The Night Is Still Young is too easily overshadowed by some of the other songs on the album, imo.

13. BedRock
Young Money

Average - 7.85
Lovers - 10 (Jupiter, Mack, Cremey, Haus)
Haters - 4 (Cameron) // 6 (liamk97)

Nicki's first real big smash hit and probably one of her most remembered classics so I do feel like this is a little low but it is probably not as suited to Buzzjack's general taste compared to her more poppy hits. She has a pretty killer verse on this but everyone delivers their A game on this absolute bop so it does feel like less of a Nicki track than some of those still to come.

Can anyone believe Swalla is still in? laugh.gif

12. Girls Fall Like Dominoes
Lovers and Haters: Average of 8.00 (11 Joe // 10 THEO, JOSH, burbe) ///// 3.5 (Cameron) 5 (Jupiter) 6 (George.keh)

There are some very polarised scores on this one from Cameron and Joe in particular! laugh.gif it does seem like a very there track and doesn't really explode for me at anypoint in comparison to the likes of Swalla or Stupid Hoe, which are instant moments in a club for example. Only Nicki would mention Madonna, rhyme Donatella with Mozzarella and do it all pretty effectively.

Top 3 in my personal countdown wub.gif The name-dropping verse is one of her very best verses ever and the sample is just so good too. I wish we got a video for this and a proper worldwide push, it's one of her very best in my opinion!!

I posted my thoughts on "Dominoes" in Josh's thread but just here to echo the love for it wub.gif It definitely feels a lot more forgotten than other singles from 'Pink Friday' though so it's pleasing to see it rank so high here.

11. Swalla
Lovers and Haters: Average of 8.30 (10 Andrew, jade, sean, Jupiter, liamk97) // 5 (Josh) 6 (cremey)

In at 11 is one of Nicki's more recent features with Jason Derulo (I didn't even think he'd be big enough to collab with Nicki!?) and Ty Dolla $ign. I really think this is an absolute club banger and the catchy instrumental feels very retro/throwback and sets up for Nicki's feature perfectly. Despite looking like a superhero in a Fleur East style background, Nicki delivers a very accessible guest rap chorus brilliantly and I love the visor she wears as well, coming for that new trend wink.gif to answer Josh's earlier question, I can't believe Swalla was still in and has made it this high but I think that's probably because it's more on trend than most of the material and wouldn't rate so highly in a rate in the future.

I was SO shocked when adding up results that Swalla was anywhere near the top 10. I thought most people (like me) bopped to it a bit but found it a bit cheesy and silly at the end of the day. A bit gutted it has beaten out so many Nicki classics when it's a bit shit rly... sad.gif

Swalla is great biggrin.gif in 2017 at least
Let's see how it ages.

For me that's what goes against Dominoes, at the time it was fresh and a real original thing for Nicki to do, but for me it really hasn't aged well and puts Nicki back into a weird indie-rapper box instead of Queen of Rap Ladies.

I feel it's going to age quite badly and the video will do too, it's far from defining or memorable in comparison to other features.

10. Where Them Girls At
Lovers and Haters: Average of 8.34 (10 spades, jack, George.keh, Theo, liamk97, Ultra) // 6 (burbe, dan)

Opening the top ten we have the David Guetta team up with Flo-Rida with Where Them Girls At. The high energy power and one of Nicki's earlier ventures, this has snuck in just ahead of Swalla. It sounds like your typical David Guetta track from earlier the 2010's, which surprises me it coming this high as I thought it would have been forgotten in the midst of other gems.

Can we appreciate this screenshot though from the video?

I do love "Where Them Girls At" (hence the 10) and Nicki's rap is fiyah but it is pretty dated.

Just no at "Swalla" mellow.gif Thank god it's not top 10.

Where Them Girls At is a bit too loud/noisy for me. I love Nicki's verse but would be nowhere near my top 10 either...

Totally agree about the name-drop verse. My second fav Nicki verse after Monster.

09. Anaconda
Lovers and Haters: Average of 8.54 (11 Josh // 10 (Jade, Liam, Sean, Davidson, Jupiter, Burbe, Cremey, liamk97, Dan) /// 6 (harry), -1 (Spadam)

Up next on our top ten countdown is what I'd define as Nicki's signature and massive moment, Anaconda. This is shamefully a MASSIVE jam for me and is one of the ones I enjoy rapping. I t really is like three songs in one for me with the slower part at the beginning, the chorus part and of course, the bit at the end where Nicki is basically talking kink.gif To match this fantastic song the video was brilliant and was a massive improvement on the previous video of Pills N Potions, with Nicki delivering both looks and discussion for many a reason. Here are a few GIFS for the lazy among you who wont' rewatch the video kink.gif

Not only that, Anaconda sent the internet into frenzy with several photoshops onto the singles artwork and quite amusing some of them were. Simple, but effective me thinks.

I do really think this is a massive moment for Nicki - I'd even argue alongside Starships this is her signature hit.

08. Swish Swish
Lovers and Haters: Average of 8.62 (11 Sean, liamk97, all is vanity) // 5 (Andrew) 6 (Josh, Jupiter) -1 (Ultra)

SWISH SWISH BISH, ANOTHER SONG IN THE BASKET. Up next at 8 we have Nicki Minaj featuring Katy Perry (kink) with Swish Swish. There genuinely seems to be a polarised opinion on Buzzjack over Swish Swish, with myself, Liam and All Is Vanity leading the way giving it an 11 each, with my fellow mod Josh giving it a 6. For me this is Nicki's best guest rap - it's absolutely flawless and fits the song perfectly from the "Katy Perry, Young Money" intro to the "I already despise you, all that fake love you showing couldn't even disguise you", with the best bit probably being "RAN? WHEN? NICKI GETTING TAN? MIRROR MIRROR WHOSE THE FAIREST BITCH IN ALL THE LAND?", just as iconic as the feature on Monster. There is something so euphoric about hearing this on a night out or on the radio, it's definitely an instant feel good moment wub.gif It's clearly a track about Taylor Swift as shes had beef with both Katy and Nicki over the years, which is probably why Ultra gave it a -1 with this being the perfect response to the original nasty diss track Bad Blood.

Swish was actually top THREE for most of the rate until Sam came and saved us all at the end with her -1 *.* I agree with Sean that it sound amazing at a party/club/when completely drunk but I'm not so keen on it when sober heehee.gif It grew on me in the end but it's nowhere near to being her 8th best ever single for me :/
