Welcome to Round 17 of Least Fave Disney Animated Classic and the 37th movie to be voted out is "Robin Hood" with 11 Votes, the highest since round 5. It's quite surprising that this has managed to finish so high, considering that some of the other more well known classics that it has beaten, such as "Dumbo" and "Cinderella". This also means that we have lost the last of the 1970's era of Disney films. Released in 1973 as the 21st Disney animated feature and is based on the legend of Robin Hood, now this character has been adapted to the big screen many times, but this is the first time where all the characters are anthropomorphic animals rather than people. Originally this was to be about Reynard The Fox, but due to Walt Disney's concern that he was an unsuitable choice for a hero, the project languished and instead the central fox character was used as the basis for Robin Hood. Due to it's small budget, the artists traced footage from previous Disney movies such as "The Jungle Book", "Snow White" and "The Aristocats" for the dance sequences. It became a big success upon release with a budget of $1.5 Million and ended up grossing $32 Million.

As for the others "Frozen" scored the 2nd highest with 4 votes, then "Mulan" and "Tangled" score 3 votes each. "Sleeping Beauty" scored 2 votes, while "Bambi". "Alice In Wonderland", "Peter Pan", "Lady and the Tramp", "101 Dalmatians", "The Little Mermaid" and "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame" each scored 1 vote each.

18th Robin Hood = 11 Votes

I've always really liked this one and I think that this is probably one of the only Disney films where all the cast were animals, which was really clever, okay the movie itself doesn't add much to the Robin Hood legend, but it's still a fun time and honestly I didn't find the amount of re-used animation distracting at all. The characters were great, especially the bad guys, Prince John and Hiss were brilliant and The Sherriff was just a hoot. The humour was clever and at times worked extremely well for adults, and the entire thing is endlessly quotable. The best thing about Robin Hood though is how it just feels so laid back and nostalgic, making it an absolute classic for anyone who has seen it as a child.

So then we are now down to just 17 movies left, same rules apply just vote for your least fave by the next round which will be on 30th December.

Three great movies in the lead now, nooo guys :'(

Um, Sleeping Beauty for me now. The animation is beautiful and the villain is strong, but I can't really say the same about the plot/lead character (in fact, Snow White is the only early Princess film that I really enjoyed a lot :/)...

Ooh 'Tangled' going next would be my next option after 'Sleeping Beauty', so I'm very happy with that!

Poor 'Frozen' though :'(

Looks like it's between Tangled and Frozen, both are great and glad that they both at least made the top 20.
