I'm not a fan of short matches, which means I don't usually watch much snooker apart from the World Championship.

Before 2011, all the matches were best of 17 frames until the final and even between 2011-2013, the semi-final were best of 17 frames. Last year, they decided to shorten the format to 11 frames which I don't agree with and has somewhat ruined the prestige of this tournament.

Yes, before they changed it, the UK Championship was the other tournament I would watch regularly. I agree that it has lost a lot of its prestige by changing the format. Do you know whether the size of the television audience (in whose interests the change was supposedly made)?

Originally it was because to allow for every match in the early rounds to be played in front of television cameras and avoided the need to use two extra tables. But of course, now with the 128-man draw that isn't possible.

Such a straightforward shot as well.
