BJSC 120: Tiffany Young - Magnetic Moon Taming a wild heart Taking a free spirit Running on empty Chasing the heat of the night Up on the roof Dancing for you Under a million stars Magnetic moon Pulls me to you With your ocean arms We managed to host BJSC 119 successfully without any huge faults, yay ~
While we did not set the scoreboard on fire with NCT U, we did have lots of fun hosting the semis and the final. Now, for the last contest of the year we are sending Tiffany Young, known from Girls' Generation, with her song "Magnetic Moon". |

Christmas III: Eva Weel Skram - Selmas Sang Regndråper faller og faller tar fargene bort Du er uendelig liten men håpet er stort Eg høyrer til deg og sånn vil det alltid bli Eg drøymer at snart er du her og legg handa di trygt i mi Result: 18/28 (25 points) *~~~~~~~* BJSC 121: Nuages - Dreams If you awaken from this illusion And you understand that black implies white Self implies other, life implies death You can feel yourself Not as a stranger in the world Not as something here on probation Not as something that has arrived here by fluke But you can begin to feel your own existence as absolutely fundamental This is probably going to be a bit to monotonous for someone, but I just find this so relaxing? There is something very soothing about this - and this type of genre is rarely my thing. Anyway, this has been sitting on my to-send list for far too long, and starting the new year with "Dreams" feels right. Hope some of you enjoy the (re)discovery!

This is wonderful. I had already come across this in 2018 whilst looking for potentials but never really decided to send it. Hope this does very well!

Ohh what a coincidence, I also stumbled over this in 2018. I hope this does well too, but one does never really know what to expect from this contest |

BJSC 122: Susanne Sundfør - When The Lord Let me go back To when I was young Here I was born And here I will die lonesome Let there be light And let there be love Hear the bells Ring our song Wake me Wake me up my darling When the Lord has descended on us All the worries That you carried with you They are lost in a warm embrace Timelessness An ethereal beauty.

BJSC 124: Sa Dingding - Upwards To The Moon Left hand upwards to the moon Right hand on a red thread To give you and me Our predestined love In the moonlight You and I Left hand becomes feathers Right hand turns into scales Some lifetimes are in the clouds Some lifetimes are in the forest Willing to turn into a grain of dust And follow you To emerge in the mortal realm Left hand picks you up Right hand lets you go When I clasp my hands You're back in my heart Moving on from Vietnam, Lotunia is this time sending Chinese artist Sa Dingding. Taken from the soundtrack of Ashes of Love, we present you "Upwards To The Moon".

Veto: Sunmi - Pporappippam I wonder if this is a dream But then I think of you And that night was real I’m sure of it Purple night I got vetoed. The fact that i could have potentially sent three popjustice winners in a row amuses me - I guess my taste might somewhat align with theirs

Worldvision V: Marcela Morelo - Luna Bonita Dime luna bonita porque siento tanto miedo Dime luna bonita que inocente es este juego Quiero mirar sus ojos toda la noche entera Y despertar sin prisa, sin soledad, sin pena Cuéntame luna bonita tú que sabes de pasión Si se enciende la llama en mi, la llama del amor Result: 03/38 (204 Points) Thrilled with third for Marcela Morelo! thanks for all the points. I have a few other songs by her that I like, so she might make an appearance in the main contest at some point in the future. ~~~ BJSC 126: Masaru Yokoyama - Uso To Honto "What did you have in your heart?" "I had you" So, the confirmation period has been a little bit of a ride. Our first and second choice had already been vetoed. Which brought us to Masaru Yokoyama's "Uso To Honto" ("Lie & Truth"). This violin-piano piece is a little bit under 3 minutes, and has been taken from the anime Your Lie In April, a story that follows two young musicians. Quite honestly I think this is one of my three favorites this year that I have sent to the main conest, and it will probably remain so by the end of the year. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the discovery! ! lmao it didn't even occur to me that this was a third consecutive PJSC winner that you confirmed haha (the last contest feels like too long ago) In hindsight i'm kinda glad i got blocked by that veto. Atleast i have a candidate for the anniversary thing, if I stay that long that is |

BJSC 127: Sulli - Dorothy It didn't mean anything I held onto hope At the edge of my imagination Buried in the world The air is empty Sulli (Choi Jinri), former member of the group f(x). Released what was for me one of the best EP’s last year. Somehow “Dorothy” became one of my most played songs that year, and I think the reason for that is that the song brought out a sense of peace and serenity that I sorely needed at the time. I won't go into much detail about that here, but let's just say that I was at a bad place mentally duo to certain things that happened in my real life. While her death was sad, and it left many people in grief (and it still hurts), I can't help but hope that she has found eternal peace. Wherever she is, I hope she is happy. Please, take a listen and enjoy.

This is a beautiful song, one of the few strong highlights that I'm sad I can't support from the other semi - I'd not heard any of her solo work before, tragic that we won't hear any more music from her when this song shows such clear potential for her to have been one of the most standout names in the genre. </3
