Let's Eat Grandma and Superorganism absolutely have to be on there!
Everything Everything deserve a spot by default after that fucking TRAVESTY of Get To Heaven being snubbed (i'm guessing it's unlikely though). another personal wish would be Cosmo Sheldrake's album but that's a bit too left field probably |

Ideal wishlist: Parquet Courts Young Fathers George Fitzgerald Jon Hopkins Superorganism Let's Eat Grandma Bodega Nilufer Yanya Snail Mail Everything Everything Snail Mail and Bodega are from USA. The entries have to be from artists based in UK and Ireland (and sometimes Scotland [Biffy Clyro, Belle And Sebastian] and Wales [Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics]), or have at least half of the members from Britain or Ireland in order to qualify. Anthony And The Johnsons won the prize in 2005 with I Am A Bird Now, depsite being based in New York City, however at least half of the members (including the lead singer ANOHNI) were English-born so they managed to qualify. |

I'd love to see LG be nominated, it would be well deserved after his successful comeback!

I really hope Arctic Monkeys DON’T get nominated - so much more deserving records. Fingers crossed for Superorganism, Everything Everything, Jorja Smith, and George Ezra.

I am shocked at what has to be the most mainstream list in years?

Arctic Monkeys 100% deserve to win.
If not them, I'd be happy with Everything Everything or Noel winning. |

oh wow they actually nominated Everything Everything! <3 that alone should make this worthwhile (but the lack of Superorganism and Let's Eat Grandma is a total farce so this thing is still cancelled)
Sons of Kemet album is really good so I'd be down with the 'jazz pick' somehow winning this time |

I think it's a pretty awful list, especially when there are plenty of obvious omissions. Hookworms, SOPHIE, Let's Eat Grandma, Jon Hopkins, Young Fathers...
Nothing is quite as bad as Ed Sheeran making it last year though. This post has been edited by blacksquare: Jul 26 2018, 10:34 AM |

worst list ever, almost reads like a joke made-up list
Ben Howard should have been in that list but they chose joke acts like Noel, best album ever, especially his cover of Ricky Martin-She Bangs :/ rather they give it to Jorja Smith, I'm a fan of Flo and AM but their albums are disappointing |

Shocked at no Young Fathers or SOPHIE nomination.
Really glad ‘No Shame’ is up there though, actually wasn’t expecting that. |
