No but seriously, this was evidently created before Saltburn took off so I don’t think she was inspired by it. Just continues to show that she has her finger on the pulse and is always ahead of trends, more than anyone else in pop right now imo.

Well, yes, that’s because trends come back around? That’s like laughing at anyone who suggested The Weeknd/Dua Lipa were on trend by releasing 80s sounding songs in 2020. It’s very evident that we’re about to reach an age in pop where that kind of 00s nostalgia is going to influence pop and I dare say Charli is the first mainstream artist to tap into that.
She was on the PC music movement before any others, she’s always been bold and brave in her pop and led trends instead of following them, I don’t think that’s ridiculous to say at all.
I'm not convinced that this mini Saltburn-inspired 00s nostalgia is going to become a full blown resurgence, but I'll be the first to hold my hands up if it really does and Charli has indeed tapped into that. For now, this still just sounds like a dated mess to me, although I realise I'm in the minority with that view.
Oh even after all the pre-release hype it's still a grower!

Yeah, it sounds like Bodyrox and I am more than happy for that type of sound to have a resurgence!
It's certainly something different and refreshing compared to a lot of stuff in the charts.
This is absolutely not clicking with me and it's frustrating as really it sounds like something I'd love
I’m not wowed by it either unfortunately, but then I wasn’t much of a fan of the mid-2000s dance sound that it’s drawing inspiration from! I feel that the repeated “I’m your number one” hook is on the annoying side. I don’t know… maybe it’ll grow on me. I wasn’t at all fond of Beg for You at first either, yet that ended up being one of my favourite songs from 2022!

I hope HHUK didn’t add it too late, it was off to such an amazing first few days on Spotify but might find it hard to catch back up again, this is why HHUK need to act faster.

I don't know if this is just algorithm bias but i'm seeing a lot of Tiktok's using the remix with the scream.
I still prefer the original but if this can boost its virality and get it back up the charts that would be amazing thanks.
At first I found it through some tik toks and was quite annoyed by 'I'm your number one I'm your number one' part, but then Spotify played it to me in full and I was grabbed by those basslines in the end! Now totally love it!
