These are great! Solid selection of songs for the year, much better than official top 40.

31 926 Camila Cabello - Never Be The Same (...-10-7-4-9-8-8-9-10-12-20-20-20-25-21-40-67) [16 wks]
32 907 Bruno Mars feat. Cardi B - Finesse (32-5-5-7-7-8-8-10-17-17-26-22-31-32-38-44-xx) [15 wks]
33 903 Jax Jones feat. Ina Wroldsen - Breathe (…-2-2-2-2-2-5-7-7-13-12-19-22-26-41-75) [15 wks]
34 883 Troye Sivan - My My My! (62-14-6-4-4-5-6-9-10-10-12-11-19-36-49-xx) [14 wks]
35 879 Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - Shallow (29-14-5-6-2-2-2-3-7-9-11-8-11-...) [13 wks]

Lady Gaga narrowly missed out on what would've been her 13th Multichart #1, but Shallow had a strong run regardless to make the top 35. Troye's sophomore era had a strong start here with My My My reaching #4, a peak he matched later in the year with Charli XCX on 1999. Jax Jones played bridesmaid to Anywhere for 3 weeks (one was in 2017) and IDGAF for the next 3 - tough luck there! Finesse matches its UK chart peak here and showed a steadier chart run on the Multichart than it did officially. Camila also did well with Never Be The Same *insert obligatory comment that She Loves Control would've smashed too had it been a single* sleep.gif

26 993 Jess Glynne - I'll Be There (28-12-6-6-5-4-5-7-8-13-16-18-31-52-35-44-46-54-67-70-xx) [20 wks]
27 973 Sigala & Paloma Faith - Lullaby (43-13-5-2-2-2-2-4-7-10-12-14-21-40-42-42-60-xx-74-xx) [18 wks]
28 971 Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey - The Middle (56-24-15-13-15-6-7-7-12-13-14-21-15-17-16-32-52-62-xx) [18 wks]
29 948 Kylie Minogue - Stop Me From Falling (35-9-8-5-4-2-4-3-3-5-10-17-19-26-42-xx) [15 wks]
30 934 Kendrick Lamar & SZA - All The Stars (48-28-25-26-24-17-11-7-3-8-6-8-11-16-23-41-56-xx) [17 wks]

Kendrick and SZA landed a slow-burner hit with their Black Panther anthem All the Stars, I expect it was as a result of Dev playing an instrumental on loop for 3 minutes on the chart??? Kylie scored a big hit with Stop Me From Falling, which actually outpeaked Dancing despite that still being left to come. Zedd's collaboration with friends Grey and country star Maren Morris landed him a global hit but not quite top 5 on the multichart, unlike Sigala & Paloma Faith's Lullaby, which spent four unlucky weeks at #2! Finally, there's Jess Glynne x

21 1043 Rudimental feat. Jess Glynne, Macklemore & Dan Caplen - These Days (22-11-11-6-1-1-1-2-3-5-9-9-12-29-32-40-55-xx) [17 wks]
22 1015 Sigrid - Strangers (31-21-22-21-11-8-8-8-3-3-2-3-5-5-11-12-21-21-27-33-41-66-xx) [22 wks]
23 1007 Rita Ora - Let You Love Me (8-3-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-4-6-8-9-12-...) [14 wks]
24 1005 Marshmello & Anne-Marie - FRIENDS (16-6-2-1-1-1-4-5-7-16-16-19-33-36-72-xx) [15 wks]
25 1005 Silk City & Dua Lipa feat. Diplo & Mark Ronson - Electricity (12-2-2-1-2-2-2-3-5-7-12-19-25-27-34-56-...) [17 wks]

Silk City's Electricity gave Dua Lipa a fifth Multi #1, sneaking in there before Rita Ora's Let You Love Me took over for seven weeks (just over half of Anywhere's run at the top). Sigrid's big single Strangers climbed gradually to its peak, not long after her Sound of 2018 victory. Marshmello/Anne Marie's FRIENDS and Rudimental's These Days are also just outside the top 20, both former #1s as well (must've been a slow period)

In hindsight 'These Days' being #1 at all, let alone for 3 weeks, is pretty surprising!

FRIENDS feels like an even more surprising #1 but I won't complain *.*

16 1092 Marshmello & Bastille - Happier (67-25-16-10-7-6-10-6-4-5-10-8-18-18-22-30-25-27-38-...) [19 wks]
17 1061 David Guetta & Sia - Flames (38-22-20-15-10-6-4-3-3-4-6-7-14-24-31-25-36-55-68-71-73-xx) [21 wks]
18 1058 Dynoro & Gigi D'Agostino - In My Mind (23-12-4-3-3-3-3-4-5-11-10-16-17-25-26-37-56-63-65-xx) [19 wks]
19 1054 Shawn Mendes - In My Blood (32-12-10-9-5-8-9-8-8-7-9-16-19-26-21-24-33-58-xx) [18 wks]
20 1051 Liam Payne & Rita Ora - For You (16-6-4-5-3-2-3-3-4-6-6-14-15-25-31-38-61-75-xx) [17 wks]

Two months into the countdown and we're finally in the top 20. Rita Ora had two long-running #1s with Anywhere and Let You Love Me, but For You couldn't quite make it, blocked for a week by IDGAF. In My Blood is Shawn's third top 5 Multichart hit, matching the peak of There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back and just shy of the #4 peak of Stitches. In My Mind had twice as many weeks at its #3 peak than Flames, but the latter finishes higher here thanks to a slightly longer chart run. And Happier is quite higher than I expected with it being released later in 2018, it ended up charting 6 more weeks in 2019!

