Hope the winner is something in my votes, or otherwise in my commiserations!

After being bottom 2 in two predictions, my not-that-ambitious aim of top 40 is looking a little shaky, but I'll be happy if I either do that, make triple figures, or get points from one of the few remaining ever-present nations in 2023 from whom I haven't yet.

After all the hype and coming into this contest with a good feeling, I’d like that to materialise into a top 10. The PFSC result has definitely made this an interesting one cos I have no idea what to expect!

Think this could be a really competitive final and I’m actually free so I’m interested to see where this goes!

I'm hoping that the early positive predictions (apart from that rude 40/1 one x) can be proved right tonight. My last two films entries to different song contests both got top 10 so it would be wonderful to achieve that or nearabouts again.

For such a strong final, I'm not really feeling a lot of the songs touted as contenders so I'll also be hoping for some surprises up top x

I've finished my prep earlier than expected which has simply made me feel that I've not prepped enough so we'll be starting a little early in ~30 mins so I'm not frantic and/or overrunning into the early jours.

I do feel some of the top 10 odds for mine are a bit too optimistic haha but then Blutengel did come top 10 before in a spinoff and I wrote off 'When Is The Future' a lot too so if it does reach top half that'll be good enough for me this time!

Hoping for some songs lower down in the odds to do much better too.

Looking forward to seeing how this pans out with who wins!

Aww was really rooting for Danæviia as that was my silver medal but 'Aria' is still a fine winner, gave it a few points in the semi but a lot of growers pushed it out in the final. Congrats Dandy very much looking forward to a contest hosted by you, if you do take it on. 2nd is still amazing for Danæviia, also happy that Quintessa finished as high as 3rd, Neliönoir in the top 5 and POPHub, Republic of Adonia + Bøtanikkä top 10. <3

Well, I finished in the 30s in the past couple of contests and now low 20s this time... progress! Once again grateful for my Q streak but I do miss making a bit more of an impact in the final.

Congrats Dandy unfortunately not a song I'm crazy about (it grew on me a bit throughout the contest but at the end of the day I still feel like it just sounds like a derivative version of a sound that's been done much better before in BJSC, I ranked it 31st) but not bad by any means, would still take it over a good handful of last year's winners!

Will double check the scoreboard before commenting on the rest as per but it does appear that 3 of my top 5 finished in the overall top 5 in the end so can't complain too much *.*

Thanks Hare for an exhilarating results show! Love the kerfuffle in the middle where anyone in the top 15 can be a winner realistically. Congrats Dandy on the win! Delighted to see two of my favourite discoveries Danæviia and Quintessa doing pretty well but Terra Avium was quite robbed! Neliönoir and Hendinia both did really well which is great to see, and commiserations to Cor Lupus for missing the top 10. Sandénia and Pestolia got robbed terribly. The taste is missing I fear!

Next edition prepare for a Celtic banger to end the year!

Wow, well very well done Fljótavík, it was a really good track and clearly had the momentum behind it going into this so it's not a surprising winner! Impressive 2nd place for Dan, it wasn't in my votes but I appreciated how standout it was a choice. Likewise Quintessa, for me that was the most inspired song this month - almost no streams on Spotify, the language, the kind of sonic switch up it has in the middle - to get such a song into the top three is a huge achievement!

The top six isn't a big surprise but the rest of the top ten is for me, some interesting songs in there! Shame about the FARC deduction but it did gift a classic 90s track a top ten place.

Nice to see Lookylion almost make the top 20, a great track!

Not 31st and dropping out of the top 30 at the last second Quite pleased to not be bottom ten, however, as I felt getting to the final was an achievement with quite a dark song really (but one I very much adore). Cadelicia is really the only one in the bottom ten I'm very surprised by, it doesn't sound like an entry that would be that low.

