WELL THEN. I hadn’t suspected Gill being involved at all but there ya go. One more to find then. I wasn’t overly impressed with the finale; if anything the interview scenes were a little too drawn out and it just lacked in the intensity we’ve come to know and love.

ugh i’m GUTTED that Lisa McQueen’s storyline came to.... nothing. The potential for such an interesting character who suddenly became an afternote and one that suddenly forgets her actions from the rest of the series? I wanted to know more about her background.
A nice balance there in giving us the reveal of another major corrupt officer but, expectedly still leaving it open for the next series. Not sure how I feel about the H twist, I wasn’t completely banking on it being just one person but to have Cotton be a part of that (ie actually being one of the main guys, rather than just the caddy) yet he reveals the information, not sure about that potential retcon? Also, really interested in why didn’t they come to get Gill? Despite it being a team, the last remaining H surely is surely the biggest top dog out of the 4. Lots of thoughts, especially what it all means for the next series! |

Never thought I'd find LOD to be predictable...we knew Ted wasn't going to be H and we all knew Gill was shady as f***...so certainly no surprise there!

I loved that. I had a feeling we weren’t going to get the full story and that with them already being recommissioned for 6 this was act 1 of a 2 act crescendo..
All very tense and I’d been saying to me mam that Gill was a wrong un. Clocked the ginge a mile off which is a first for me spotting something from the v first clue. Whole tranche of people I do not trust, season 6 cannot come soon enough |

I still think it could be Kate who is the 4th officer. Or it could be Hastings, definitely some deliberate ambiguity there... |

I did really enjoy it, great finale. It was sort of predictable (Ted getting off, Ryan joining the police, Gill being dodgy) but not sure what else it could've done, there was always going to be another series so was never going to be completely tied up. The ending sequences were great and it leaves it in a good position for series 6. Kate and Steve have been underused all series, so pleased they got to save the boss.

I enjoyed a lot of the interrogations in that episode. They were so well acted.
But overall, I was left a bit underwhelmed. You could see that Gill was dodgy a mile off, so it came as no surprise. I also don't like Lisa's ending, though it hopefully is only so she's still in play for the next series, to work with the young lad who's now on the inside. But it still made no sense - she gave them absolutely nothing, so how did she earn her deal? She should have been in prison. I almost felt like they'd hastily rewritten the ending, as it seemed messy and gave us nothing at all. Like Tina - how exactly was she planning to get out of there after stabbing Gill? She was the sole officer in charge of her at that point. She couldn't walk out without her. That just seemed like sloppy writing, for the sake of putting a quick action scene in there. I was hoping for more. This post has been edited by PaulM1983: 7th May 2019, 01:22 PM |

I watched season 1 and 2 and found them cute but not overly exciting and amazing. HOWEVER, after S03E03 things got CRAZY and that season finale was absolutely incredible. What a show.

I’m interested in watching the first two of this. Looks like BBC are repeating series 1 this week though.
I properly started in S4 I think when Thandie Newton was a central character. |

How can you only start in series 4, you need to watch it all to follow the bigger storyline?!

Omg yeah it will hardly make any sense if you start anywhere but season 1 and work your way through.

How can you only start in series 4, you need to watch it all to follow the bigger storyline?! Tbh I think it’s a show what doesn’t directly follow straight on from the last one from season to season but the episodes within each series follow on if that makes sense. That’s just how I’ve found it to be anyways. Like part of s1 is covered in s5 but it’s not because the cast changes so much in the show I found I could actually keep up with the show starting when I did but going back has been interesting |