11 1151 Ariana Grande - breathin (43-19-18-16-12-7-7-8-10-9-7-11-13-14-19-18-25-23-...) [19 wks]
12 1142 Ariana Grande - God is a woman (14-4-2-1-1-1-1-1-2-4-5-9-11-20-36-44-54-63-61-59-64-74-xx) [22 wks]
13 1136 Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Promises (15-3-2-1-1-1-2-3-3-3-6-12-20-23-28-32-37-50-66-...) [19 wks]
14 1102 Cardi B, Bad Bunny & J Balvin - I Like It (49-70-34-25-11-13-15-10-9-7-9-10-14-10-13-16-18-30-35-42-54-xx) [21 wks]
15 1096 Kylie Minogue - Dancing (10-6-6-4-4-4-5-8-10-7-7-12-10-9-22-26-46-xx) [17 wks]

Just missing the top 10 now, Kylie Minogue's comeback track Dancing had a very impressive top 10 run, spending a huge 13 weeks there out of its total 17 in the top 75. Cardi B's I Like It was her biggest global hit, and that applies to the multichart too - her first and only top 10 so far as a lead artist. A couple of #1s follow - both Calvin and Ariana's second #1s of the year. Calvin managed to give Sam Smith his very first multichart #1. Ariana's God is a woman managed to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor to the top spot, and interestingly actually spent a week longer at #1! It's also beaten by breathin, which only peaked at #7 but has shown greater consistency around the top end of the chart.

10 1160 Au/Ra & CamelPhat - Panic Room (38-24-17-13-12-8-6-6-4-5-5-9-11-17-20-24-35-41-40-50-57-70-xx) [22 wks]

CamelPhat's remix of Au/Ra's Panic Room brought it some chart success, moreso in the Multi with a #4 peak. The duo would score another top 10 hit afterwards with 'Breathe', and Au/Ra also picked up another top 40 as a feature on Alan Walker's 'Darkside'

9 1182 George Ezra - Paradise (45-30-26-28-23-24-13-4-3-1-1-3-2-5-8-9-27-25-37-54-46-xx) [21 wks]

It fell just short of #1 in the UK, but 'Paradise' made it there for two weeks on the Multichart! As many have said this was an unexpected success for George as previous single 'Don't Matter Now' had come and gone several months before without making an impact, but 'Paradise' had hit written all over it, as did his other 2018 hit which is still to come...

Panic Room top 10 is great to see, good to have Promises up high too, hopefully One Kiss is a big #1 contender here.

8 1210 Dua Lipa - IDGAF (64-26-17-7-7-1-1-1-2-2-3-4-5-9-11-16-22-31-36-51-58-xx) [21 wks]

Unsurprisingly, Dua Lipa nabbed the multichart EOY #1 with New Rules in 2017, and poses a strong threat for 2018 too with One Kiss still in the running. IDGAF drops out here, the first of her three chart-toppers from 2018. It spent three weeks at #1, finally bringing an end to the record-breaking 13-week run of Rita Ora's Anywhere.

7 1216 George Ezra - Shotgun (47-23-18-13-7-5-3-2-3-5-8-8-9-8-17-22-26-26-45-51-54-56-xx) [22 wks]

i can get YUUUU-SED to this. George Ezra's summer hit Shotgun needs no introduction, follow up to his #1 with Paradise, Shotgun peaked at #2 but finishes ahead here by a narrow margin

6 1218 Clean Bandit feat. Demi Lovato - Solo (7-3-3-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-4-6-4-9-16-34-43-40-49-xx) [19 wks]

'Solo' only snuck in a solo week at #1 officially, but fared a lot better here with six weeks at the top! All five of Clean Bandit's #1s have had five or more weeks at the top. This was also Demi Lovato's first Multichart #1!

5 1224 5 Seconds of Summer - Youngblood (44-20-9-6-5-5-4-3-3-3-2-2-2-8-15-16-23-30-43-xx-61-xx) [20 wks]

One of the biggest surprise global hits of the year, 5 Seconds of Summer managed their highest multichart peak to date with the #2 Youngblood, from their album of the same name. Quite possibly the biggest hit by a boyband in multichart history? At least since I've compiled it anyway!

4 1232 Taylor Swift - Delicate (64-30-30-25-8-8-6-4-5-7-9-14-20-17-22-22-22-18-19-21-33-54-61-73-xx) [24 wks]

One of the later and better received singles from Taylor's Reputation era, Delicate found more success in the US than over here. It peaks at #4 on both the weekly and year-end Multichart (finishing higher than lead single Look What You Made Me Do in the latter) ~
