Hello
1. Justin Bieber Sorry [2-2-1] Superb #1! Sorry is fantastic. Probably his best song yet mind you this whole era has been perfect aside from Love Yourself which I really don't get as much as I've been trying. 4. The Chainsmokers feat. Rozes Roses [17-13-4] 5. Ariana Grande Focus [8-1-5] 6. Disclosure feat. Lorde Magnets [16-6] 9. Twenty One Pilots Stressed Out [9-9-9] 10. Andy Grammer Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah) [25-4-10] 11. Get James Blegh and like 50% of the country out and that would be a perfect list.

Jordaaaaaaaan!
1. Justin Bieber Sorry [2-2-1] Oh yes, I'm happy with this at Number 1, cos it's an absolute choon, though I'm also hoping Love Yourself does well for you soon! That wasn't meant to rhyme btw but I'm pleased it does... I'm a poet, and you know it 3. Jason Derulo Get Ugly Wow, that's a big new entry! I find the song a bit average if I'm honest, and I'm miffed that it's doing so much better than the far superior 'Cheyenne' - sometimes people just have no taste 6. Disclosure feat. Lorde Magnets [16-6] 11. Ellie Goulding On My Mind [11-3-6-11] 12. Adele Hello [1-3-12] 13. One Direction Perfect [11-7-13] Surprised to see no sign of History... how is their latest era shaping up in the US btw? 14. Adele When We Were Young [30-14] Pleased to see this shooting up, great if obvious choice of second single from her! 15. Snakehips feat. Tinashe & Chance The Rapper All My Friends 17. James Bay Let It Go [10-17] 18. Coldplay Adventure Of A Lifetime [27-5-18] 22. Sia Alive [20-15-22] Just ordered my copy of the CD, first CD I've bought for a while in fact 23. David Guetta feat. Sia & Fetty Wap Bang My Head I'm so over this. I actually found I got bored of it very quickly. 25. Flo Rida My House [28-25] Nice enough song, I wouldn't have minded it becoming a hit. 26. Rachel Platten Stand By You [24-25-26] 27. Florence + The Machine Queen Of Peace [23-x-27] 28. Tame Impala Let It Happen YESSS, such a tune! 29. Foals Mountain At My Gates Another great new entry! 31. Robin Schulz feat. Francesco Yates Sugar 35. Charlie Puth One Call Away [34-35] Weird how this is suddenly taking off in the UK after flopping for so long. Great stuff! |

Hello Riser
1. Justin Bieber Sorry [2-2-1] 3. Jason Derulo Get Ugly I really don't like this, I've always been a fan of his pop bangers but this is just messy, up there with his worst stuff like Wiggle for me, just doesn't sound good on the ears imo 4. The Chainsmokers feat. Rozes Roses [17-13-4] I love the production on this, each drop has something a bit different and it keeps everything interesting and I think the vocals add a lot too, can't believe this is the same people that did Selfie. 5. Ariana Grande Focus [8-1-5] 6. Disclosure feat. Lorde Magnets [16-6] 7. Tinashe feat. Chris Brown Player [31-22-7] 9. Twenty One Pilots Stressed Out [9-9-9] This band weren't even on my radar before this but I really like this, I love all the falsetto bits and the lyrics are really interesting too, I can see why this has blown up in the US. 11. Ellie Goulding On My Mind [11-3-6-11] 12. Adele Hello [1-3-12] 13. One Direction Perfect [11-7-13] 15. Snakehips feat. Tinashe & Chance The Rapper All My Friends 17. James Bay Let It Go [10-17] 18. Coldplay Adventure Of A Lifetime [27-5-18] 21. DNCE Cake By The Ocean [26-21] 22. Sia Alive [20-15-22] 23. David Guetta feat. Sia & Fetty Wap Bang My Head 25. Flo Rida My House [28-25] So weird that this is big in the US at the moment but has made almost no impact here when his last few singles have all been top 10, this is one of my faves though actually, has one of those choruses that just refuse to get out of your head. 26. Rachel Platten Stand By You [24-25-26] 27. Florence + The Machine Queen Of Peace [23-x-27] 28. Tame Impala Let It Happen 29. Foals Mountain At My Gates 30. Dierks Bentley Somewhere On A Beach 31. Robin Schulz feat. Francesco Yates Sugar 34. Hailee Steinfeld Love Myself [1-1-6-19-34] 35. Charlie Puth One Call Away [34-35] 38. Shawn Mendes feat. Camila Cabello I Know What You Did Last Summer I was worried at the lack of hit-sounding tracks on the album and was expecting him to be a one hit wonder after Stitches so this came out at the best time possible I think, another very catchy chorus and I like the vocals from both singers too, hope it keeps climbing stateside and grows into another hit for him over here. 39. MNEK & Zara Larsson Never Forget You [32-12-39] 40. Thomas Rhett Die A Happy Man [29-40] |

