Juice WRLD's second album 'A Deathrace For Love' is due to be released this March. The first single 'Robbery' is out now which looks set to become his second proper hit, and it's produced by Nick Mira who also did 'Lucid Dreams'.
It's a very shouty track but it's growing on me. |

I was looking forward to hearing this as Juice has done some good features recently (and I also loved 'Armed And Dangerous' which I was hoping would give him his second hit but seemed to just fizzle out as a mid-sized US hit like a couple of his other songs) but I'm not sure about this atm, the vocals are a bit offputting on first listen. Some pretty awful lyrics as well. I can see it possibly being a grower though.

I'm surprised it's taken this long for him to get another hit!
Juice seems like a decent guy, he hasn't had any controversies which is good to see. I like a bit of piano with my rap and I do quite like his 'shouty' vocal style |

I can see it possibly being a grower though. Well it has grown on me indeed after getting a bit more used to the rough vocals with another couple of listens. Kind of reminds me of a trap version of blink-182 or something. I still have to laugh a bit at some of these lyrics in a song that's trying to be serious though. QUOTE One thing my dad told me was, "Never let your woman know when you're insecure" So I put Gucci on the fur And I put my wrist on iceberg One thing my heart tells me is "Flex on a ho every time they're insecure" Poetry. |

I had to check this out after loving Lucid Dreams last year. So far I'm digging Empty and Fast after listening to the first 5 tracks. I do enjoy a bit of a tortured soul in music so am championing Juice to dominate in the coming months/years.

Music video for 'Hear Me Calling', Juice trying his hand at some Drake-esque pseudo-dancehall:
This one also sounded mediocre on first listen but is really growing on me a lot (and I'm properly loving 'Robbery' now). He's really surprised me with how versatile he can be. The album having 22 tracks tho. Surely that's more Juice WRLD than even Juice WRLD fans want. x |

'Robbery' not as good as 'Wild Dreams' in my opinion.
