Chart 24.3.23

This week its been Taylor Swift battling herself for the top song. 'You're Not Sorry (Taylor's Version)', a 2021 album track from Fearless (Taylor's Version) has been rising over the past few weeks and finally makes #1 this week. It was a very close battle and ultimately Tay's new one 'All Of The Girls You Loved Before' has to settle for #2. It is one of 4 songs Taylor released to celebrate the beginning of her showstopping Era's Tour! The other 3 tracks also make this weeks top 10: 'If This Was A Movie (Taylor's Version)' is at #6 and two re-recorded soundtrack singles from the Hunger Games are at #7 and #8 respectively. 'Eyes Open (Taylor's Version)' and 'Safe & Sound (Taylor's Version). The latter originally featured duo The Civil Wars, but they have since split up. They did reunite for this song however, credited individually as the featured artists Joy Williams and John Paul White! #4 was Last Train To London from Mimi Webb whilst last weeks #1 'Pretty Boys' from Caity Baser slips to #5. Mimi Webb & Lizzy McAlpine round off the top 10.

Sabrina Carpenter also impacts this week. Her album 'emails i can't send' recieved a deluxe version on Friday titled 'emails i can't send: fwd'. All 4 bonus tracks chart this week, led by the wild-west sounding 'Lonesome' at #3. 'things i wish you said' is at #19, 'Feather' is at #30 and 'opposite' is at #32. Two songs from the regular album also re-enter: 'Vicious' and 'because i liked a boy'.

There is also a new one from Lewis Capaldi ['How I'm Feeling Now' at #17] and Lana Del Rey ['The Grants' at #32] as well as re-entries from Lana and Taylor Swift.

Next week expect impact as Lana Del Rey releases her latest album. Its already had 2 top 5 hits 'A&W' and 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd', the title track!
