My gift to you guys......a year-long on this day in Pink history!

I have opened this discussion thread to keep the other one tidy as there will be a lot of posts/photos, maybe even a video or two. So in this thread, discuss the day's posting etc.

It has taken me a long time to gather the information (I still have some days yet to find in later months), so I hope you all enjoy it, spread the word, our Regina is going to make us some banners & sigs for it (post them in this thread please Regina so we can find them )

Hopefully I will be able to post them every day, probably when I get home from work during the week. If for whatever reason I cant post them, I will catch up the next time I am on Buzzjack.

But.... Don't give up just yet!! I just wanted to say that this WILL get more interesting as the year goes on. Its just that I guess work is pretty quiet around Christmas & New Year for Pink, so all I've mostly had so far are paparazzi photos. It is the same for December, there really isnt much info then either

I'm trying to work out the best way to sort out Pink history to save on my computer. I could do with a non-year diary (I've got a calendar on here but its for 2011 and i dont want to confuse myself ) I'm trying to do a word document now but it will be huge I've got them in a database atm but its messy

btw, 2012 history is going VERY well. I'm in a little routine with it now, and saving it on a memory stick so i dont lose it next time my laptop f***s up

I also hope you all know how much bloody hard work it is and how many times I have come close to giving up on this

The website which i get most of my info from is 99% right with dates, but I have just noticed one mistake, which has made me miss an event from last month, call me a drama queen but it has annoyed me!!!

I am getting the rest of the month ready to post, so I can get a head start with May's dates, its not so bad when I have everything ready, but sometimes I dont even have the next day's ready to post

I will catch up on this before friday, yesterday and today i am trying to get ahead with photos & text, so I can start doing this every day again, i've almost done all of July's text & photos, then i want to do August's text, and maybe a few photos

Ok, I admit, I am having trouble keeping up with this.

I am working on a Pink History for next year, and I can't do them both, I'm way behind with my own deadlines for next year's history *geek* Next years will be a lot bigger than this (facebook, twitter, maybe even a website). This year's I put all the dates in a database, but I still have to write them up, find photos etc.

Would you guys be cross with me if I left this year's, and concentrated on doing next year's?

Quick update: This is going really well now, I have so much info, I've almost finished collecting it, and then I will have to write up for each day. I'm going to make it on a facebook page to begin with, probably with a twitter link too, and eventually I hope to have a little website going on too

I stuck at it and saved the Funhouse dates, now I only have the Carnival dates which arent too bad

Then the next step is to read through wiki and find any interesting dates, such as songs leaking and things like that. I really dont think this will be ready for Jan 1st

Ok I want a little bit of advice....I'm ahead of my own personal deadlines, and hopefully could have this finished in a few weeks (of course I'll be forever adding info, but i'll have it all ready to post and to add to..)...ANYWAY...I was going to start it on January 1st, but if its ready before then should I start posted it whenever its ready?
I was thinking of starting a twitter & facebook page the weekend I get back from my holiday, and then starting it properly on the monday after which I think is the 5th december, then I've got a couple of days to promote it and get a few likes/followers.
I could start it now, but I dont want to start it, and then in a few weeks not be able to carry it on because I'm away

Oh, and Regina, if you could kindly make me some of your gimp art? I'd like a few photos done for the profile picture, with the text P!nk H!story (or would P!nk History look better than using the "!"?) I dont mind which photos you use, but I'd like a few so I can change it every so often, so try to used varied ones, old/new...photoshoots/live/events etc.

Wow, I've just had a read through this thread and can't believe how far my Pink History project has come!!

Started research around October 2010, and then posting dates on here on 1st January 2011, ditched posting on here in August 2011 to concentrate on making the project bigger and better. Facebook & twitter opened on 5th December 2011....today is 8th February 2013 and I now have 1792 fans on facebook and 975 followers on twitter.

On This Day in Pink History... 8th February 2000, Pink's first single There You Go was released in the US. I am trying to get this one noticed and I think its the best chance I've had so far to get Pink notice the project. I am trying to start a trend on twitter #Happy13thBirthdayTYG and while its not a trending topic (yet), a few people have tweeted it.
My dream is for Pink to know about this project, because I think its different from other Pink fan pages and there is nothing else like it that I know of for Pink. I am going to write her a letter about it, and hopefully give it to her on tour in April.

I still put in a lot of hard work for this, as Pink History is always growing, there are always dates/events/info to add to the database. I now have a usb stick with the database on, a word document for each day and photos for the events, so its all ready for me to post (unlike when I posted on here, and wasn't very prepared )

Does anybody fancy making me some artwork for Pink History? I havent had any/posted any for a while, so it'd be cool to have some new stuff like that to post, and i SUCK at computer art

go to pink-forever.com for photos (follow the links to gallery, there are thousands of pictures there). Use any you like but NOT paparazzi photos, and put the text 'P!nk History' in there somewhere (feel free to add lyrics/quotes if you wanna too )
