Knowing how this works, it will probably be pushed back to late Summer at the earliest. I doubt we will have a new single in 4 months.

I agree, it just seems like an early release date, considering The Singles Collection has just been released.

I really hope she releases in Summer this time round, the main reason she hasn't been getting a #01 with any of her lead singles is because she's been releasing on some of the most competitive weeks!

Excited for it though, I hope she makes some progression with it. I'd love to hear more stuff like 'Phonography', 'Quicksand', 'Amnesia' and 'Unusual You' wub.gif.

I look at it like this, even if it's true... We won't have any new Britney music for atleast 4-5 months.

But I think it will end up being atleast 6-8 months.

New York Post confirms new Britney album in May 2010!

We all know Christmas is the best time to release a "Best of" CD because Nanas everywhere love an impulse purchase at the Target registers. So in other words, I have no hate directed at Britney for dropping her "Singles" album with only one new track on it.

I guess the reason for this little Brit-riff is that it looks like she is getting ready to drop all new material this spring. According to her record label Jive (via) the singer is eyeing a May release for her seventh studio album, which includes collaborations with Fernando Garibay (Pussycat Dolls "Bottle Pop" and Lady GaGa's "Dance in the Dark"), David Guetta, Danja (Madonna's "4-Minutes"), Sean Garrett (Beyoncé's "Diva" and "Ring the Alarm") and the brilliant Max Martin, who has penned some of her biggest hits ever!

Sidenote: Congrats are in order to Britney for receiving two Virgin Media Award nominations, one for Best Solo Female 2009

if this ends up beaing true, I think she's just trying to get OUT of the contract with Jive. as this will be her 3rd studio album agter In The Zone, when she signed the contract.

I would love a summer Britney album but we all know when that ideal time is for Brit's albums to be released.

Britney Records Tracks For The New Album - Album May Be Titled "B-Girl"
QUOTE
According to Radar Online, Britney recorded a new song called "B-Girl" for her new album recently at Jive in L.A. "B-Girl" is rumoured to be the album title as well. Britster also recorded "Termomether", "Dirty Girl" and "Radio Star".
Britney is currently in the process of recording "Work Hard" which is another 90's inspired song that may be used on the new album.

Britney is working on a 90's themed album for a 2010 release and the new album is going to be along the same lines as to what her album In the Zone was like and has a Blackout album twist.

I really like the sound of that. "B-Girl" seems like a great title, so I wouldn't be dissapointed if that's true.

If it's meant to sound like In The Zone and Blackout, that would be GREAT. Blackout is her best album easily.
