Ariana Grande should land a seventh UK #1 with her lead single Positions. Expect to see big new entries for Little Mix with their third 'Confetti' single Sweet Melody and KSI's collaboration with Craig David on Really Love, plus there's new tracks from Bring Me The Horizon and Kylie Minogue

Bruce Springsteen's Letter To You looks to be the leading contender for #1, it would be his eleventh studio album to get there. Gorillaz release their newest collection Song Machine Season 1: Strange Timez, while Nothing But Thieves are back with their third album Moral Panic. Other new releases include Faithless, Joe Bonamassa, Luke Combs, Melody Gardot, Kidz Bop Kids and Ty Dolla $ign

Breakdown of the week
- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.
- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.
- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm
- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.
- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.
- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

checking how the last few albums have done for the new big releases...

no competition for Bruce Springsteen, this is how his last 5 studio albums did:
Magic (2007) - 77K
Working on a Dream (2009) - 67K
Wrecking Ball (2012) - 74K
High Hopes (2014) - 48K
Western Stars (2019) - 52K

Gorillaz had a big drop in opening figures with their last album, going from selling 44K with Humanz in 2017 to 16K with The Now Now in 2018.

The last Faithless studio album was The Dance in 2010 opening with nearly 30K, since then they released a Greatest Hits in 2015 that went to #1 but with low sales of 12K but was their 2nd GH.

Nothing But Thieves did 9K with their debut in 2015 and 12K with their sophomore in 2017,

the last 2 Bonamassa albums did 13K and 9K respectively so he should be top 5

I'd expect around 25k for Gorillaz, and 20k for Nothing But Thieves - they've grown loads and become an arena band since their last album.
