Surprised at the hype for Money actually, a good track but Lowlife only finished 30th and that sounded even more wide appealing at least to my ears!

Would be nice to have another top 10 (and second back-to-back) but shall wait & see how everything plays out

Oh, I may not be here for all of these but hype to all my favourites! I'm really hoping for a FSR Rontvia win here, it reminds me of Baba Yetu and Shosholoza and hopefully it can go one further than they did! Failing that, Aeroche would be great too.

As for That Poppy, Lowlife>>>>>>>Money, so I'm not really getting the hype with that one

And this will be nice and pressure free for the first time in a while due to me being a bystander here

It's recently come to attention of the Séyetan organisers that our entry this contest, Beware Of Darkness was actually 3 separate Jack White sideprojects harmonising as one, which has made it a dirty cheap entry. This obviously could not stand with our status as #1 Rival Paragon so Séyetana immediately launched a fact-finding team to find out reasons that other entries in the BJSC final were also bad cheap bitches. Points would be awarded to the biggest offenders.

Comisserations go to St. Burbia, N DNTN, Pupok, Adonia and Hendinia, who were examined for cheapness but nothing was able to be turned up. The closest we got was that St. Burbia was possibly heard by a couple of wasted 4am clubgoers once but that wasn't quite enough to register.

Reason it's cheap: Persephonia does well in the BJSC icen't a meme for no good frozen. We almost let it go but the cold haunting music bothered us anyway.

02 points ♡ Cadelicia ♡ Die Antwoord - Banana Brain
Reason it's cheap: The number 1 exporter of bananas, Ecuador, has been playing Yolandi Visser's lovely vocals on repeat in its banana-packing warehouses ever since release.

03 points ♡ Unovia ♡ Ali Barter - Far Away
Reason it's cheap: It was heard, quite loudly mind you, in a rural Tajik convenience store in the distant rocky terrain of Central Asia a couple of years ago.

04 points ♡ Hushkanukia ♡ Cardiknox - Wild Child
Reason it's cheap: One member of the Séyetan BJSC commission thought he recognised these guys but he must have been smoking something. Following this mention of a mind-altering substance, all members jumped at the chance for a wild night out with this band, and when they woke up, nursing their hangovers, they all swore the Cardiknox girl yelled something about being 'big in Japan'.

Reason it's cheap: The mention of a Penguin Prison was quite worrying to the commission, who after some cursory research deduced that every tourist who'd been Antarctica would be familiar with this name. Additionally Yoko Ono was marked as 'quite a strange name for an unknown, especially one with such a rhythmic tune, if she ever shows up on someone else's radar again they'll definitely remember her'.

06 points ♡ Avalonia ♡ Symphobia - I Do
Reason it's cheap: It's recently become a classic for wedding ballet parties across a small section of Germany, and its feistiness made it instantly marked for points. It was also responsible for the heart attack of the oldest, most classical-focused and least likeable member of our commission, whose dying words were 'I take it back, give me ABBA any day'. The rest of the committee thanks Avalonia for that.

Reason it's cheap: The fact that this track tells you to clap your hands means that any performance of it is unavoidable with every listener forced to make large amounts of noise so it must be known somewhere. Further research is necessary.

08 points ♡ Harmonica ♡ Meg Mac - Never Be
Reason it's cheap: This bold soulful tune has become unavoidable in gospel churches in the American South and is also known to virtually every Irish-American, who are in the process of putting forward claims to be related to this 'Mac'.

09 points ♡ FKA FKA FKA π ♡ Mai Lan - Technique
Reason it's cheap: This track clearly invented the internets. The use of a 'gotcha' and 'take computer breaks' cut too deep to the serious lifestyles of the commission and two more of them decided they'd heard far too much cheapness and gave up the ghost (to be entered to BJSC under that title soon).

10 points ♡ Kylienips ♡ Icon For Hire - Supposed To Be
Reason it's cheap: I mean, come on, it's Kylienips. Also this is clearly Paramore in disguise. EASY.

11 points ♡ Taahino ♡ Ghost Town - Spark
Reason it's cheap: Spark was deemed to have been heard by so many of the afterlife denizens, that this fact and its hard rock awesomeness claimed the lives of three more commission members to the ghost lifestyle so they could listen to this on repeat, leaving merely two alive to look at the last four.

