'Chillin'' hitmaker Lady Gaga has announced she is taking a rest from music for the time being – but that doesn't mean she doesn't have some more projects up her sleeve!

Speaking to Billboard, the star also known as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta said she was planning to take a rest and "slow down for a moment" for some healing.

"It doesn't mean I don't have some things up my sleeve," she added.

Gaga also got emotional speaking to reporters about her health, saying: "it's hard, but it's liberating too."

Just because she's on a music break, doesn't mean Gaga isn't working on other projects — like her Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, which she was promoting when she announced her rest.

The documentary follows the last year (or so) in the star's life, covering the build-up to her Super Bowl LI performance and the medical procedures she underwent to help her deal with the chronic pain she suffered.

She is also starring in the upcoming remake of A Star is Born alongside Bradley Cooper, which opens in September next year.

She'll still release songs I assume (like The Cure) and i'm all for her having a mental/personal rest because this past year has been CRAZY for her with the films, documentaries, superbowl, TOUR etc. Enough to tire out anyone let alone someone that just released an album!

JUST PLEASE DON'T DISAPPEAR OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH

i hope she takes a well deserved break but stays on social media/ doing appearances because i love her too much for her to vanish!!

She really deserves this break, it's been an absolutely CRAZY year for her but as with Lotti, I really hope she stays around!! 17 Oct is gonna be such a moment, can't believe it's taken me this long to hear her voice live <3

Yeah it's only when I take a moment to think about what she's done that I realise what a year it's been for her. Maybe her most demanding and busy and creative and explosive year TO DATE?

Yeah this is exactly what I thought and that's completely normal and expected. Most artists take an 18 month maximum break in between eras to finish up the tour, make some appearances, and then rest and gear up for the next era. With the Super Bowl/Coachella/tour all wrapped up in one to finish off this current era, it would be nice for her.

That's what I expected tbh after reading a bit more, for the first like 10 seconds after I read the title I was legit scared we were gonna get LG6 in like 2021

Awful journalists these days. Sentence splicing is so amateur.

But I think thay shows she has given up and quit music. Ritney should have done the same.