Liking Stressed Out and My House too Focus Get James Blegh and like 50% of the country out and that would be a perfect list. I'm not inclined to do any of that, sorry Jordaaaaaaaan! Mango! 1. Charlie Puth One Call Away [34-35] Weird how this is suddenly taking off in the UK after flopping for so long. Great stuff! 1. Unfortunately I'm anticipating Justin to be a one-hit wonder on my chart for the time being! 3. I've gotta disagree, 'Cheyenne' doesn't stand out for me at all although it certainly was hit-worthy. This is potentially my new favorite of his 13. Amazingly well! They've always had very front-loaded singles in the US but Drag Me Down and Perfect have had fantastic airplay and held up exceptionally well for them! History is just now starting to take off, but so far from hearing it on Radio 1 I'm not keen on it 14. Yes, I hope I can send it even higher after some sure-to-be-flawless Grammy and BRIT performances! 22. I'm a bit behind, just purchased 1000 Forms of Fear over Christmas (and just a download, not a CD) But I'm pleased she's having a good first week! 35. Probably because it's a proper hit in the US now. I think we'll see that happen more often now where songs will get a second chance if they manage to catch on in the States...although I guess that's not new, back then it would just get re-released Thank you for commenting as always! Hello Riser Hi Josh!1. Justin Bieber Sorry [2-2-1] 3. MNEK & Zara Larsson Never Forget You [32-12-39] 40. Thomas Rhett Die A Happy Man [29-40] 3. Well I feel pretty much the exact opposite 4. I can't either! Fantastic stuff. 9. They've really perfected their sound and it's such a standout hit here, hopefully it catches on elsewhere! 25. It is weird but the song has had incredible promo and exposure here. And you're right, it's an earworm but not an obvious one! 38. I do too, I would've preferred another single off the album but if this ensures a second hit I'll be satisfied. Thanks for commenting! |

Hey John cheers! john Fun fact, the Brothers Osborne lead singer is married to Lucie Silvas! (I assume you're familiar with her) I agree, he has a fantastic voice. Indeed Best Coast would be great for UP except they've had top 100 albums and been in BJSC so I reckon they're ineligible Can't say I'm holding out any hope for Thomas Rhett to hit it big in the UK Getting Radio 2 airplay was a very nice surprise though, awesome! Thanks very much and yes, keep me guessing, I prefer it that way |

() Nah I'm quite partial to 'Sorry' in fairness, just not a raging Belieber like yourself . That's some chart run so far - has there been anything else that's spent three months in the top two for you? Just checked out 'Roses' for the first time (and was sad to see it has overtaken Outkast's opus as the first result for the word on YouTube ) and it's v swag v chill v nice (ooh and 'Stressed Out' just came up on autoplay <3 (which I don't want to see move from #9 Beautiful climb for 'When We Were Young' . I'm really looking forward to the Grammys performance and to see how high the song can go on the Hot 100 in the aftermath, considering the album's already on eight million(!). What an exciting campaign to follow - we are not worthy etc. Interesting to see you liking DNCE as I haven't listened to any of their stuff yet but have seen good reviews and remember really loving a Joe Jonas song once lol. Nice that he's getting some commercial success now, if only for sibling rivalry's sake . (I'm thinking the title could be a clue as to where Jameela's been hiding all this time too. ) Good to see Dierks putting new music out/finally moving on from 'Riser'! How's the new material comparing to his past stuff? There are lots of lovely music songs in the January edition of your music song chart, which is something to be expected as it is not unlike the conclusion reached after reading most monthly editions of your music chart. |

Animals by Maroon 5 went 1-1-2! And Stitches went 1-2-4-2! Lol this Roses probably won't ever compare to Outkast's <3 Yes okay will watch that blank space baby ~ It hurts to read that Adele comment now I can't deal with her wasting such an opporunity and WWWY missing the top 20 :\ Wouldn't Jameela be hiding in cake by the sea? It's VERY CATCHY. I feel bad for Kevin Jonas not sharing in the solo success but two Jonases are more than enough tbh Nu Dierks is good, not instant but a fast grower I guess He posted a phone number on Facebook and I got to leave him a voicemail so when will your faves? Thank you for your thoughtful assessment, a similar outcome to previous assessments which was also expected. |
