught the first 10 minutes of Judges Houses last night whilst finishing my dinner. Was easily the most cringeworthy 10 minutes of TV I've possibly seen all year. When Nicole proceeded to go all London Borough of Brixton on her arse by introducing Stormzy as 'killing it in the game' it was like the televisual equivalent of nails down a blackboard.

Not to mention that recruiting him as a guest judge is as contrived a stab at still being relevant as it's ever been for a show in this position. And (I don't know the contestants names) but that loud and common one in Nicole's category asking if the antelope they saw on safari was a reindeer made me weep for humanity. Jesus.

Voted for Georgina mainly but also gave a vote to Lemonade on the App .

Gave all my votes to Talia, might do Lemonade on my iPad though laugh.gif

Posted by: UltraReputation 22nd October 2017, 08:11 PM

4x Lemonade
1x Talia

Talia/Lemonade/Georgina/Leon are all by far my faves of each category in the wildcard selection!

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 22nd October 2017, 08:42 PM

Finally back on my laptop so can type a decent commentary on the events of the weekend! cheer.gif

Overs:

I can't believe Kevin and TracyLeanne are through over Talia and Berget drama.gif I do agree with her judgements on Slavko - definitely not strong enough and doesn't have the complete package of performer and vocalist. As far as guest judges go, Stormzy was such a desparate choice! drama.gif

My three based on judges house would have been:

1. Talia
2. Matt
3. Berget (as the rest were pretty snooze and shes vocally MUCH better and did power through which is majorly needed in contestants imo)

Girls:

Rai-Elle completely surprised me and based on her performane last night I'd definitely have put her through. That rap was pretty decent as well! I definitely did not rate the tear tantrums from Deanna or Grace, the latter of which just frustrated me with her crying fest drama.gif Georgina wasn't strong enough last night which was disappointing as well. I'm a little bit disappointed Alisah didn't get through but she was up against Grace and the tears/Sharon pausing the performance brigade for added drama! laugh.gif

My three based on judges house would have been:
1. Holly
2. Rai-Elle (easily the stand out of the category after the performance)
3. Alisah

Groups:

Am I missing the whole point of Cheryl being a guest judge in that shes been on the show and is 1/5 of one of the best girl groups to come out of the UK???? Why push the solo agenda in her VT and completely ignore why shes a co-judge for the GROUPS. Minor thing aside, I did not rate the Cutkelvin's and did feel as if Simon was pushing Cabello presence a bit by changing their song. CRINGE at New Girlband or whatever they are called saying they're like sisters - please, you've been together for half a round and hardly know eachother in comparison to groups like RakSu or Cutkelvins drama.gif I am finding the one with the red hat pretty annoying though! Jack and Joel were a total surprise for me and actualy really loved it ohmy.gif RakSu are a poor mans JLS, just more annoying. Their original sounded SO much like Not Letting Go by Tinie Tempah and Jess Glynne, hardly original imo. I really don't see the appeal of Sean and Connor either, butchering a current hit but a Pink hit too cry.gif

My three based on judges houses would have been:

1. Lemonade
2. Jack and Joel
3. The Cutkelvins

Boys:

Firstly the whole Sam Black thing is just ridiculous - you can't be that surprised to be bought back with that amount of camera people in ya living room laugh.gif Mika is another Stormzy in terms of guest judges. Aidan is a total snoozefest and haven't warmed to any of his performances.

My three based on judges houses would have been:

1. Leon (really liking him and with Lloyd is the standout, imo)
2. Spencer
3. Lloyd (very much like Alisah I could see him struggling further down the line)

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 22nd October 2017, 08:52 PM

QUOTE(Liаm @ Oct 22 2017, 08:32 PM) *
Lloyd is by far the best boy and I kinda find him cute af?? He's still nothing special though, he's too musical theatre/adult contemporary for me, like he SCREAMS cover album for mothers day.

Oh my gosh yes I've totally been digging that this episode! I loved his audition and hes got something likable about him and the charts definitely need a stronger male voice instead of Ed Sheeran or Olly Murs stuff!

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 22nd October 2017, 08:54 PM

0/3 of my boys through oops, no chance of winning from any of them laugh.gif

My wildcard votes:
2x Deanna
2x Aidan
1x Jack & Joel

Posted by: Calum 22nd October 2017, 09:07 PM

Lloyd is Alisah. Alisah is Lloyd. Both are far more suited to musical theatre, and it would be ridiculous if he got anywhere near winning.

Spencer's really the only boy that got through I'm liking. The groups have turned out to be very strong in the end, although personally I'd have put Jack and Joel through over Rak-Su.

