Any chance of Sigma and 99 Souls staying top 40 tomorrow then?

Not impossible but I'd expect not. Shame, this is my favourite Sigma track to date, hope it can climb in eventually.

The Beatles 1 should have had a boost with last night's ITV special. Surprised it wasn't advertised during the 2 hours but was this morning, as was the Elvis album straight after!

I'm not sure if the advertising rules allow it. It certainly wouldn't have been allowed years ago, but I don't know whether the rules have been relaxed sufficiently since then.

Maybe they have as, during the Joanna Lumley Elvis special last week, his album was advertised.

Did that programme feature much music?

Quite a lot, yes, classic tracks as well as some from the new album.

Little Mix just need to sell 3,614 more to make it their highest opening figure, which seems doo-able once streaming is fully added. I don't think anyone expected them to even do much more than 35k, so this is a huge result for them, especially on their third era. They haven't even been that front-loaded, their sales have remained stable all week and they'll be within the top 10 fastest selling of the yar. Ellie's album has had a much bigger commercial push as well. Just typical that they've ended up against what will be the fastest selling album of the year from Elvis.

Gutted that Sigma and 99 Souls are looking likely to miss the top 40, both great tracks and deserve more!

Though Sigma would be more likely to creep in at a later date if the album is still out this year or if they perform with Rita on X Factor

Really hope 99 Souls can hold on, preferably in favour of that Sigma track if it comes down to it.

I imagine Anastacia will fall short. Although Resurrection actually gained a place IIRC.

Fleur was right to hold back her single for two weeks and will continue to remain top ten I think for a few weeks due to the asda advert! Reasonable chart placing I say! And Adele top again smile.gif there's no stopping her !

Albums

1 Elvis Presley - If I Can Dream (75.4k)
2 Little Mix - Get Weird (49.7k) *
3 Ellie Goulding - Delirium (35.1k) *
4 Rod Stewart - Another Country (24.2k)
5 The Beatles - #1s (22.9k)

The Beatles' album is called '1' (as in 'one').
Some of the new versions are also called '1+' (as in 'one plus'), but none of them are called '#1s' (as in 'number ones').
