This time two years ago I would say CS was slowly becoming my favourite but it's currently in the worst state that it's ever been in!
What about you ? |

Coronation Street for me nowhere near its best at the moment. A decline for what was the nation's favourite soap.

Oh easily Coronation Street. I mean, Hollyoaks is f-ing bonkers but you can't deny it has some great moments and it at least knows what its audience wants and gives the fans that little extra (interviews and games etc. on the YouTube channel for instance). Corrie has been in decline ever since The Hat took over and I'm thrilled Kate Oates is taking over because I'm sure she'll put it on top form again.

Coronation Street has been horrendous for a good 3 or 4 years now, certainly since Stuart Blackburn took over. In that time I think the only storyline I really rememebr gripping me was Kirsty and Tyrone, there are probably a couple of others I don't recall fully. There are some good/likeable actresses/character but nothing seems to really happen, then when something DOES happen (like Callum's murder), they drag it on for so long that it becomes hard to care at all. It's no wonder some of their best have left in the past couple of years/are leaving soon!
I don't even watch it properly now, I never do when I'm at uni and if I'm home it's only because my mum has it on. Hollyoaks is actually my favourite, I know it's OTT and ridiculus and I lament the state of some aspects of it, but you can always rely on it for some drama, I'd rather watch the gloved hand killer and numerous other murders than Norris handing out sweets in the Kabin or Michelle draining all life from the screen behind the bar in the Rovers. |

Even though CS is utterly dreadful, Hollyoaks is on a different level of utter shite so I've voted for them
EastEnders + Emmerdale are so far in front of all the other soaps |

Although Hollyoaks is pretty bonkers to watch at the moment. Too much now.
