22. From Me To You (1963) / non-album single Original vote: 4/21 votes / Tie-break round: 10/16 votes Now we can finally move on to the next round! 'From Me To You' polled 62.5% of votes in the tie-break round, so that is out, while 'Something' gets to survive. We go all the way back to 1963 for this one. 'From Me To You' was released as a standalone single in the UK and became the group's first official chart topper here! They did it in style as 'From Me To You' stayed at #1 for a whopping 7 weeks. It's a very short Lennon-McCartney composition, coming in at less than 2 minutes long. They wrote it on a coach while touring with Helen Shapiro. Here we have a straight-forward love song, much like a lot of The Beatles' early material. It features doting and romantic lyrics. Paul was quoted saying that a lot of their early songs used "I", "me" or "you" to make them more personal for fans. The song comprises of Lennon and McCartney singing in unison throughout and Lennon also plays prominent harmonica sections. 22. From Me To You | 4/21 votes (original vote) / 10/16 votes (tie-break round) 23. Get Back | 5/17 votes 24. The Long And Winding Road | 4/20 votes 25. She Loves You | 6/21 votes 26. Lady Madonna | 6/21 votes 27. The Ballad Of John And Yoko | 7/25 votes Please vote for your least favourite single from the 21 above! |

I'm pleased with the outcome of the tie-break round. Gone for 'Eight Days A Week' again!

Having voted for From Me To You from the start,I am now switching to Eight Days A Week. It wasn't a single in the UK so it's about time it went out.

yellow sub - it's delightful but y'know, Ringo's singing it. Love Ringo, seen him live, but it's not one of his showstoppers, it's a jolly singalong. His great moments are in his solo stuff - Photograph, Back Off Boogaloo, You're Sixteen - or non-singles, With A Little Help, Good Night...
