This needed to be so much better in order for Ellie to make a resurgence. It might grab a top 40 peak based on the names attached to it alone, but I’d be very surprised if it became a substantial hit.

That’s 0/however many Silk City songs there have been - only heard this and Electricity and against the hive mind I thought that was a solid 6/10 at best. It’s just pretty naff.

I can't post any links here yet but check out the video that Ellie reposted on her twitter. She mentions there that the
"If you could see me now I got a feeling you'd be dancing next to me I'm on my own, but I could never be lonely I got new love in me now Got electricity in every bone like woah Now I'm overthinking that I'm not who I should be I got new love in me" part was originally the chorus. Do we need anything else to confirm that "Electricity" became "New Love"?

I agree that it's a coincidence that Ellie has an unreleased song called "Electricity" and she says that word on "New Love". I really doubt that they were meant to be the same.