I really should not have opted to do scoreboards on the fly after I misattributed two votes (and apparently I've given Danaeviia an extra point somewhere), and instead just used the ones I prepared earlier that were 30 points wrong. Our entry this time around was out of left field (and I think our oldest by like 30 years lol) so I had no idea what to expect. I thought it may do okay when I first heard but then I honestly thought it didn’t stand out at all in the semi so had such low expectations before the final few odds came in. Definitely one of the strongest contests I can recall and I’m delighted to see Brimheim and Minnie Riperton make top 5 and top 10 respectively. Dobago just about held top 20 which is kinda okay but Cadelicia were robbed!

I just KNEW from the second I was being hyped that it was gonna lead to nowhere and I got hate for it but GUESS WHAT? 20th in SF2 is no surprise, but naturally to end up on 60 points several of those SF votes had to have shrunk or disappeared. Looks like a spectacular collapse between two stools, not that DnB has the best track record in this contest's recent history anyway, but the idea of simultaneously tapping into the wackiness of those songs which opened SF2 in BJSC 157 (in which I'd DNQed days before finding this song) fell flat. Still it was fun to qualify with, and now I have a wooden spoon to add to the cabinet alongside the MRD bronze!

Thank you Harve for hosting, it was an entertaining final to follow, but you kept it going and genuinely you did an excellent job!

So yes, 3 of my top 5 finishing in the overall top 5 indeed (albeit only because of FARC's deduction but shhh) - great to see a post-rock song coming so close to winning, a good year for the genre after We Lost The Sea also going top 10. I really would have loved to see 'Euforija' winning as it's such a massive standout for me, just a gift that keeps giving and somehow gets better and better with every passing minute of its runtime, and as Rich pointed out a really inspired entry too with it being in a rather uncommon language (Lithuanian as far as I can tell) and having such a low stream count, I would love to know how Leo came across this song! But 3rd is still great and I suppose it's fitting to have the same result as a similarly standout foreign language Quintessan entry before in 'Europa' (almost the same title even haha). And fantastic to see r new alt kween giving Neliönoir a first top 5 result *.*

Also what a result for POPHub, a really lovely song but not one that I had considered as a likely hit - if anything I thought it might be overshadowed by Terra Avium's entry in a similar-ish style (although still a decent enough result for them too). And happy to see Hendinia and Bøtanikkä top 10 too though I didn't have room for them in my votes + Minnie Riperton going top 10 is low key iconic as well, it was definitely quite a standout for an early 70s pick so I can see why it resonated so much, it was just outside my commiserations myself but I had to stop somewhere! Would have been nice to have Baby Storme sneak in as well both for it being a great song and to calm Cody's dramatics a bit but alas x

Fab to see a first top 20 for Abeltesfayeton too. to Bronzil for a well deserved new lowest points of the year (at least it'll be a memorable one! and it's 43 more points than I got in the semi)

I am learning my lesson from this month and being much better organised for the last contest of the year as I have an entry lined up already, it's about time I send another post-punk song.

YAY for Dandy! Don't feel like I often wind up stanning a Fljotavik entry so I'm happy that this was the one to win. Definitely my favourite of the top 5!

Happy with 6th after the Pop Forum results last week had me doubting the hype altogether, but in a very strong contest that ended up being very close, I'll take that. Not a single 18 is interesting for a song that finished so high, but thank you to Rich, Doctor Blind and Leww for the 15s. Not necessarily the usual nations I expect to see, so that's always nice to appeal to some different people. And a 5th top 10 of the year is great aswell, ensures I've had a better year this year than last <3

Tonight was very frantic but so much fun, very glad you were able to host Harve!

Congrats dandy a worthy winner, a great entry and one I have already downloaded, so there's a sale of one Lots of faves doing well too which is nice to see, and Two Door Cinema Club were only 3 points short of the final I think so that's not too bad considering semi 1 9th ended up 2nd overall (it just the final votes from me but picked up loads of others, so that worked out well).

at the moment thinking half a century old longsongblock that nobody I've played it to likes, and as they are all obviously blind to it's actual genius I'm entering it here with zero expectations as I like to be unpredictable It'll either come last in the semi with nothing or win...
