Due to ACR, I think there will be far less than it was last year, maybe around 15 in top 40 and less than 30 inside top 100.

It'll likely be more this year due to the way the chart weeks and Xmas day falls.

Rather steep year-on-year declines for Brenda Lee, Chris Rea, John & Yoko and Paul McCartney. Must not be as prominent on playlists across the board this year.
Hopefully Pretenders, Gwen and The Waitresses can all make the chart next week, shame to see them on the 2nd list at the moment.

Surprised to not see Gwen in there as she's in SCR still this year!

Next week's chart is Cliff's very last chance to make the top 40 for seven successive decades. Mistletoe and Wine currently at 98 makes his situation look bleak.

I'm surprised he hasn't made the top 40 once since 2010!

I'm definitely thinking less than last tear at this point. 22 top 40 and 49 top 100

30 songs top 40
61 songs top 100

well done to those of you who predicted the correct bracket.
my predictions of 29 and 62 were not far off in the end.

I suppose that'll be the most we ever get due to the "perfect" timing this year - plus the OCC will definitely introduce another new rule soon in an attempt to further minimise the impact of Christmas songs.

That's a lot of Xmas entries there - we won't see a chart like this again most likely if the rules change.
