Out next is the painfully autobiographical 'Mother and Father'. In keeping with the distorted, electronic sound of the album, here she looks not outwards at the world around her but internally at her own upbringing and the problems she faced. The song is "a way of letting go of the sadness and moving on" following the death of her mother when she was aged just 5. It's quite a painful song to listen to in terms of the lyrics and it is all frankly laid out in the middle-8 and perhaps this is a bit too raw for some. It's not the most catchy or memorable songs on the album and has done about as well as I thought it would here ~

EASY RIDE so easily
I might be controversial-ish and go for 'Hollywood' at this point (SORRY TYLER!). Either that or 'Die Another Day'.
'Easy Ride' is probably my second favourite on the album. Reminds me of 'Gone' and 'Voices', although more because they're all ballads, are very emotive and appear at the end of their respective albums, rather than any specific similarities in sound.
time to get my minions out for Die Another Day tbh
Guys please don't vote out Hollywood. My heart can't take it.
Easy Ride
Easy Ride
Closing this evening! Thread seems quieter than usual
if hollywood goes i WILL flip
Easy Ride
Tbf, as much as I adore it, just missing out on a Top 5 placing is really good going for 'Easy Ride'.
I didn't expect it to get such a... EASY RIDE.
Meh as lovely as it is, it should've left a few rounds ago. Top 5 looking SOLID though so let's get it started~
