Kim's reign at the top is cut short after a month unexpectedly by Sam Smith, who laps the threat last week from Charli XCX and Christine and the Queens. Gone holds steady at #2 as Sam gains his third, and second solo #1 on my personals, quickly following up his second, Promises with Calvin Harris, from last winter. Icy drops to #4 in its sixth week but will be a threat again next week. Rebounding this week to #3 is Mark Ronson and Camila's long-running success Find U Again which came close to taking the top spot on a few occasions now, but no cigar.

How Do You Sleep? becomes by far my favourite Sam solo single to date, with a video that shows a lot of diversity from artist Sam initially appeared to be. It's super cool to see an LGBT high profile artist being so unashamedly queer even when that goes against the conservative brand they debuted with. Site contest fans may recognise a few of the other tracks this week; Grey and Avril Lavigne's collab from the recent Club Bizarre holds steady within my top 5, while from the last BJSC discoveries debut this week from Wafia (#8) and Iveta Mukuchyan (#19), with Ingrid Michaelson from a recent contest just behind at #20. My own Worldvision entry from Dado Polumenta also debuts this week at #15.

This week also sees new entries from Majid Jordan and Khalid, Icona Pop, Madonna, City Girls, Sia, Gryffin and Carly Rae Jepsen, Dido, Bastille, SOPHIE, Bonnie McKee, Icona Pop, Of Monsters and Men, Mat Kearney, Lykke Li, Editors, and Ariana Grande's new one which is able to debut in its first eligible week due to high impact.
