3rd November 2019

It's 2 weeks on top for Sigma & Jack Savoretti, just holding off the highest new entry from Amon Tobin, a gorgeous ambient instrumental from the Brazilian producer who describes it as Margot Robbie riding a unicorn. I look forward to the next Suicide Squad film then with Harley atop a horny horse. Harry Styles gets his first ever top 10 as he Lights Up the upper end, and Israeli indie band Lola Marsh Echo that.

Ariana, Miley & Lana all notch up another top 20 with the Charlie's Angels track that is better than it's swift real-world chart-dropping would suggest, SHAED return at 32 with Trampoline - with ZAYN on tow this time for the former early 2019 goodie, making it 3 One Directioners listed, 2 to go then for a full house. Gwen Stefani's 2004 chart-topper What You Waiting For is back following some itunes sales action, in at 59, tick tock tick tock; RUFUS DU SOL get another chart entry with No Place at 61, their 3rd for the Aussie act, following their top 5 debut in 2014 with Sundream - presumably where the Du Sol came from for the former RUFUS which prob got the elbow from Chaka Khan's former hitmakers.

5 years MIA, La Roux is back with her 6th entry and 10 years of chart entries - once Bulletproof, that must be why she's now an International Woman Of Leisure. 1995 chart-topper Glorybox also brings Portishead back to the chart after itunes sales, while 1980 hits Lip Up Fatty gives Bad Manners a boost, and Barbra Streisand's Bee Gees song Woman In Love does the same as both pop up in the itunes too. Any excuse for oldies....! I once reviewed Bad Manners concert in Record Mirror, a much-missed music paper.

Tame Impala have a second track off the forthcoming album enter, a 9th chart appearance in 4 years, Endor's Club Chart-topping hypnotic beats debut a full 42 years since Star-Wars-related product topped my charts (Endor is a planet in the franchise), Dua Lipa's back fresh off Graham Norton, Of Monsters & Men get a 5th entry since their chart-topping debut in 2012, James Blunt makes it 2 off the new album, while Alan Walker & Jonas Blue both return for some chart action, Alan Walker having topped my charts previously, Jonas Blue, err not, though he did take a Polaroid with a 4th One Directioner, Liam Payne.
