12. Can't Speak French

Avg: 7.923

Highest Rates: 10 (Niall Minogue, JoeP, Alex, Mike Sugafan, Kellyann, Insomnio)
Lowest Rates: -1 (J*hq)

At #12 is the sexy and sultry "Can't Speak French" released in March 2008 as the third and final single from "Tangled Up" . The song was just one of other options for the 3rd single from the album, others included "Close To Love" and the amazing "Girl Overboard" (which should have been a single as well), but "CSF" was confirmed through their website on January 2008 and at first promotion was put on hold due to Cheryl Cole's marriage troubles to Ashley Cole, but plans were resumed and the song was even used as the theme to their new TV series "Passions Of Girls Aloud". The song entered the charts on February at #49 due to downloads and 4 weeks later reached it's peak position of #9, beating rival girl group The Sugababes who also released their single "Denial" in the same week, which peaked at #15. The song had a lengthy run in the UK top 75 with 20 weeks and sold 186,000 copies and earning a Silver disc.

11. Wake Me Up

Avg: 8.019

Highest Rates: 11 (Cameron), 10 (Juranamo, AdamAloud, Mr Aly, Niall Minogue, Jsily)
Lowest Rates: 2 (Mike Sugafan)

Just outside the top 10 at #11 is "Wake Me Up", released in February 2005 as the 5th and final single from their 2nd album "What Will The Neighbours Say" and originally was considered as being the 1st single, but was deemed too harsh and risky. The song peaked at #4 in the UK charts becoming their first to miss the top 3, but continued their streak of top 5 hits which was 8 at the time. "WMU" was also band member Sarah's favourite song from the album and was just one of 4 choices for the lead single, "Graffiti My Soul", "The Show" and "Androgynus Girls", "TS" was chosen first. Also "Graffiti My Soul" was also gonna follow this, but was cancelled for unknown reasons. The song did very well on this rate getting a 11 and five 10's, eleven 8's and 9's.

10. The Loving Kind

Avg: 8.25

Highest Rates: 11 (Leonardo), 10 (Liam, JosephStyles, Mr Aly, Umi, JoeP, Insomnio)
Lowest Rates: 0 (Jsily)

At #10 is "The Loving Kind" a song which was written by The Pet Shop Boys and was originally intended meant to be included on their album "Yes" , but was instead given to Girls Aloud for their 5th studio album "Out Of Control" and making a major change from their previous single "TP", this song is a synth pop ballad and was released in January 2009 as the 2nd single. The song entered the UK charts at #87 due to downloads and five weeks later reached it's peak position of #10 becoming the girls record breaking 20th top 10 hit in a row. On this rate "TLK" was actually a strong contender for the top spot in the early rates, gaining loads of 10's and seemed confirmed for a top 5 placing, but towards the end it slowed down, but still managed a top 10 placing with a decent average of 8.25.

09. Something New

Avg: 8.307

Highest Rates: 11 (AdamAloud, JosephStyles), 10 (Juranamo, Niall Minogue, Jay, JoeP, Cameron, Aled, Kellann)
Lowest Rates: 2 (Alex)

At #9 is "Something New" which was Girls Aloud's comeback single in 2012, after a three year break and celebrating their 10 year anniversary and also used as the official Children In Need single of that year also. Released in November 2012 and entered the charts at #2 selling 70,000 copies in it's first week, and held off the top by Olly Murs "Troublemaker", the track became the girls 16th top 5 hit and 21st top 10 hit. The track was also used to promote their 2nd Greatest Hits collection "Ten" and became a instant fave among fans, (I just loved it). The rates for this were overwelming positive with two 11's, seven 10's and a lot of 8's and 9's, and only two low rates.

08. Call The Shots

Avg: 8.442

Highest Rates: 11 (Doug) 10 (Liam, AdamAloud, JosephStyles, Niall Minogue, Jay, JoeP, Leonardo, Aled, Mike Sugafan, Outstanding Mixer, Davidson, Kellyann)
Lowest Rates: -1 (Jsily, Ultraviolence)

At #8 is "Call The Shots" and again another shocker as this was originally a lot higher, but thanks to the two -1's scores towards the end, it brought it's average down, but still managed a decent top 10 placing, thanks to a whopping 12 10's. Released in November 2007 as the 2nd single from their 4th album "Tangled Up". This was originally intended to be included on their "Sound Of Girls Aloud - The Hits" album but "Something Kinda Oooh" was selected instead, and "CTS" was placed on "Tangled Up" instead, which was a wise choice and showcases a more mature side to their sound. Following the release of the album the track entered the UK charts at #9 and then the following week it rose to #3, spending 7 weeks in the top 10 and therefore becoming the most successful single from that album selling 290,000 copies and earning a Silver disc.

What a strange rate. I really expected Call the Shots and Love Machine top 5, though I'm glad they're not. The top 7 would be perfect with Long Hot Summer instead of SOTU. Hopefully the latter is out next.

Something New is too high imo sad.gif good enough but not a strong enough comeback single, and that showed in how it did chartwise.

'Call The Shots' finishing at #8 is really disgusting. sad.gif 'The Promise' and 'Love Machine' are way too low as well. 'The Loving Kind' is so overrated on here.

07. No Good Advice

Avg: 8.653

Highest Rates: 11 (Mr Aly) 10 (Juranamo, Niall Minogue, Jay, Alex, Aled, Davidson, Insomnio)
Lowest Rates: 6 (Cameron, Mike Sugafan)

At #7 is "No Good Advice" the girls second single release from their debut album "Sound Of The Underground" in May 2003, coming five months after the massive success of their debut, this one becomes another hit for the girls by peaking at #2. The song also followed a similar sound to their previous hit, again with the rocky guitar, but mixed with disco and the music video was voted 5th sexiest music video of all time in 2006, but the girls themselves hated it.
