Both of these are pop perfection so I'd be happy with either! But I think 'Thriller' slightly edges it for me.

Thriller is my favourite. Billie Jean is a tiny bit overrated imo where as you simply cannot beat strutting along to Thriller!

Always found Thriller quite overrated and without the Hallowe'en links I would never play it.

Billie Jean is in another league together. Not among my absolute faves of his but unquestionably HIS signature song.

'Thriller' is my fav out of these two but neither song would be in my own personal top 2.

'Dirty Diana' is my favourite MJ song. As a kid I was really averse to his music for some reason but I remember having a cassette with that song on it and I kept rewinding it to play it loads of times in a row haha! So I decided to check out the whole Bad album and it went from there. 'Man in the Mirror' would probably complete my top 2 but don't quote me on that cos it might change kink.gif These polls have reminded me just how much I actually like his songs!

Very tough but I'm going with Billie Jean as it just gets everything right in terms of lyrics, visuals, performance and is rightfully his signature song and sounds so fresh even today, whereas Thriller is at its best with the video (not that it's not lots of fun anyway and I do play it every Halloween!)

Billie Jean is his finest moment. The sultry rhythm, the lyrics, his emotional vocal and that video when it came out was spine-tingling. Perfection. AND the song was all his, his first classic song since his only previous self-penned classic song, Don't Stop Till You Get Enough.
