Welcome to Week 4 of these polls!

Results from Week 3

A close call, but Otis Redding - (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay held off The Supremes by 10 votes to 9 to take this week's crown.

Ken Dodd - The River topped the worst poll as a choice for 8 people, more than half the voting base.

Best poll winners

week 1: Danny And The Juniors - At The Hop
week 2: Dusty Springfield - I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself
week 3: Otis Redding - (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay

One song stands head and shoulders above the rest, so an obvious vote to 'Life On Mars', but handed some out to my other faves from Lynn Anderson, America and T. Rex.

Not a particularly bad bunch - 'Johnny Reggae' is at least amusing and the Donny / David C offerings are little worse than meh, so Andy Williams gets my vote for the most superfluous cover version.

First time joining today and was fun x

Voting for my top faves:

Edwin Starr - War
Mott The Hoople - All The Young Dudes
T.Rex - 20th Century Boy
and David Bowie - Life On Mars

Worst would be David Cassidy - I'm a Clown. I do like some of his and also some Partridge Family tracks as well but this one was very drab oops.
Andy Williams version is a inferior version compared to the UB40 great but it isn't enough for me to hand out a worst Vote.

Once again quite a clear top 3 faves for me this week - David Bowie, Edwin Starr and the iconic 'Monster Mash'.

The Piglets for worst, cringe x

Tough one this week, I went with A Horse With No Name, All The Young Dudes, You're So Vain, 20th Century Boy and Life on Mars. Pains me to leave out Monster Mash in particular but this was a strong selection.

Donny Osmond for worst, snooze x The Piglets were at least memorable.

Well I own copies of all these, so biased, but CCR is the least good, so voted for almost all the rest bar Edwin and Monster mash, and in t'other section I bought Johnny reggae, it was a laugh, adore I'm A Clown (full version), and like Why and Andy Williams, but on balance I'd least like to hear Andy's cover of the four, though it's better than Elvis' dull original, The Stylistics' annoying disco hit version and not far behind the best version - UB40's. Special mention to Lick The Tins mad synth 80's minor hit version which would make an interesting BJSC entry one day... teresa.gif smile.gif
