don't think I'll bother watching this year when it's going to be a whole show dedicating to kissing the ass of Ed Sheeran.

Ed Sheeran's mum will probably win Best Female and his parents Best Group for conceiving him.

Performance slot perhaps.. him winning best album would be as ridiculous as Ed doing it.
So Stormzy to win that award PLEASE |

The Best British Male category will surely be made up of Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Stormzy, Rag N Bone Man & Liam Gallagher (or maybe George posthumously).

That’s a bit harsh we had whole shows dedicated to kissing Adele’s ass And that was also very boring. Although the only year I deliberately wouldn’t watch was the year they were gushing over Emeli Sandé. I’d like to see Pink win best international female. It’s 15 years wife she won it and she’s had a phenomenal year. But then, Beyonce was literally just a side mention last year so there’ll likely be no focus this time. |

Yeah I love Adele but it's equally dull whether it's her or Ed, who I like too, or someone I hate like Sam Smith. It's just boring when you know he's going to sweep Album and Male, most probably single, probably even video. I really hope Little Mix can snatch Best Group and Dua Lipa best Female, but it'll inevitably some radio 1 focused indie band who wins group.

There seems to be less and less categories every year, I hate the fact they got rid of Best International Album and International Breakthrough.

In fairness, there hasn’t been much exciting music out over past 12 months and it’s looking quite predictable about who will dominate so this doesn’t interest me at all this year!

Ah I love the BRITs they are my favourite awards show by miles! Even better I'm not working so I can actually watch it live and vote via twitter depending if there's anything I like . This year looks to be much more exciting than last year as well, in which it was the most sorry looking state of affairs due to how awful the music in general was last year but also in particular for British based acts. The past year has seen quite a number of British acts having decent success and breaking out.
I must admit I have had a gripe with the actual awards for some time now. I don't like how international artists don't get much of a look in, increasingly so these days. They should either have all the awards but open it up to international artists and maybe have a couple of specific British awards like Critics Choice and a best British act or something. Or have the same categories for the international artists. |
