Great Britain will compete in January's inaugural ATP Cup following Andy Murray's late decision to enter.

Britain may not have qualified for the 24-team event had Murray not entered under his protected world ranking of two.

Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are also in the field for the new tournament, which will be played across three Australian cities.

The draw takes place at the Sydney Opera House on Monday.

Nick Kyrgios has received a suspended 16-week ban and $25,000 (20,300) fine for "aggravated behaviour", subject to a six-month probationary period.

The Australian smashed two racquets in a bad-tempered Cincinnati Masters defeat by Karen Khachanov in August.

He was later fined $113,000 (93,254) for five separate offences.

However an ATP investigation determined Kyrgios' "pattern of behaviour" over the past 12 months to be in violation of the governing body's code.

Both fine and suspension will be triggered if the 24-year-old does not comply with certain conditions - including avoiding any further code violations incurring a fine.

Novak Djokovic produced another high-quality display to ease past American John Isner in the Shanghai Masters third round.

Serb Djokovic, 32, did not face a break point as he won 7-5 6-3 against the big-serving 16th seed.

Switzerland's Roger Federer, 38, also reached the quarter-finals with a 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 win over Belgium's David Goffin.

Coco Gauff has reached the semi-finals of a WTA Tour event for the first time as her run continued at the Linz Open.

The American, 15, beat top seed and world number eight Kiki Bertens, of the Netherlands, 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 in Austria.

It was Gauff's first win over a top-10 player, at an event in which she only came into the draw as a lucky loser.

"I'm really happy and proud of myself," said Gauff, who will face Germany's Andrea Petkovic in the semi-finals on Saturday.

She becomes the youngest player to reach a semi-final on the WTA Tour since the Czech Republic's Nicole Vaidisova won in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 2004.

The 15 year old Cori Gauff has won her first WTA singles title in Linz, beating Jelena Ostapenko 6-3 1-6 6-2. The first of many,I'm sure.

Meanwhile,Heather Watson lost the Tianjin final with no spectators watching as rain forced the match to be moved to an indoors practice court.

Medvedev won! He really is on fire and the best player right now, no doubt about it

watched the Murray-Fognini game commented above and Fognini really needs a suspension, his attitude was worst than Kyrgios, shouting at the rival when he was about to hit the ball to make him make an error is against all ethical codes...