Posted by: Liаm 22nd October 2017, 10:07 PM

I can't see anyone other than Talia being the overs wildcard, the girls will probably be Alisa and the boys Jack, I have no idea for the groups, I could feasibly see it being any of the 3.

WILDCARD PREDICTIONS

BOYS: Want - Leon, Think - Leon
GIRLS: Want - Georgina, Think - Alisha
OVERS: Want - Talia, Think - Slavko
GROUPS: Want - Lemonade, Think - Lemonade

WINNER PREDICTION (I know it's early but whatever laugh.gif)

Sean and Connor, basically echoing what Liam said -

QUOTE(Liаm @ Oct 22 2017, 07:29 PM) *
I've got a horrible feeling Sean and Connor Price could win drama.gif I want to say Rai-Elle will be the one who'll emerge in the lives and snatch from Grace but they're white, mediocre and young singing bland Ed Sheeran esque songs.

They'll also get the FacebookMum vote.

I thought Grace had it in the bag but if she keeps on with the tears, it's gonna get real annoying real quickly mellow.gif

Posted by: jase. 22nd October 2017, 10:31 PM

My wildcard votes -

2x Leon
1x Lemonade
1x Georgina
1x Talia

Posted by: Liаm 22nd October 2017, 10:45 PM

Matt is my other prediction for Britain getting it terribly wrong and voting with what's in their pants rather than what's in their head laugh.gif Hopefully that was just a hiccup for Grace and now she knows she is in the lives she can give it hr all but I feel like she's one of those who'll cry and go OTT when she has the one inevitable "that was good but not as good as your other performances" moments in week 3 or sth drama.gif

Posted by: Liаm 23rd October 2017, 01:05 AM

The official website has revealed that there is no sing off this series ohmy.gif I'm kind of glad because I was sick of the amount of faux tension you got just for there to be deadlock most weeks, and times when they didn't seem to care about the singoff like Four Of Diamonds surviving numerous times despite always being shite, but I guess it makes sense as there isn't a dedicated results show so they'll probably get it done quicker each week. If they still had the separate Sunday show, I think it would be really empty. It's gonna feel so different as a show though, I quite like the event of having a whole results show on the Sunday.

The official website says that two categories will perform each night, and th results will be based solely on the public vote , but the eliminees "may be either the act with the lowest number of votes across both categories that performed or the act with the lowest number of votes from each category that performed". I hope this means that it's just the lowest two regardless, so say the bottom 2 of the vote was Kevin and Tracey-Leanne, they'd both go rather than say Kevin being bottom and Lloyd 3rd bottom but Lloyd goes because Tracey is also an over. If they mean it chops and changes that feels like a fix, I think the fairest way is just the two with the lowest votes are eliminated regardless otherwise it undermines the votes really. If they pair overs and girls though Nicole might be out of acts all too soon laugh.gif

Additionally there will also be a new vote for the best performer of the weekend (presumably a side thing on the app), which will incur a prize for the winner.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 23rd October 2017, 08:01 AM

Matt and the two kids should really be the first two out. Oh and Spencer.

Posted by: THEO. 23rd October 2017, 01:05 PM

What a terrible set of live finalists. Possibly the worst ever?

Posted by: jase. 23rd October 2017, 01:06 PM

Yup, easily the worst

Rak-Su have got to be the most obnoxious things to ever grace reality TV, even worse than Jedward. I just can't.

Posted by: commonsense 24th October 2017, 08:57 AM

Think the Filipino lass, Alisha will get it in the girls but I'd prefer Georgina.

Posted by: BiLLYx 24th October 2017, 12:27 PM

I don't think it's the worst lineup by a long mile. Rai-Elle,Holly,Grace,Lloyd, Spencer, Kevin and Matt may not be everyones cup of tea but theyre definitely talented, and there's no obvious novelty act which is good.

Series 10 and 4 were far worse.

Posted by: Liаm 26th October 2017, 01:30 PM

There IS going to be a sing off this year, but it's of the TOP 2, and the judges decide who wins a prize... (that's the prize vote I mentioned) Wtf is the point, that kinda gives away who'll win.

Also yeah this isn't quite the absolute worst, the girls catgory is perfect and I like Cutkelvins and I suppose Lloyd, plus the wildcards will likely boost the line-up a bit more. 2007 only really had Alisha and Niki who I liked, then 2013 only really had Hannah, Tamera and I guess Sam. 2012 wasn't great either, I stopped watching after Ella went because the top 5 was HORRENDOUS, but the actual line up of the final wasn't THAT bad, we had her, Lucy, Jade, Melanie, Kye and Carolynne who were quite good, the wrong people just went too early.

