Dexton's Top 50 (18/12/2018) (Week 84)



- Ariana spends a third week at the top although both Hilltop Hoods and George Ezra are creeping closer and closer to her, the gap between the top 3 (or even top 4) is extremely small right now so next week's #1 could be anyones! Except Jon Bellion who's Cautionary Tales slips to #5 this week.
- Billie Eilish's when the party's over (9-7) and Bastille's The Decent (10-8) climb within the top 10 whilst Ariana Grande's newest release Imagine enters immediately at #9.
- After spending 8 weeks dancing around #20-#35 Khalid's Suncity finally makes a significant climb up to #14
- Blossoms, Sia, and Ariana all make strides up the top 40 with their Christmas releases whilst festive songs from Hurts at #37, Echosmith at #46, and MNEK at #47 enter lower down - expect all of these to have major climbs next week!
- Non-Christmassy new entries come from Christian Leave, Elk Road & JES, and Avril Lavigne. Jax Jones & Years & Years also rebound to #44 after almost falling out of the top 50 last week - a future hit for the 2019!
- Big albums from the year climb once again back into the top 5, George Ezra is at #2 and Panic! are at #4. Bastille holds on to #1 for a second week whilst a new entry from Vic Mensa is at #7, and a re-enter for Khalid is at #9.
