Think this is big enough for its own thread?
This iconic song is moving up UK iTunes and Spotify quickly
Some other non-album track of hers is impacting the US as well... i've never known anything like it before. The gays and locals are really jumping on her.
I really think just about the whole album is better than this song, but I am pleased she's starting to blow up with it regardless.
frustrating it's at #11
but at least not as frustrating as all those weeks it spent in limbo out of the top 50
thought it was a couple months
Wish she would get a top 40 in the UK
Oh yes 🙈 only just though wasn't it?
Playlisted by Radio 1 from today!
OMG
finally
That was actually a quick climb compared to some songs
but it was not allowed to chart for weeks and weeks before it reached the top 50
But as Bre said above, it was only 1-2 weeks, nothing significant
Wow, good for her!! Shocked at this being such a hit. It's not my fave from her but I hope she does push something else on the back of this from the current album - 'Soulmate' is my personal fave
She's also announced a Europe Tour for November! London & Manchester dates I will be there for Manchester!
#1 on US iTunes!
Wow, wish she was number 1 in the UK too ♥️
Top 5 smash
YAS Queen, hope she goes top 3!
could #1 be possible?
For sure!
iTunes: #1
Spotify: #3
YouTube: #6
Apple Music: #6
US Pop: #7
Another day, another slay - this has a new peak of #4 on the Hot 100 *.*
she's getting there I've read she's done a Tiny Desk concert, which are always amazing
EDIT: Found it
Coming for that #1 in the US in the near future *_*
If only she could replicate this success in the UK.
well, if her label pushed it properly in the UK... seems they're pushing Good as Hell right now
It's going to be one of those songs, like Juice, where so many people in the UK know it but the charts say otherwise. Just look at her set at Glastonbury — the crowd were insane.
^ Agreed! I watched her Glastonbury performance of 'Juice' and was really surprised at how crazy the crowd went for it. You'd be mistaken for thinking it was a massive number one.
Juice is on an advert atm
the problem has been the lack of Spotify support... and now she finally has it.... but it's for Good as Hell instead
With the support that she is getting for 'Good As Hell'. How do you see that doing for her?
It's never likely to do anything here while it's on ACR unfortunately.
I just do not understand why there seems to be a UK push for "Good As Hell"?! I know it's been on an advert and so has "Juice" but where is the sense in pushing a song that was released years ago and isn't even on the current album?! Strange.
Apparently there's a remix of this with DaBaby coming out soon. Coming for that Hot 100 #1?
(this is just going to start happening for pretty much any song that has a reasonable chance of being boosted to #1 by a new remix now isn't it I know it's not an entirely new strategy but definitely seems to be getting more common in the immediate wake of 'Old Town Road', with both 'bad guy' and 'Ransom' also getting the 'tag on another random artist' remix treatment in the last few weeks).
Very Katy Perry trying to beat the record of most #1s from one album
Did Katy Perry use this strategy? cannot recall it?
I remember Rihanna/Britney, was it on S&M?
Ed-Perfect was the one that raised more eyebrows
yes but its not the same
it's normal to add a rapper for single release like Kaney with ET, he was added as soon as the single was released
the strategy now is to release the single and after a few weeks adding a new remix with an extra person
like Bad guy with Bieber
Yeah completely pointless artistically but if it bags her a US #1 then fair enough.
1.5m combined on US Spotify (340k more than Senorita, 1.16m)!!
Predicted to go #1 in the US next week!!!!
And it continues its steady climb up the chart. Now reached a new peak of #31.
#1 in the US!!!!!
yes, she made it!!! crazy how long it took and how much effort but she did it!
WOOOOOOP!
can her label re-push it in the UK now please!!!!!! they just need to replace Good as Hell with Truth Hurtas on HH
SO happy for her, richly deserved.
G’won Lizzo!
Glad to see! Wonder if she'll be able to actually hang onto it for a while unlike the last two #1s now (the biggest threat would probably have been Post Malone debuting at #1 but I don't think it looks like he's doing well enough to manage that? idk though).
I think Senorita will be back at #1 next week, it’ll have been close tbis week and Lizzo would’ve likely only gotten #1 cause of the boost from the Lil Baby’s remix. Senorita is getting a slightly bigger radio push too
Omg I'm so happy for her! She really deserves this level of success in the UK too, hopefully the wait for her second album isn't as long because I'm sure she's just one song away from mirroring the same success here
So pleased for her, she's one of those artists where you can't help but feel she really truly deserves it
I feel like 'Soulmate' or 'Like A Girl' from the album could do well with a push!
'Juice' is also back at a new peak of #82 and the album itself is up to a new peak of #5! Glad to see 'Good As Hell' has been allowed onto the Hot 100 now, hadn't occurred to me that was also being kept off by the old songs rule.
I really really wish 'Tempo' was a hit as well but I don't see it happening if the video release had no impact. Here's hoping her next album will be a little more coordinated in terms of the singles being pushed.
I'm sure they'll need to push something when 'Truth Hurts' dies down, maybe 'Tempo' could be it? I mean, if a two-year-old song can do this anything's possible.
'Like a Girl' has EASY hit potential too.
Delighted for Lizzo! Truly deserved
Well it’s actually #1 In next weeks early hot 100 predictions with a fairly big lead!
yes, read there's been a #1 effect and she's increased a lot over Senorita
so Lizzo looks like 100% sure for a 2nd week at #1 (Truth Hurts 425 points vs Senorita 388 points)
the prediction also puts Circles in at #7 and Lewis Capaldi finally top 10
I mean, they could push anything at this point, couldn't they? The songs that are smashing it are 2/3 years old, I wouldn't even rule out Juice getting a further push.
This has remained at #1 in the US! Probably going to be its last week (for now at least) with something from Post Malone's album likely to overtake next week
Fantastic that 'Truth Hurts' managed to go to #1 in the US.
'Truth Hurts' continues to slowly creep up the chart now up to a new peak of #29 in its 11th week in the UK Top 40.
