Apparently appearing on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: At Home Edition' for an interview on April 1st.. or it's an April Fools joke basil.gif...

Posted by: Jαsє 30th March 2020, 10:48 PM

Wonder if it'll be talk about the virus or promo for the album. Either way I look forward to it heart.gif

Posted by: isolAddy! 30th March 2020, 10:52 PM

hopefully she will perform as well.

Posted by: SKOB 31st March 2020, 06:44 AM

Would be brilliant but where did you find this info? Nothing on my Twitter...

EDIT: Found it, she won't sing though but YAY

"Wednesday, April 1: At Home Edition: Vice President Joe Biden, Lady Gaga and musical guest Marcus Mumford plus Best of Fallon moments. Show 1232E"

Posted by: StayatHaus 31st March 2020, 09:53 AM

That pretty much confirms no music then. An interview will be good enough, and I can see it focusing on Corona/lockdown and mental health.

Posted by: StayatHaus 1st April 2020, 05:29 PM

This has been moved to Friday now ;o

Posted by: StayatHaus 1st April 2020, 09:52 PM

So she is on tonight after all lmao. A very brief interview apparently x better than nothing?

Posted by: isolAddy! 1st April 2020, 11:45 PM

Lol she loves playing with us does she?

I will watch this tonight wub.gif

Posted by: SKOB 2nd April 2020, 05:58 AM

Ok so the official announcement of whatever it will be, will come on Monday?

Posted by: StayatHaus 2nd April 2020, 08:38 AM

Here's the interview:

laugh.gif!!!

Posted by: StayatHaus 2nd April 2020, 08:39 AM

The "giant announcement" is coming on Monday, regarding covid.

What do we think it is?

Posted by: Liam.k. 2nd April 2020, 08:44 AM

Announcing she has an an announcement is giving me Britney vibes.

It makes sense though because clearly there is something planned that she can't yet reveal.

I'm guess a charity concert of sorts?

This is very intriguing and I hope it's true! Would be an EVENT and for a great cause ohmy.gif

Posted by: StayatHaus 3rd April 2020, 03:33 PM

The QUEEN is making an announcement on Sunday regarding Corona.. but I thought Gaga's announcement was on Monday? unsure.gif

Posted by: SKOB 3rd April 2020, 06:58 PM

LMAO

Anyway, that In Sync person tweeted that Dua Lipa would be UK #1 so clearly he/she/they isn't always 100% right tongue.gif

Fundraiser or charity event seems a reasonable project for Gaga though, the Queen is turning into new Oprah.

Posted by: Jαsє 3rd April 2020, 07:22 PM

Hmm!

Posted by: StayatHaus 3rd April 2020, 08:17 PM

@insync is definitely in the know with some things, but they also just make educated guesses on others. I'd tend to believe things like dates though because where do they come from?

Posted by: SKOB 5th April 2020, 01:16 PM

Queen of Charity among other things

Posted by: StayatHaus 5th April 2020, 01:29 PM

This would be amazing!

I wonder what service it would stream off? Youtube probably?

Posted by: SKOB 5th April 2020, 01:54 PM

Could Netflix do things like that?

Posted by: Jordan Lee 6th April 2020, 10:14 PM

Can’t piers just f*** off and take his head of trumps backside whilst he’s at it.

It’ll be because Gaga is a woman he’s done this. Had this been a A List male do this like Ed, Drake or Justin Timberlake he’d sing their praises but any successful female he has to have some sort of dig at.

Posted by: StayatHaus* 6th April 2020, 10:18 PM

Can we ban his name from this forum please, lmao ~

Let's focus our energy on how positive this is and what a remarkable thing she is doing!

Posted by: Jαsє 6th April 2020, 10:20 PM

Yeah I feel like I need warning points for dragging his name into such a wonderful thread. I'm ready for my punishment!

Posted by: Jordan Lee 6th April 2020, 10:22 PM

Will Gaga be the final person to perform are we thinking? (best act till last)

This could legit get such good viewing figures as it’ll no doubt het high press interest and it’s not as if anyone will be out either unless they’re a key worker but even then they could watch it when they aren’t at work etc.

Posted by: StayatHaus* 6th April 2020, 10:24 PM

I can't even picture how it's going to actually work? Will the stars give live performances from their homes - is that possible with setting up the technology in each of their houses?? Unless it's pre-recorded? unsure.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 6th April 2020, 11:03 PM

Possibly could be pre recorded as I imagine that there’ll be a few different time zones to contend with as well.

