Pretty sure you need the app. It updates regularly (Ellie is #30 now!)

Oh, Ellie is #3 on Amazon Music, that’ll explain it :’)

I am actually not sure who will get #1 between Harry and Stormzy. Stormzy had higher opening sales with his debut album but I could actually see Harry doing better this time, not all of Stormzy's singles have really landed this time and there seems to be a bit less hype for him in general (minus 'Vossi Bop' which was a while ago now). And Stormzy's streaming numbers might be hurt by people just streaming Christmas songs.

The Official Charts Company Midweek Sales Flash is in, and Robbie Williams' Christmas album is the early front-runner.

The Christmas Present rises 2-1 on sales of 21,814 to lead Rod Stewart's You're In My Heart (16,260 sales), which advances 3-2. Last week's chart-topper Everyday Life by Coldplay dips to No.3, selling 15,783 copies.

The only new entry in the Top 10 is The Best Of The Rock'N'Roll Pioneers by Cliff Richard & The Shadows, which has moved 6,661 units.

It's a familiar story in the singles chart, where Tones & I's Dance Monkey continues to set the pace with sales of 26,231. Before You Go (17,486 sales) by Lewis Capaldi is a non-mover at No.2, while Dua Lipa rebounds 4-3 with Don't Start Now (16,506 sales).

The Weeknd's Blinding Lights (9,961 sales) is the highest new entry, going straight in at No.10.

I can't see Harry beating Stormzy but I expect #2 will be on lock for him!

Both will be beneath Robbie imo.

Robbie has a Christmas show on the weekend of the Xmas chart I think? Could push his sales up.

Great that he's on for no1 this week, his daily sales must have increased from the end of last week, should do 50k. It's a good Xmas album too.

DM just short of the 27k she's normally on on Monday so maybe slightly below 80k this week for the first time at no1!

Leona Lewis back at Number 57.
Could be Top 50 by Friday.

Week 3 is relatively kind to Take That, Westlife and Celine Dion in the album chart.

She is actually performing better this year compared to last year if we look at the exact same chart updates. At this stage last year she was entered at #64 compared to #57 this time around and she was the 12th most popular Christmas song then compared to 10th now.

You also have to bare in mind that the main playlist being pushed on Spotify this time around, and its by far the biggest playlist with over 2 million listeners, has Leona as track 83/90 whereas songs like Kelly's are at 13/90 or Justin Bieber at 11/90 or Brenda Lee's at 6/90 and despite that advantage to the other tracks she is still charting higher than them.

And a quick look at Apple Music reveals she is the 6th most streamed Christmas song on there.

"River" by Joni Mitchell is one of those rare songs with a Christmas theme that you can play at any time of the year without sounding out of season. Like "Everybody's Gone to War" by Nerina Pallot.

It's also one like 'Driving Home For Christmas' that becomes more lyrically relevant closer to Christmas Day so tends to overtake other Christmas songs that it's initially behind.

Omfg do we HAVE TO HAVE ONE OF THESE EVERY SINGLE YEAR?!

EVERYONE'S GOING TO WAR IS NOT A CHRISTMAS SONG. IT IS A TREATSIE ON MODERN DAY SOCIETY AND THE DESENSITISATION TO THE HORRORS OF WAR VIEWED THROUGH THE LENSE OF A DISTANT CAPITALIST CULTURE FAR REMOVED FROM ANY ILL EFFECTS!!!!!! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CHRISTMAS EXCEPT FOR ONE WORD, WHICH IS JUST AN ANCHOR POINT FOR TIME, JUST LIKE HEAR THE BELLS OMFG!!!!