Posted by: RobBob 26th October 2017, 01:33 PM

Yeah, this series gives me quite 2012 vibes really.

Posted by: jessie j 26th October 2017, 01:52 PM

I really want to love these finals as much as I did with last years but I've a feeling I'll hate them. Kinda annoyed at the sing off being axed tbh, I quite liked the tension of the deadlocks.

really hope that isn't true.

never before has the show felt like it's gone as downhill as it has this season.

Posted by: RobBob 26th October 2017, 02:54 PM

They're throwing way too much change at this to try and keep things exciting for viewing figures but it's coming across really poorly imo.

Posted by: Liаm 26th October 2017, 03:17 PM

It's seeming like a totally different show, I think part of my problem with The Voice and a reason I never enjoy it as much is that they rush through it a bit too much, you get one from each "team" going a week and it kind of ruins the chance for a lot of them to have a proper journey and grow, because we lose 4 a week. I know this is only 2 a week, but with only 6 weeks of live shows it takes away one of my favourite parts, watching them have a journey and grow and emerge as contenders. The reason why Little Mix are my fave contestants ever are because it was so amazing to watch them grow from a seemingly hopeless almost cert for first boot to all but winning it by like week 7, and I felt similarly with Saara's trajectory last year. This sort of series wasn't too bad in 2015 when it was shorter, perhaps selfishly just because I really wanted Louisa to win so I didn't mind it was obvious with her, but this year I feel there is Rai-Elle in particular who could be a Saara/Little Mix but won't get the time to grow and flourish.

Making the sing-off the top 2 is ridiculous too, the sing-off being the elimination was one of the things that set it apart fro Idol in the first place, along with the categories and mentoring, it made for much more exciting eliminations and gave the judges a bit more of a role (they don't always get it right ofc but that's part of the fun).

Posted by: RobBob 26th October 2017, 03:32 PM

It's like they've been watching a bit too much All Stars 2, I'm surprised they haven't got the contestants eliminating one another.

I'd low key be here for that. The drama of it all would be amazing.

Posted by: Liаm 26th October 2017, 04:54 PM

Omg they might as well just go the full hog lmao, imagine someone really shit like when Janet, Eoghan or Christopher topped the vote for weeks winning and just ousting the favourites laugh.gif

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 26th October 2017, 05:20 PM

Oh good lord, 2012 was just diabolical when Ella didn't make the final drama.gif

I think this seasons "shock exits" (if they were to exit ofc) would be Grace, The Cutkelvin's and Rak-Su, they definitely seem to have quite a buzz on social media.

Posted by: Martyn 26th October 2017, 08:06 PM

I am so confused as to how the eliminations work.

I think they are going to manipulate it as much as possible as it is vaguely said.

It can either be the bottom act from each category on the night (i.e bottom group and bottom girl) and also as the bottom act or two overall (so could be two groups). If they did it the first way and the result on the night was 1-4 highest votes girls and 5-8 groups, we could end up losing 4th and 8th place on the night.

And revealing who the top 2 are each night is an interesting choice. I don't think I like it.

As long as the Cutkelvins win I don’t mind rolleyes.gif

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 27th October 2017, 09:49 AM

FAR too much photoshop going on with their promo stills. Grace looks completely different, Matt (*.*) also looks too clean cut and Lloyd looks like a totally different person! Need I mention Tracy and Holly?!

Posted by: Houdini 27th October 2017, 01:10 PM

So half of the acts are going to perform tomorrow and then the 2nd half are performing on Sunday? and is someone going to be eliminated tomorrow and then again on Sunday?

Posted by: BrookeOlivia 27th October 2017, 01:16 PM

I have read somewhere that up to 4 acts are getting sent home this weekend, 16 acts and only 6 live show weekends. So could well be one of each going this weekend which makes no sense of bringing wildcards back if that is the case.

So I think its 2 gone Saturday and 2 gone Sunday

Forget where I read it tellymix I think. But we will see when it is confirmed

Posted by: Liаm 27th October 2017, 01:17 PM

Tracey looks much better after her makeover, tbh the difference feels negligible for a lot of them and it's more photoshop than actual makeover I agree laugh.gif

Gawwd at Rae Elle gettin through when she is utter shit.

Her embarrassing dance moves and awful screeching make her look like a novelty act. Thought they would kick her out from the first awkward cheesy Cher Lloyd wannabe audition!!!

