Oh I see. It's like when James Arthur was in the bottom 2 during the 2012 X Factor then recovered to eventually win the competition. Yeah that's probably the biggest rebound we've seen! Looking back at the following series (Sam Bailey's year), there's some clear rebounds shown - Hannah Barrett was bottom 2 in weeks 3, 5 and 7 but came third in the vote in weeks 4 and 6, and a few more you can see here! |

Yeah that's the ultimate rebound vote! I think he had a fire from being bottom 2 like I said, looking now at the songs he performed he really hit his stride after that with SOS, Let's Get It On and The Power Of Love, so bottom 2 isn't always a bad thing. That bottom 2 was though, I could not believe that Jahmene, Rylan, Union J and bloody Christopher all got more votes than the two most talented acts of the season
There was also Rachel Adedeji in 2009, she topped the vote with Proud Mary after being bottom 2 twice which was quite odd but it was a great performance - she just went on to be eliminated the next week! Katie Waissel did similar, 2nd when she performed Help after three consecutive bottom sing-offs |

Rebound vote is not that evident since 2013, also can't forget Queen of Rebound - Miss Misha B.