I think The Cure by Gaga could get a big resurgence if she performs it on her set. Her most fitting track lyrically to the current situation and it’s not a signature hit too. Imagine if it took off Ariana OLT style and repeaked 3 year later.

Posted by: StayatHaus* 6th April 2020, 11:04 PM

I'd be here for The Cure getting a resurgance wub.gif It seems largely forgotten about even by the fanbase sad.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 6th April 2020, 11:09 PM

I think it’s because it wasn’t on an album and it didn’t get a official video either.

I only really begun to properly appreciate it over the last two days if I’m honest.

The fact it’s forgotten may only help it’s cause though. I think a lesser known track by her or Stupid Love will benefit more than something what everyone already knows although I could be very wrong.

Posted by: StayatHaus* 6th April 2020, 11:11 PM

Would Gaga herself even acknowledge it? I don't even think it was on the Enigma setlist sad.gif

I feel like, because it's an 'at home' concert, we may get a lot of ballads, or her uptempo songs slowed down and done on piano because it'd be easier to do those than the BANGERS.

Posted by: Jαsє 6th April 2020, 11:18 PM

Maybe it will work the same way as they did for Werq The World the other day? Presenters from their own locations and performers from homes or small stages with limited amount of people - all prerecorded. But they can do live too I guess given the bigger budget and broader technical capabilities.

But I’m expecting decent ratings for this tbh given it’s on BBC One.

It's obviously aimed at "older and wider demographics" despite flavour of the month acts like Lizzo and J Balvin appearing, hence the Elton Johns and Paul McCartneys.

Is it on Youtube live-streaming? I know there'll be highlights tomorrow on BBC One but I wanna view it live from the UK!

Posted by: SKOB 18th April 2020, 03:42 PM

It's on ALL streaming platforms, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram...

In Finland, the local broadcaster airs also the pre-show starting at 9pm online so maybe BBC does that too?

Jessie's Bang Bang performance is the best part of the livestream so far. Those notes, the arms flapping, the 'crowd' interactions, the air guitar, the close-up half way through, a literal legend idec.

at least it was entertaining af hahaha

Posted by: coi 18th April 2020, 11:38 PM

I’ve really enjoyed watching these performances, Hozier’s performance of Take Me To Church was much better than I expected and one of the highlights for me so far! I really enjoyed seeing Luis Fonsi doing Despacito as well (and Liam and Rita’s duet of For You despite not being a fan of the song itself!), Jessie J’s performances were unexpectedly enjoyable too laugh.gif

Wow HUGE!!

Her performance of Smile has reached 1M in just 12 hours!

EDIT: She performed Smile by Charlie Chaplin and was part of the all-star rendition of The Prayer feat. Céline, John Legend, Andrea Bocelli and Lang Lang (which was reported already on Friday).

Posted by: Nick Jonas 19th April 2020, 03:04 PM

oh i was hoping for Stupid Love. won’t bother watching now :/

Posted by: Hauspital* 19th April 2020, 03:29 PM

Yeah she didn't really promote her own material because I guess she wanted the focus to be on the cause.

YouTube up to 20m views now!

Posted by: SKOB 19th April 2020, 03:48 PM

Even if she had done SL, it would had been stripped piano version.

I think she had never sung Smile before?

Posted by: :') 19th April 2020, 04:04 PM

I don't think Gaga was thinking about her career for this which is admirable, even though the little manager in me says Gaga could have done an acoustic version of Stupid Love and released that to help it rise on the charts.

Posted by: SKOB 19th April 2020, 04:18 PM

Absolutely no one promoted their current singles in the broadcast. Eddie Vedder sang a new song but it's an album track, same with Taylor Swift.

Posted by: LMLou 19th April 2020, 05:54 PM

I've watched Gaga's clips but I'll watch the BBC highlights when they are on
Seems like none of the more current artists sang their own big hits apart from like Rita, Liam and Jess.

I did think we would see a lot more of Gaga if I'm honest, just because she was a big part of putting it all together. Just glad it was a huge success

Posted by: Hauspital* 19th April 2020, 05:56 PM

Yeah I don't think we will see Gaga apart from her two performances (opening the show and closing it). But I agree with the sentiments above - it's been a huge success and another huge achievement for her <3
