Out of those I bought both the Olly and Helping Haiti singles on CD at the time! I was reminded of the latter recently and was surprised by how star-studded it was, with the likes of Mariah and Miley taking part I loved 'Please Don't Let Me Go' at the time but don't really ever return to it nowadays, unlike some of Olly's other singles. Little Mix's winning single got no points but Sam Bailey was considered by people? :')
Elsewhere some of those have aged like milk - especially 'Green Light' |

I should add these are only the Zero pointers for 2010-12 which account for over half the total of all zero pointers. Zero pointers from 2013-2019 will be posted tomorrow....

Oh sorry I hadn't quite twigged that while multi-tasking with work! Right, okay then, intrigued to see what else has 0 from 2013 onwards

I really enjoyed the two Roll Deep number ones and still don't mind either of them, both would have been in my top 40 if this went that far down but can't say I'm expecting anyone else to have voted for Good Times. None of the others I've ever had any time for

I much prefer 'Good Times' to be fair! That has somehow held up a lot better for me Maybe it's the lack of dodgy road puns in the lyrics lol.

Of those the only ones I think I considered voting for were 'Heatwave' and 'Candy'.
I enjoyed Shout For England for what it was at the time but has it been played even a single time since Germany destroyed us in that World Cup? |

No real complaints about the first set of zero pointers there, Payphone at least made my 'considered voting for it' list, I didn't mind Please Don't Let Me Go either and I'm surprised that's got zero.
And whilst both Roll Deep number ones haven't aged particularly well, I'm disappointed that it's Good Times that avoids zero points rather than Green Light, I preferred the latter though don't really revisit either of them much now despite enjoying them at the time. |

Green Light has to be one of the most undeserved #1s of all time too, it was very quickly forgotten and furthermore it held off the year's biggest single from reaching #1 in Love the Way You Lie which has held up to this day as one of Eminem's signature songs. It was a very close sales margin it won by iirc as well.

Oh yeah i'd forgotten that 'Green Light' kept LTWYL from #1. As much as I did enjoy the Roll Deep songs at the time, that was definitely the wrong result.

Very surprised to see 'Candy' and 'Please Don't Let Me Go' in that list - arguably not Robbie's or Olly's finest moments but thought they'd have at least picked up a point or two!

Very true, I made a post on that in the unlucky #2s thread earlier today in fact! I much prefer 'Good Times' to be fair! That has somehow held up a lot better for me Maybe it's the lack of dodgy road puns in the lyrics lol. The road puns made it more amusing to listen to than Good Times for me! |

'Candy' is the only real surprise there for me, that wasn't far off my votes - was a good last hurrah for Robbie!
A few others there that I do like ('Please Don't Let Me Go', 'Good Feeling', I will even defend 'The Club Is Alive' as objectively terrible but fun xx) but mostly just the expected exodus of dull charity offerings there. Pleased to see 'Twilight' and 'Payphone' both out, they'd rank very highly on my list of worst #1s of the decade. |

I was actually surprised to see no love whatsoever for 'Payphone'. I never liked it personally but I thought that was an unpopular opinion.
But yes the endless 'Number 1 by default' of being a charity/X Factor release was the low point of this era. |

So, JLS - Love You More got some points from its week at #1 (in which Day 2 was the same as Day 3)?
No great losses for me in those songs going out, many of which probably wouldn't have got near #1 in a streaming / OAOS climate. A little surprised to see The Lazy Song there but it's certainly not Bruno's best. |

The Lazy Song and Cannonball deserved better, I nearly voted for the latter

I have very fond memories of the 2010-2012 period - I think it was quite a confident and carefree time for me in my late 20s but also for chart music it was really the golden age of the download. I don’t think there’s ever been another period where the singles market has been so healthy but also where the chart has been so democratic and free of record company or chart rule interference.
That said it really did throw up some stinking chart toppers! I don’t think any of the ones that have gone out even made my long list for scoring points, though I did download a few of them at the time including The Lazy Song, Candy, Green Light and Sing. |