Oh have they changed that plan already? rolleyes.gif With 16 acts and only 6 weekends of live shows though one week is going to need to lose around 3 or 4 so would make sense doing it early on, We will see what they confirm this weekend unsure.gif

Abit pee'd off got to wait until Sunday to see the girls and boys blink.gif Not fussed on the overs or groups well I like one group that is about it unsure.gif

Christ it's boys and overs tomorrow apparently because of SImon Cowell having a fall and being in hospital laugh.gif I was gonna say oh god the two worst but I think whilst I don't love any of the boys, at least they don't have Sean & Connor price.

If you want easy money, just put money on Tracy Leanne to be the first one eliminated this weekend. angel.gif
Still can't forgive Nicole for choosing her. drama.gif If she had chosen Talia over her, Slavko could have had a chance as wildcard. sad.gif

It's actually boys and girls tomorrow, so they've swapped the shows round due to Simon's accident as he won't be on the show.

It's the sing-off gone not the deadlock lmao it's just the lowest votes that get voted off

Sam Black and Spencer to go tomorrow do we reckon?

Posted by: Ryan. 28th October 2017, 12:34 PM

I think we're losing one tonight and one tomorrow, I predict Sam and Kevin I think! Spencer (unfortunately) and TracyLeanne are probably next closest to danger.

Posted by: Poked Pumpkin🎃 28th October 2017, 12:37 PM

Unless it's one from each categoelry that goes? In that case, fortunately Ra Elle and Spencer.

Posted by: SeanmanjiGrey 28th October 2017, 12:40 PM

Rai-Elle wouldn’t go unless she fluffed the performance! She’s got the likeability and originality to go beyond the first elimination!

Posted by: Poked Pumpkin🎃 28th October 2017, 12:42 PM

I don't think so.

She is really bad.

If it's one from each category, prepare to see her go.

Posted by: Ryan. 28th October 2017, 12:43 PM

It's difficult to do this considering the lack of concrete information about the format, but here's my rough 1-16 prediction based on the little we know:

01. Grace Davies
02. Rak-su
03. Matt Linnen
04. Holly Tandy
05. The Cutkelvins
06. (Girls wildcard)
07. (Overs wildcard)
08. Sean and Conor Price
09. Lloyd Macey
10. Rai-Elle Williams
11. (Boys wildcard)
12. Spencer Sutherland
13. (Groups wildcard)
14. Tracyleanne Jefford
15. Kevin Davy White
16. Sam Black

Something like that, give or take a couple of positions depending on which categories are actually eligible to be eliminated at certain positions. Definitely, think the whole big Plan A for this series is for Grace to release Roots as her winner's single following by a very quick full studio album with all of her original songs - perhaps even as quickly as mid-December. I think the shorter live shows will allow them to manage to achieve a Louisa Johnson-esque domination.

Posted by: Poked Pumpkin🎃 28th October 2017, 02:07 PM

I love Grace, but I hope she sings a few covers like on YT. The part where the Bellam Bellas sing an original is an absolute MOMENT and a journey. Hopefully Grace can do the same - some covers, then some originals at the end, bigger and better than ever, taking on board the um 'judging' from musical masterminds like Nicole Jealousinger.

Posted by: Liаm 28th October 2017, 02:18 PM

Yeah that's what irks me a bit, she does great covers on YT so it's not lie she struggles with it. Original songs are a step in the right direction, because they always go on about "showing what kind of artist you are" and nothing shows that better than original songs. But if she's doing them EVERY week then she's going to come across as nearly as big a one trick pony as Alisah Carey-Houston drama.gif

Posted by: Jason 28th October 2017, 04:44 PM

TellyMix votes without Wildcards:

Grace Davies 20.41% (296 votes)
The CutKelvins 16.48% (239 votes)
Holly Tandy 14.07% (204 votes)
Sean and Conor Price 10.97% (159 votes)
Rai-Elle Williams 10% (145 votes)
Rak-Su 9.86% (143 votes)
Spencer Sutherland 5.52% (80 votes)
Matt Linnen 3.24% (47 votes)
Sam Black 2.48% (36 votes)
Lloyd Macey 2.41% (35 votes)
TraceyLeanne Jefford 2.34% (34 votes)
Kevin Davy White 2.21% (32 votes)

Total Votes: 1,450

So, Grace is not a clear winner (like almost everyone here thinks) because she wins 'only' 20% of votes in this poll. tongue.gif
Sam and Lloyd will have to find the way to escape the elimination tonight and Kevin & Tracey will fight to stay in the competition tomorrow. w00t.gif
