QUOTE(Charis @ Nov 15 2019, 11:17 AM) *
Beaten Spice Girls in 2000, and yes many more since then, U2, Oasis, beatles... Their albums faded the last couple of years before the split up.... I doubt it's going to shift 90.000 in one week - we haven't seen this number for a long time in the albums.. But yes i am more surprised by Celine Dion...

lol you have to put things in context and not exaggerate... the Spice were finished by 2000, everybody would have beaten them

they've beaten Oasis/Beatles/U2 with studio album vs Best Ofs situations so not a proper comparison either

so sure they were good album sellers but they were good at choosing release week too like they were in singles

QUOTE(Bjork @ Nov 15 2019, 10:21 AM) *
Celine's album is very good, and she knows her target audience

unlike Westlife... who've made in album for the wrong target audience... they had to make an album for their old fans, not for the Ed Sheeran generation

See your point but think Westlife will be far too strong this week, Celine may do better overall though.

So really you saying it should dlop because they are catering to their fans , but really would a dollly parton album with ariana grande type tracks be successful or a rod stewrt album with ed sheeran tracks