12 points ♡ Usfland ♡ Midnight in Monaco - One In A Million
Reason it's cheap: After surveys of rich people on the street in Monaco itself, the two members of the commission left deduced that you would have had to be a one in a million person to have not heard this haunting but slow and obviously popular track.

13 points ♡ Aeroche ♡ LITTLE BIG - HATEFUL LOVE
Reason it's cheap: This track turned out to be so yandere that a yandere character was summoned from the anime world to mutilate and subsequently love to death the commission member with the most anime and hardstyle knowledge. The last remaining member quickly scribbled on his notepad 'it's Aeroche so it'll do well and therefore it's cheap' before hightailing it out of the room.

15 points ♡ Fljótavík ♡ Kitten - Fall On Me
Reason it's cheap: The first word of this sultry indie rock grower being Trash obviously calls back to the very famous track 'Surfin' Kitten' (obligatory CAT IS THE WORD), such that anyone who follows the mass destructive war of cats against dogs would be widely familiar with this tune. As he was finishing this report, a building, struck by a dog missile, nearly fell on the commission member but he made it to safety to evaluate the last track.

Reason it's cheap: Upon investigation it was found that other famous world tracks like Baba Yetu and Shosholoza were only played when Ortiga were not available, oh, and it was played to all corners of the universe upon the creation of the world, so all were knowledgeable of this awesome, lifting track. Such pure forms of cheapness obliterated the last commission member in a blaze of white light. His report was delivered to the Séyetan empress, who is now calling for replacements who'll be a little less anal.

(p.s. this was actually a great final, I'm looking forward to the results. I just had a few things to get out of my system)

It was difficult choosing between Kitten and Symphobia for my bronze medal but ultimately, it was the haunting 'Fall On Me' that won out. Fljótavík were strangers to our medal positions until last month where they picked up a silver. So now it's just a gold to go, perhaps next month to make it three in a row. Anyway, what made me fall for this 'Trash' soundalike was everything from the strong vocalist, goose bumpinducing backing vocals and the excellent production. The wedding bell-esque sound made for a very interesting and effective touch.

15 Persephonia ♡ TWRR - Water Frozen

Persephonia receive a second medal position this year (following the 13 awarded to 'C.U.R.E') and ultimately 'Water Frozen' becomes their most pointed entry from us this year. They were so close to being the first nation to receive 3 18s from us, but alas that didn't quite happen. Though they do hold the title of most 18s from us anyway with 2, so their weave in that regard is safe. Anyway, what captivated me about 'Water Frozen' so much was the intense and incredible way that it builds up to something really special at the end. It was not unlike tracks like Space Above - 'This is it' and ONUKA - 'Time' in the build up, which is the kind of structure I just love. The accompanying visuals were also beautiful.

18 FSR Rontvia ♡ Ortiga - Ilumbarada

FSR Rontvia become another new nation that receive our 18 for the first time! My gosh, where do I even start with this song. Well, I had goosebumps within the first 10 seconds it was just so gorgeous. The track is SO Enigma, and I was already a huge fan of them so it was just natural that I would be all over this. FSR Rontvia seem to capture us most with their stunning efforts, as the entry that comes closest to this one in our affections was '7even'. They have truly outdone themselves with this excellent song out of the archives and we would very much support a dark horse win.

@Bray, Lotti is only posting scoreboards every five votes or something like that, everyone knows you'll be keeping a running tally the whole way through and if you're leaking who's ahead of who at this stage it looks pretty likely you'll leak towards the end when things get a little more close etc. Lotti's put a hell of a lot of work into these results and spent god knows how long formatting it all, doing scoreboards, searching for gifs etc to make this thread as enjoyable to read as possible but whats the point of all that if someone's going to share scoreboards off the site before she's posted? People aren't gonna be interested in seeing her reveals if someone has already beaten her to it, so I don't think it's an 'overreaction' at all

359! EASILY the highest points I've ever had I'm sure, definitely higher than I got with Outsiders this year, I know that much! Thanks for everyone who has supported this, I thought Outsiders and Samurai Swords sounded like hits, but I genuinely told Bra I thought it'd do as well as Holychild last year (aka like 22nd) so this has WAY exceeded expectations for my favourite entry of the year <3

Cor Lupus and FKA Pi's songs were both fantastic aswell, so it's coo~
