Chart Commentary

“Hello, welcome to another week of the Top 40 Countdown by awardinary. This week there are 5 new entries to look over but there is no change at the top as Clean Bandit reign for a second week.

The highest new entry comes from The Prodigy who have been delivering some proper dance tunes for many years now, and their new single Need Some1 is already sounding like something that could have a major impact in the new future. There are also non-movers in the Top 10 this week from George Ezra, Jess Glynne, Jonas Blue and Jax Jones. Other new entries this week come from Aloe Blacc, Childish Gambino, Silk City and CliQ.

The biggest climber this week comes from Sigala with a host of features from Fuse ODG, Sean Paul & Kent Jones. It climbs a total of 19 places this week. Conversely, the biggest faller is just holding onto a Top 40 position having fallen 17 places this week and that is Man Down.

To make room for the new chart entries, we have had to say goodbye to songs by Bastille, LSD (Labrinth, Sia & Diplo), M.O, Sean Paul and Duke Dumont.
