Buy the Extended Mixes Vinyl or Download
Buy Tension Standard or Deluxe in a format vinyl, CD, cassette if any special offers appear with discounts (discounts may happen the week later if they want to try and maximise ££ during promo week)
Stream Tension and Extended Mixes albums on repeat on your chosen streaming service

Let's also try and get Hold On To Now as high as possible on the singles chart by streaming all versions and downloading if you want from Midnight at the start of the chart week.

Let's start doing our streaming right at the start of the week rather than waiting for midweek and then reacting to the midweek chart positions

Fingers crossed BMG have some more fun things this week for us

The Bonus Download with Heavenly Body and Drum would be nice, but am thinking they may use this to give the album a boost the week later or maybe even in Janaury

Mines been dispatched by HMV cheer.gif

Expecting Top 20 with ease based on the sales climate, Top 10 would be a bonus but could be pushed down by streaming plus the addition of the Christmas albums (Cher, Buble).

Yes. It's a lottery i guess, however don't forget it will grab some extra streaming from the Extended Mixes being added to streaming platforms.

Also if the bonus deluxe does get released will also bring in streaming though that's doubtful for Friday

Actually didn’t realse the boost in sales last week (although I miss the Christmas chart days when 70k might mean you miss the Top 10!)

10 5,959 Taylor Swift - Lover

11 5,718 Drake - For All the Dogs
16 5,092 Tina Turner - Queen of Rock 'n' Roll
17 5,075 The Beatles - The Beatles 1967–1970 (The Blue Album)
26 4,007 Madness - Theatre of the Absurd presents C'est La Vie

Sales are close but not sure she’ll pass the (almost) 6k needed for Top 10, 5k needed for Top 20.

Yep all depends how the splatter vinyl sold and I don't think it sold that many on pre order

Also if any price incentives etc and if she even mentions her new album on her Sunday promo....... lol
I am hoping TENSION is advertised during an advert break

I have a feeling the album will be left to fend for itself and wont get adverts etc, an audience with, will help of course but outside that i dont really see anything else happening.

Agreed, I can’t see it doing much. It’s likely to re-enter but will drop out again quickly after the audience show.

It feels like the album is very much a secondary thought and has been released to promise the Vegas shows, pop up shop, wine etc.,

There is a sense of that, equally i think Kylie may have taken on too much. I think the success of padam padam was a big surprise and i dont think she planned around that happening as Tension feels very under promoted which is a shame as i think if Kylie had more availability to promote more in the UK it could have benefited the singles and album. Part of it reminds of KM94 when Kylie wasnt available for promoting to filming her part street fighter and i felt it was a mistake sidling the album when it was such an important release for her. There is a little part of me that feels the same this time around.

But also the way the albums go in very high then are struggling against streaming old albums is not just a Kylie problem....... its an every artist problem, especially if not on big record labels who control those playlists everyweek

I would actually quite like this but sadly I won’t be contributing this week - it’s one of those that will definitely be half price in the near future imo

No worries Dandy, will you be streaming though to give it a boost?

Yes will definitely give it a listen. Extended versions can go either way, will be interested to see if any of the songs are improved for me

Definitely won’t hold its current price but maybe they have learned from the warehouse full of Disco vinyl variants they have and not overproduced this one laugh.gif
